I was just wondering if anyone had given any thought to the amount of time that is spent on some of these uploads compared with the number of votes they get.
Some of my highest rated stuff are brainless virus games, while my player courses that took hours to create receive far fewer.
There is a kind of elegant simplicity to them. Still it just seems wrong that something so simple to make gets ranked so highly.

Yes. We all know about those spammy uploads that get a lot of votes. We all hate them and just pay no attention to them. We don't just (well I don't judge) by votes, I judge by quality.
I'm glad M4's ball course almost made 10K votes...

It's because you said it cost one vote.
For player courses say it costs one votes to play.

Well, one person who votes for everything only contributes one vote. Yes, one hated vote. Noone cares about that person, really, but when you have a really good upload, they also vote. And noone gives them any credit, as they don't really need any. If we think of them as a whole, however... That can make a big difference. Luckily, there are more sensible people out in this world than those vote spammers.

Or not, because it's often considered bad practice.

I just always thought it'd be obvious. If you like it, vote it. I just put it on the virus games to go along with the carnival theme I was aiming for.
maybe it's just zero thought stuff in general. A super-ball course and a base defend I made, received similar higher rankings without taking a huge amount of time to make.
