I have a new wargame, War Evolution! This is a unique and new wargame, involving empires through out history! Will you survive throughout time?
Some things that make this unique are that: This is a era-progressing thing. Going from the roman age to the distant, distant future. There will occasionally be earth-shaking (sometimes literally) events that happen during the game, and the nations have to deal with it.
Suggested by TSL, nations will have to deal with the consequences of their actions, like if they treat their citizens really really badly, the citizens will probably rebel, or even generate small rebellion nations controlled by me.
TSL'S live-updating Game Map can be found here ;D :
First, choose the geographical location of your nation, you can use that of an existing country or a custom shape. You have to choose sections of large countries, the term large is determined by me. (There are limits to custom spaces, I'll help you if you want to make a custom space)
Then, say what your government is like. This'll probably differ depending on the age you join in. For example, if you join close to the beginning, you'll probably have a monarchy or tribal system. And most likely not a communist state. (Saying this will be useful for diplomacy and other gameplay purposes.)
Regular research is conducted like in NG:I, with a goal of posts to set, like this: 0/10 and 1 (or more if scientist trades have been conducted) added to the left number. When both numbers are the same, (10/10) the research is complete. You'll then get your bonus for math-based battles and the technology will be usable in RPG battles.
However, there is a different type of research in War Evolution. These researches instead of relying on post count (They all use 50 posts) rely on the RPing of the research process. These are the Era researches, and if an era research is RPed well enough, it'll add to a little "era meter", which if it is full, causes the world to go to another era. To designate something as an era research, put an (E) after the research name. Super-influential regular research may add to the meter.
To start a battle against a neutral nation, notify me (include the armies involved) and choose RP or Math type battle (described later). To start a battle against a player country, notify the player, and come to an agreement on either RP or math type. Unlike N:GI, you need to conquer several cities to completely conquer a country. The cities needed to conquer countries are as follows: (and I determine country size) One City Countries: (Like Vatican City) Capital Tiny countries: (Like Macedonia) One City+Capital Small Countries: (Like Italy) Two Cities+Capital Medium Countries: (Like Peru) Three Cities+Capital Large Countries: (Like Mexico) Four Cities+Capital Huge Countries: (Like the whole USA) Five Countries+Capital Colossal Countries: (Like Russia) Seven Cities+Capital Player countries that are One City use the One City city amount, Tiny-Small Player countries use Medium, Medium use Large, Large-Huge use Colossal, and Colossal Player Countries need Nine cities captured to be conquered.
Capital Countries always need to be RP, as do battles involving leaders. If you have a non-combat way of city-capture that you would like used, contact me and I'll create an in-game mechanism.
Math Combat is like that of N:GI, with a battle moderator (Currently I'm the only one.) using Warsim to calculate the victory. Bonuses are inserted normally into the WarSim.
RP Combat is RPed out by the players, refereed by me to get the matches somewhere. Godmodding is not allowed and results in an instant loss. Battles with leaders or capitals always are RPed.
When the Era meter fills, a new Era is achieved, which is basically when the world goes through a technological breakthrough, and new technology is available to be researched to create bonuses.
Events are what gives the game interesting twists, besides RP. Events can one of four types: Random, in which I roll a pair of 10-sided die to create a random event like an earthquake based on the era, Balancing, in which I make an event to balance the game, Pre-determined, at which I insert a event I have decided on already at a point in the game which I have already determined, or Era events, which are era advancements.
The game is currently not in gameplay, but is accepting joining people.

Poison glove, slowly robbing you of your health in a hail of poisonous punches.
At any rate, I call Pangaea and every continent that came from it. No? Fine, Western US.
We're obviously Nonjas. Think Big Brother. We use our brainwashing and extreme military to suppress all rebellions. Mostly the brainwashing. Naturally in the beginning we're more of a religious cult type of nation, using religion as our brainwashing scheme. In fact, Nonjas use that to this day. They were originally many separate tribes that joined together under one leader who proclaimed himself as their new God: Temporarily9.
The leader is Temporarily9, who for the sake of being able to somehow live through eras and eras of history, has a really good immune system.
We've got Stealth Troops, mostly for scouting and sneaking and thievery.
We also have Raid Troops. These guys don't carry much in the way of equipment, but are fast and lethal. They are usually followed by Occupation Troops.
The Occupation Troops are there to occupy new territories. They do most of the brainwashing and "cleansing of the unworthy" (you can guess what that is). They are only needed until an area is well and truly assimilated.
The Control Troops are the ones who stay behind, supervise, and maintain the brainwashing of all Nonja-assimilated areas. They communicate to Tempoarily9. They are the main guards in the event of an attack.
The Base Troops are more specialized guards that stay around the Nonja capital and only about the capital. They only know defense, and they have all the equipment they need. They practically control the land itself. They only come into effect on a direct attack on the capital.
The Elite Troops are squads of Nonjas, each specialized, with the best equipment Temporarily9 can offer. Each has a leader that reports directly to Temporarily9. They are sent anywhere thereis major conflict.
However, greatest in number are the Reserve Troops. They are trained in basic use of basic weapons, and mostly sit around doing farming and such things. They are, in essence, the 'citizens'. Every single person in a Nonja-controlled territory is a member of the Reserve Troops. They help out if their base is attacked, and when in dire need they can be brought into action.
The country of Nonjalia is made of of dense population centers surrounded by wide stretches of nothing, although in the beginning they are much more dense than later on. It has its own problems: Nonja Fighters, people who have resisted the brainwashing techniques and escaped the wrath of the The Control Troops. While the normal citizens cannot revolt properly and have indeed been trained to hate Nonja Fighters to the point of capturing them and reporting them to the nearest Control Nonja, these guys, although few in number, are armed and dangerous. Those that are captured are generally tortured somewhere deep underground.
The leader is revered as a God, and all are completely faithful to him. When computer technology is invented, the entire nation would be linked by one computer network connected to a terminal in the main Nonja Base.
Nonja buildings are for the most part camouflaged and underground.
Gameplay hasn't started, we're just making countries. My location is the Eastern USA.
Poi Dar Gam is a dual-leader system. The two Plai Ars (Plai Ar Un and To, these are Titles passed on, not the actual names) rule with absolute supremacy, and when one dies, after mourning, a "Plai Ar Course Games" is held. A Plai Ar Course Games is a collection of fiendishly difficult and possibly deadly obstacle course and journeys. Whoever finishes them to the best ability, as is judged by the remaining Plai Ar, becomes the other Plai Ar and gains the symbolic headgear of the Plai Ars. The headgear is the outline of a square that fits around the head, or a circle outline. When both Plai Ars die at once, anarchy usually breaks out until two Plai Ars assert themselves. The current Plai Ar leaders are benevolent to their own citizens but are ambitious and seek to rule much more.
Leaders: (As of beginning)
Plai Ar Un Ryob (Ryob being his name) is a tall olive man. He is one of the two original founders of Poi Dar Gam, along with his little brother, and is by far the most ambitious of the two. He often neglects the citizens in his lust for power, and is often busy visiting his armies or personally overseeing tactics and weapons being developed.
Plai Ar To Jelkiy (Jelkiy being his name, Un and To are titles that are passed on.) Plai Ar To Jelkiy is Ryob's younger brother, and less ambitious than Ryob, often browbeaten by Ryob into accepting his decision in the matters concerning military and power. Jelkiy is the one who takes care of the citizens, and is loved by them, unlike Ryob, who they fear and dislike. Jelkiy himself is afriad of Ryob, and it is rumored that the only thing keeping Ryob from killing him is his relationship to Ryob. Jelkiy rarely is concerned in military matters, and very rarely ever oversees them, but sometimes he does oversee major breakthroughs in technology. He is usually either holding public ceremonies or at his throne room.
I'd like to voice a couple of my opinions. First of all, I really don't like the idea of "magic". It makes the game unrealistic, and quite honestly it seems really childish and silly.
Second, the idea of having different classes of troops (at least if they have different bonus values) is a big turn-off for me. It makes it way too complicated.
Thirdly, I don't like the idea of technological progress deciding what era we're in. Rather, it should be the other way around. There should be a fixed time system, (perhaps 4 pages equals a year. It works very well in NGI). As time goes on, our technological capabilities should increase.
Starting in the stone age doesn't seem too appealing either. Perhaps in the present day and working from there? Or maybe medieval times? Maybe even 0 AD? I'm really fine with any time period as long as it, A) isn't the stone age, and B) has a clearly defined year.
I'm really sorry, but the way the game is set up right now is really turning me off. Just trying to give you constructive criticism.
==============================
Edit: Me and Glove talked on chat, and we decided troop classes would be gotten rid of because it makes it too complicated. We also got rid of magic because it's silly and unrealistic. Also, we decided to keep the era meter time system, but instead of starting in the Stone Age (Since that would be really boring), the game is starting at the beginning of the Roman Republic, approximately 508 BC.
Now, I personally like to be as realistic and accurate as possible. So, I will be starting with the Persian Empire, the way it actually was around this time. The emperor is currently Darius I, and the empire is at its largest, and is prospering greatly. My empire currently covers this area, if the size is permissible:
Custom Areas ARE allowed, but that's huge! I mean, you're spanning several countries there. An acceptable custom space is about the size of one country.
Capital: In middle of peninusla, called "The Great Spaghetti City."
In tip of peninsula, we have a city called "The Penne Tip."
At end of peninsula (edge of Pastaland), we have a city/fort called "Lasagne Fort"
Religion: Great Spaghetti Monster.
Government is Head Chef over Chef's Advisors over the population.
Head Chef is picked once every 3 years by Chef's Advisors out of the Chef's Advisors. Best Chef.
Chef's Advisors are picked by new Head Chef.
Head Chef and Chef's Advisors mainly cook more spaghetti and meatballs for the recreation of the Great Spaghetti Monster. They also develop new ways to fight using pasta. Seriously.
Leader at current time (100 AP (After Pasta)): Head Chef Fedelini Linguine Spaghettoni.
Military:
Swords: made from linguine/Ciriole hybrid with wooden/poison tip.
Shields: Large Crozetti/Lasagne hybrid with wood inside. (Wood by shieldmakers who found it best.)
Did I mention that the poison is made from a fungus that grows on rotten uncooked pasta?
I may have to invent new kinds of pasta later on. Pasta from special crops engineered to make the desired pasta... and more spaghetti to the new Spaghetti Monster.
Obviously, the Spaghetti Monster will not be a fighting unit. That would be ridiculous.
United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Iran and West Bank. (It seems like a lot, but a bunch of those are itty bitty countries)
