The Dan-Ball system is coded in Javascript. Everytime you load a page, a script runs over the whole page and searches for every user profile. It the adds the DBs to the profile. Initially every post counts for 2 DBs, so the script just calculates that value. When DBs are transfered, then the difference of your DBs to 2xPosts is stored in your custom title. So the full process is: 1) Find a profile 2) Calculate 2xPosts 3) look in the custom title to find a dan-ball correction term and add it to the amount 4) Display the DBs and remove the difference from the custom title Your custom title artifact is in reality "{S=31}EE Element Keeper[M:468]". The "S=" defines what stars you have, the "M:" how many DBs you have over 2xPosts.
And thats also how skins are created. You have to change what you want changed with Javascript. Pretty damn stupid if you ask me.

Proboards Money CodeNote that, when we edited our mini profiles for this skin, the money code's search had to be edited to find the correct things.

Go to the Admin Control Panel and click on "Edit Header/Footer."
Choose the "Global" H/F.
Insert the code into the footer.

Yes, the same goes for the DBF Chat, or for any other CSS, HTML, or JavaScript code. Some codes might require going into different H/F's, and some might require that they only go in the header, or only in the footer, or part in the header and part in the footer. It all depends on the code's function.
If you want the chat to appear at the top, you place it in the header. If you want the chat to appear at the bottom, you place in in the footer.
