I'm very surprised no one has thought of this. Although all of the games in the category currently discussed are on computers, chess is still a very popular game, on computers or not. What do you think about this? Or does everyone on the forums suck at chess?

Wait, did you just diss my Chess skills?! Oh no, you did not just do that. You're on. Anyways... I play Chess. It's a small hobby of mine. Competitive practice is what I want. Playing Chess with myself isn't fun, I always lose.

What does the inability to win at chess have anything to do with one's opinion on chess, AnonymousPerson5?
Anyhow, chess is a very interesting game, and I think some of the many variants are also nice. Take Absorption Chess for example. It plays similarly to standard chess, except a capturing piece adds the powers of the captured piece to its own powers, so a bishop that captured a rook (or vice versa) would become a queen, a knight that captured a pawn that did not yet reach the end rank could move like a pawn onto the end rank and therefore be promoted into a stronger piece, and a queen that captured a knight would become the ultimate piece (sometimes called an "angel")...

There's a prime example just above me, GV,
Anyway, I think chess is a very interesting game. It's the oldest board game that survives today and has an interesting history.
What's your favorite opening?

Or does everyone on the forums suck at chess? That was what you said. I am the prime counterexample, and it only takes one counterexample to invalidate a claim. Anyhow, I don't really have a favorite opening move, but I do tend to start in a way that will let me Fool's Mate an opponent if possible...

Chess is fun and I'm not bad at it, there's just a lack of people to play it with. Favorite board game before checkers.

Well, I don't ever push my f-pawn in the opening. So too bad for you, GV.
Anyway, I like White better, but I win more with Black...Sorta weird.

It doesn't matter to me what color I'm playing with. Simply put, I just need to be out in the game.
