Fine, but how do you suggest we improve it?

Including not just a limited number of pages, but all the pages that have been posted on for the past 24 hours. At the moment, if a page has been posted on and then a certain number of pages are posted on after it, that post which was first posted on can be bumped of the list. (I've noticed this many times.)
So all I'm saying is a slight modification. XD I snooped the source again and couldn't find it this time around.... XD

Isn't that the entire point of the code? It only shows the newest ones?

Am I completely wrong when I say that "code" is proboards code and has nothing to do with header/footer, so we can't change it? Youre looking for the last posted threads right? Perhaps this thread is similar to what you are looking for?

I think the code is proboards code, but Memzak said he found it somewhere in the H/F.

I think thats highly unlikely. Proboards code will never show up in the H/F. And even if it did, we had no chance of changing it. And unless the newestthreads page has some hidden parameters, we're out of luck to make it show more newest threads on that page.

How about we implement a flash game into the forum? We could put it in it's own sub-board, though thread would work, and have it's code embedded in the H/F. Oh, and don't worry about legalities, I already got the permission for one. Free, and no legal hassle.

I looked for a third time, and more clearly and I am sure I must have been mistaken the first time. For I can't find the code anywhere. It must be a proboards code like you suggested, my bad. (unusual because I never knew proboards added that feature. They don't tend to update often)
Sorry for the request of the impossible.

It isn't entirely impossible, quite hard though.

It isn't entirely impossible, quite hard though. Can you share your basic idea how it could be done?

The PG/EE/SR vote needs to go on the calendar. And it needs to be held. I should have been done this week. Anyway, how's Nov 30, or Dec 1?

We select the MOTM then. How about friday next week?

Badges board I see. I made my vote, can I add the badge for the game I voted for?

Post by Rock on Nov 28, 2010 23:36:15 GMT
The PG/EE/SR Vote needs to be listed as an announcement so everyone who's too lazy to visit the Badges board can see it.

Can't you just do that? I mean you are staff in that board.

I don't think so.

I think he can. We'll have to wait until he logs in to see. He should modify a post in that thread and not change anything in the post except ticking the box: "Make this thread an announcement."
I was sure that while I was a moderator I could do it as well. (yes and just a moderator not a global moderator)

We need either a Japanese board or Category.

|
|
Post by ~Memzak~ on Nov 29, 2010 12:56:15 GMT
But we don't have any Japanese people. (well we do, we have 3 that I know of, but is that enough?)
I'm not sure whether it'll attract many people and if we add it we'll need a japanese speaking mod.

I don't think we have enough to warrant one. It's not profitable either.

What do you mean profitable or not? If it is a good idea staff can create it for free.

~Memzak~: No on the MOTM and alternately you can just click the announce button.

Oh yea, if you have the quickmod thing open or something... Gosh I haven't been a mod on pro-boards for a while, my modding info is rusty.

I got some Ideas that would encourage people to join Contests:
1. Dan-Balls for entering should be 100 again and if it's a hard contest that takes plenty of effort then it could be 150. 2. There should also be 1 Karma for participation.
Ana nother random Idea i got was that for every 5 Badges you earn you get 1 Karma for your work for earning these Badges.

Post by Alonso on Jul 14, 2011 14:47:35 GMT
So, you get one karma, for the karma badge, one for the active badge, each time you get it and one karma for the members badge, you see, that kinds of counteracts it and also if you are always trolling but you get badge, like chatter, you get one+ karma. How about karma for every badge you get that is accepted as well as dbs?
|
|
|
Post by Rock on Jul 14, 2011 15:21:55 GMT
Um, no. The participation prize is determined on a case-to-case basis, and you're certainly not getting any karma for losing a contest. The every 5 badges thing might be okay, though.

Post by Qwerty on Jul 24, 2011 4:41:55 GMT
We do have a badge idea prize, sure, but it's DBs. If you suggest enough you might get the Idea badge.
