The PGCB is probably the most full-of 11-year-olds of all the Comment Boards. Imean, seriously. I couldn't find it now, but some asked everyone to reveal their ages. Most people were 7 or 10

Why can't we use the @ symbol? It's perfectly fine, do you really want us all to stop doing this on every single comment board and rather incorporate their names into our posts by use of commas? It's a lot easier and clearer to put an @ symbol, and @ makes probably the most sense to direct text at someone.
Of course, the > symbol is great too (pun intended) but there's no reason why we should not use the @ symbol.

Each site has it's own symbol for a reply or mention or none at all. If it doesn't have one, you should simply mention their name (ex. Well Cod, I think...).
As said before each site has it's own symbol:
Google+: + Twitter: @
Come up with your own, be creative.

That's cool I guess, as soon as I find it on my keyboard...
Edit: no,we shall do: ~ because the symbol you Made is not accessible on the iPhone.

Yeah, good luck getting all of the PGCB to accept a new symbol when @ works perfectly fine for all intents and purposes. I for one will continue to use @. Also, youtube.

Lol~PGCB, this is for the forum, and if you don't like it, don't use it, it's okay to be completely empty of all creativity

Sure, and so is Youtube. Using a well-established preexisting symbol doesn't mean I'm devoid of creativity any more than your well-established emoticon there shows you are, or my use of the word "hello" instead of some random made-up word. @ in this use has been well-established, not only by Twitter but also by Youtube and countless comment reply systems (anything not advanced enough to use indents, really). Besides, ~ already has a meaning. It means "about" or "approximately". ~PGCB means "about PGCB". If you insist on using a unique symbol, try ! or soemething. !PGCB. Doesn't have the same "At" thing, though. @pgcb is even pronounced "At PGCB", whereas ~PGCB is something else entirely. Put simply: @ is a symbol DESIGNED to mean "at". It's pronounced at. It's designed to signify the website to be found in an email, sure, but it has a new meaning. Using it when targeting a message toward a specific person is no less creative than saying "lol" or using " ". Not using it just because it's "mainstream" or "too well-used" is just a hipster way of thinking, and nobody likes hipsters.

For literally like every other comment on the PGCB and PGCB2 you could make a post on here. On the SRCB the comment board is mostly free of idiots, except for the occasional person that attempts to troll.

I can't respect someone that does not use punctuation. We should ask for these people to read their own comments aloud and see if they can do it in one breath.
