So you might have already gotten my Greasemonkey script that linkifies the uploads. Because I got tired of using a space remover, I included one in the script.
Removes spaces and other stuff from codes you put into the textfield
Creates a link to every upload on dan-ball.jp you can easily share with others
v1.2 *New* Tries to create links for every PG Code posted on the forum. The code has to be enclosed in code tags.
Installation 1) You need Firefox 2) You need Greasemonkey (for now, my real extension thingie is a bit WIP right now) 3) Install the addon
If you already have the Linker only extension, you can (and should) deinstall that.
Updates If you already have a previous version installed, you just have to click the link again and install it.
If you have any feature ideas, please share.
History: 0.5: dan-ball upload linker only 1.0: initial release with the dan-ball linker and space remover 1.1: create PG links from forum codes 1.2: small bugfix to not open PG twice for forum codes 1.3: Now correctly handles html linebreaks and non-code parts in code segments
You might know I'm pretty lazy, so I added a feature that tries to create links from this Forum directly to PG. So if you post a PG code properly enclosed in code tags, this addon will make a special Link from it, that directly opens PG with the appropriate code. Check it out, its awesome. To update, just follow step 3) again.
*edit* Feel free to sticky the thread.
And I kinda start to loose track on code I posted or wanted to post on this forum...
I know its a double post, but its to inform you that I fixed a bug where created Forum links will open a new window with the upload and change the forum window to PG too. Now it works as expexted and just opens a new window.
I don't think I will include encryption. Everyone with half an idea of what he is doing could crack the encryption, because this thing is distributed in pretty much the source code. So since the extension would have to decrypt it, it would have to ship with the decryption method and ripping that out of the source is pretty easy. I could start and obfuscate the code and make it harder and such, and I would have to disable the get button and trick PG into not allowing uploads and the user from preventing to use firebug to look at what I did... Much work for little gain (IMO). If others would like this feature too, raise your voice and I might change my opinion.
I could move the crypting to the website, but still with open source, everyone can see how to communicate with the website and decrypt them on their own using that website. And it would be quite a lot of extra work I don't see the reason doing.
Also I'm not sure youre replying in the right topic, because youre referencing the upload generator? This is an extension to link to PG codes...
