I have heard of people "unzipping" the dust jar. I have no idea what this means. Sorry for sounding like a newb.

A *.jar is a Java ARchive file, which resembles a compressible folder. A *.jar file usually contains all Java programs and media necessary for running an application, and can be executed.
Since a *.jar file is like a *.zip file, you have to extract its contents before you can access them.

Basically it means people look at the java files and images that make Powder Game (or Stick Ranger) tick. Easy to understand?
EDIT: Darn, Nonja'd. I really need to pay more attention.

Is there any way to obtain the file?

Yes, many. I have the jar for SR and PG. Unzipping them on the other hand, is something different.
(and haven't the jar does NOT mean you can play it offline, it's not made that way)
If you were to unzip it, you'd get class files. Uneditable java files that can't be changed, but can be run (which is how you play PG and SR today)
At least that is what I understand. I've never been able to open and view a class file's coding before.

It's very useful. For instance, we can see hamsters. Pyramid and Oasis in SR were found with that.

Stupid macs can directly see the coding of a class file AND edit it... (tested on my friends mac)
So technically if they were good at coding they could edit PG to be playable offline (which infringes the copyrights)
It makes NO sense that a mac can just see class files, but they can... I was astounded, but I'm thinking of snooping around PG's coding (possibly) on my friends mac to try and make some sense of it...

I can't, I'm not around my friend with the mac... and I don't have the mac myself...
I'll try looking for it later... (when I get back to school this evening)

Well, I could use a decompiler and try snooping around too, but it would be messy and annoying.
