So as you know I have fallen behind since ~March 2009. Without members of the ODBF and with the splitting of the DanBall community with RosaSecta there has been no way to regulate the flow of topics by flaming, the Community has fallen into dark times.
Who wants to enlighten me with specific events which affected the Community?

M4's ball course made first page top uploads? Yea not that big news, but cool none the less.
Ha55ii has a new line of mobile games that have been added. Earth Editor has had multiple updates now.

Er, I guess this is where we tell SM about PG updates. Considering it's the PG board.
Well, there's Create, and stuff...

You can see all updates on Dan-Ball Wiki.

Yea. As for the community... Yes there are still noobs there... but I think it is a bit better than before... sorta...

I've seen the updates. I'm not gone forever just because I don't post anymore.
I was asking on the PG boards because the PG community is really segregated, and people who follow PG generally know about how it has changed.

We've mostly gotten over our differences. Artfrost has nothing to do with PG other than having a similar community, and the Xats and us pretty much ignore each other since Listo was removed. I visit sometimes, as do some other people on both sides. We seem to know more about PG than they do in general, but they relate more to the PGCB. The PGCB is as idiotic, ignorant, and stubborn as you remember.

If you actually think about it, we are a very very very small community on the internet.

Not to me. It's been almost two months since you joined. You are certainly not a newbie....

Anyway, we aren't really "very very very small" as you say. We're huge compared to most things on the internet. We're just small. If we were "very very very small" (speaking relatively), we would be the Legolord forums, AKA dead, which is what most sites are.

Yes, not very very very small... but still small.
As you said, very very very small would be dead inactive sites. (like the many proboards sites I've tried to start up)

Good analogy.
Let's just hope that we only grow from here.

Either way, what does that have to do with this thread? This thread is about the PG community, right?

Yes, I'm hoping that the PG community only grows from where it is now.
It does have a lot to do with this thread.

PG community, sure, but I'm not sure I would like this one as much if it were larger. I mean, much larger. We're small and compact, which is certainly better than if we were large enough to ban people like Facepunch does.

The problem with large communities is that threads get made too fast.

Threads that are made quickly are still filtered by popularity since they are bumped up.

Yep. Which is why you have to think quick and learn some clever tricks.

Sure, but so much good content is lost in the process. Plus there are too many people for them to feel any connection. Here we know each other somewhat, if it gets too large it turns into a crowd of individuals except maybe the staff and a few popular members.
