Victory at West Outpost C

Someone had to make it.
Lev stretched as he returned to base. He slept a bit, then decided he would train the boxers in his legion. He headed out to the Training Simulator.

No. We just beat the West Outpost C.

Yay, also I completed a map of the area. The dark patches are the ones Pie wasn't able to get before they locked us out. Green are our outposts. (the one by the ocean is the first base camp we arrived in. Red are their outposts. Yellow are their superweapon-things that we know nothing about and we should stay away from. Somewhere in the grey blotches is their main HQ.

I'm guessing the upper right one. We'll likely be fighting all the way in the Antarctic Peninsula for this one.

(OOC: It's kind of unrealistic if we constantly attack them and win, and never get attacked back (excepting the defense of the first west outpost)

Eh, I tried organizing a couple counterattacks, but that's the kind of war you get when it's one-sided. Fox helped out with some info about how the PHX military works, but he isn't actively roleplaying or launching attacks at us. Likewise we don't seem to want to do much in return, you know, except that massive Phoenix army that just arrived right outside the door.

I guess we should get more attacks whilst defending what we have, but if they win at this stage, it'll be a massive loss. (As we only have 3 outposts in total, and our base camp was tiny...
If they were to attack they'd most likely attack West Outpost B.
Also if you want, we could use GV's War simulator for our army attacks but with units instead of armies?
IE: 10000 (home territory) and 12500 of us (+100 bonus because of our tech)
Or something like that...

If we get a +100 bonus, it's only fair they get one as well. They're hardly sitting on their arses techwise, now are they? We just don't know what they have.

They have a lot researched. Just look at all those thousands of Dan-Balls they are spending and how much time they are putting in to it.

It would only be fair for them to have researched as well. Besides, tech has nothing to do with dan-ball cost. The dan-ball cost is just to solidify that within this canon. As this is intercanon they don't have to spend anything.

I got this recent report from a scout it doesn't look good:
This isn't good news guys, we'll need to get there as fast as we can. The maximum I can bring is two legions (from the offense regiment) as I'll need to leave two here at the newly captured West Outpost C. We'll get there in three posts, they'll get there in one.
(OOC: LET THE RP-ING BEGIN!)
"Legion Alpha and Beta, come with me. Delta and Gamma stay here, in case West Outpost C gets an attack." I said.
"Which other Battalions/Legions shall come help me defend West Outpost B?" I asked.

I suppose I'd best get to the bunker. Hopefully my drones will do me proud. Of course, it'll be rather harder with a mobile army, but maybe they have a communication station somewhere on which they rely.

The SR Legion will head over there immediately, Memzak, sir! I gathered my troops and immediately ran to the base. I made it there before the much larger Phoenix legion, thankfully.

"Good thinking Pie, as West Outpost B IS the location of our bunker. I'm also glad to see that the SR legion made it there quickly. The two Cytronian backup legions and I get there in 2 more days. Lev, try and hold the base until then. It'll be an even 12500 vs 12500. Once we get there it'll be 17500 vs 12500 and if these 'nonjas' we contacted gets here in time their unknown numbers will be able to aid us as well, so just hold the base for 2 more (posts) days we'll be there to assist you soon." I said.
"Also, Cytronian Defense Regiment, form as many turrets as you can on the wall to take as many troops out as you can from a distance." I said.

Day 1 "Deeeefense Formations!" My melee troops, the Boxers, Gladiators, and Whippers created a semi-circular barrier around the rest of the army, boxers in front, Gladiators on left, and Whippers on right. The gunners went right behind the melee troops, with the Grenade Throwers behind them, and the Snipers behind the Grenade Throwers. The magic troops were fairly spread out, Enchanters with the Boxers in the front of the melee barrier, Conjurers with the Grenade Throwers, and Magicians in the core of the formation. The support troops were spread out completely, Medics in the melee barrier, Medalwalkers spread in the ranged ring, and Priests in the core with the Magicians. The Wheel Riders were in several v-shaped formations, ready to quickly pound into the enemy when the range between them was fairly short, and repeatedly pound the same area (the center) with different formatins each time in a cycle. The Dragon Riders were in a line up ahead, going to fly straight whilst firing their rays at the area below them. The Shifter Drones were focused in a cluster around them, transformed into 20 white skullbats to harass the mechanized infantry squadrons. The Stealth Gladiators hid among the core of the army, to come out in the heat of the battle when it had got chaotic enough to help disguise them. The Cytronians already manning the station were assimilated into our ranged ring and core, making it quite massive.
The army approached, and my men set their weapons. They drew close enough, and my Wheel Riders started driving in and quickly firing their Multi-Shot Gun-Cannons. The first wave did a fair amount of damage to the army, which hadn't fully expecteda quick attack like this. However, they were driven off, and the next three waves din't do much against the army now, getting destroyed fairly quickly. However, repeated attacks do do something to an army, and the last (fifth) wave broke the line slightly. (I'm rolling d20s virtually to determine how well each attacks do)
The Dragon Riders strafed their target- their left and right flanks stood up well to the attack, fighting off the Dragon Riders before they could strike. However, the weakened center didn't take the attack particularly well, getting hit hard in their broken center, taking out a good few tanks, and quite a few infantry with their ice rays. This slowed down the center for a bit- While our army struck. Their army had now turned into a slightly enveloping formation due to the slowing of the center. Their center hit our Boxers, and although it was only a slight lead for our boxers, we started to inflict quite a bit of damage on their shorter-range infantry. On our left flank, their right flank had crashed down on our gladiators. It was an almost even battle, and a bloody one, but they were gaining a slight lead. It was pretty cataclysmal for our whippers, as they were pummeled by their infantry and tanks without doing much damage. Our shotgunners proved to be sadly ineffective in their center, due to the fact that there were more men on both sides fighting there, and losses were incurred in our center shotgunners. However, they reached their full power in the left side, shooting down many enemy short-range infantry, and turning the battle on our left flank into a winning battle for us! On the right flank with the whippers, not much happened, as our shotgunners were having difficulties getting money for their attacks. However, their short-range infantry were too caught up in piercing our whipper barrier to attack the useless shotgunners.
Our snipers were attempting to take out their long-range infantry and THEIR snipers. The center snipers were taking out some of their snipers, but their longrange infrantry refocused on them, and inflicted slightly more casualties. In the left flank, our snipers smashed their long-range infantry, inflicting quite a few casualties without receiving many. On their right flank, our snipers failed to take out any targets- the long-range infantry were staying back- and were ignored, although a few their snipers split their attention and started taking out our snipers. Then, our right barrier was broken! While they charged in, our shifter drones swooped in. Although it caught them by surprise, and we did a fair amount of damage, they quickly recovered and swiftly decimated our Shifter Drones, and only a few escaped. In our center flank, our Grenade Throwers aimed for their tanks and killed a few, but suffered several losses in the process. In our left flank, our Grenade Throwers inflicted many losses on their tanks, reducing their firepower significantly. Our Grenade Throwers refocused their attention on their infantry on our right flank, and were almost obliterated by the tanks. Their mechanized infantry proceeded to bite deep into our right flank, now in the inner ring of our troops. Our cytronians focused their attention on the right-flank battle, and took out most of their infantry troops, although our right flank was still vulnerable to the tanks. However, the immediate threat in our core was dealt with. Our Magicians fired at their center tanks, doing quite a bit of damage. In the left flank, they proceeded to almost completely destory their front tanks. in the right flank though, they were pounded by thier tanks, who had barely had any casualties. Our Enchanters rushed at them, and were devastated by their tanks, losing any force they had at the beginning. Our Conjurers also welled up to fix the barrier, although they didn't do anything to their tanks. They were focused on our Enchanters though, and the Conjurers suffered only a few casualties.

As the two Cytronian backup legions and I approached the battlefield, we were met by an even battle where both forces were struggling to gain the upper hand. We were going to change that.
"Charge!" I shouted out to all Cytronians both through the communications and to those within earshot.
We poured over the battle like a molten hot batch of iron over an ice surface. Steam erupted everywhere, that steam being frantic attempts by the phoenix commanders on the flank we were attacking trying to save their troops from our wrath.
Our tactic was, in the center we had the tip of our spear, 12 devastators who would dig deep into enemy lines and take out those mechanical troops causing the SR legion trouble. The rest would attack from north and south of the 12 devastators.
I ran in somewhere on the south, taking out as many troops as possible and looking for anyone in charge to slay.
The battle was slowly tipping in our favor.

Well i"m just going to start from scratch... I got into my lazer cannon cockpit, while the other soilders back at base where getting into turret vehicles.
After the drive to Memzak's position, I Drove right up to a group of phoenix's troops (Not sure If I spelled that right, I still don't know how to spell it) And fired the cannon right into their faces.

"Poooosition B!"
My men changed positions in the confusion. The Boxers, Gladiators, and few remainin g whippers formed into a line and created a cushion for my Stealth Gladiators to get in and start takin out the remaining infantry. They did well and took almost all of the enemy infantry out. Then the MElee troops charged. They also did well and began pummeling the enemy troops. The Shot gunners charged up to th etanks, but the tanks were too armoed for it to have much effect. The snipers unleashed their double arrows in volleys on the heavy infantry, taking a few out. The Grenade Throwers threw their Incendiary Grenades into the enemy tank formations, causing quite a few tanks to catch fire and explode, thinning their tank forces. The Magicians also wreaked havoc, taking out a few tanks with their Ice. The Conjurerss tried to fight them but were blasted away with the tanks. I decided to join the fight, and as I charged, the enchanters were taken out. The medics managed to take out several troops and aid the ENchanters and Conjurers though. The Medalwalkers and Priests were being taken out though, but a clustered rush took some of the tanks out. Then I caught up with everyone, and climbed up a tank- And then was promptly nailed by a machine gun and I blacked out.

I said over the radio," Memzak, wheres our tank division? I'll get the navy to back us up with some cover fire, along with the air force, but we have any tank carriers that can go over ice..." *Radios air strike and for naval positions* I took a rocket launcher out of the gun carrier in the back and fired at a battalion getting too close to my laser cannon and blew them to bits.*Hangs up rocket launcher back on gun rack*
I heard a jet engine, then two, then three and our air force came over our heads, bombing some phoenix tanks (Still don't know how to spell that) The navy launched air missiles and they gave their targets a surprise. Underwater missiles, from the sub-navy division took position just outside the navy.
*Sees Lev* ' Thinks, oh crap' "Radios memzak in a hurry Memzak, Take the squads out to make a distraction, Make medics on standby, I'm goin' in hot.*Drives laser cannon up to tank squad that has Lev. Grabs a Gatling gun off of gun rack, notices that a phoenix squad is coming up behind*Radios,"Memzak where are those squads?!"*Notices Flashing off to the right from machine guns*"Oh, ok then nevermind"

"As the only tanks we have at the moment is the laser tank you are driving. We are looking at buying more laser cannon/tanks in future." I said. "I'm sending Cytronians to form 6 devastators for you to be used as heavy infantry. They are sturdy enough to take out some of their tanks." I added.
Things seemed to be looking good as the Devastators ravaged the Phoenix troops the encountered. The northern Cytronians fared well and were pushing forward in the phoenix forces. The southern group wasn't doing too well but holding their ground. I went into stealth mode and help the south out by searching for a phoenix commander to slay.
