In this update they added level 4 stones found in Desert 2 and 3. But the real update i'm happy about is the extension map they finnaly added. There is a lot of land in the extension map which means Stick Ranger still has a long time to go. What do you think about the update.

They also fixed the wavy effect on desert 3.
It was there on desert 1 and 3 but not on 3. But now that is fixed.

Awesome update! Thats a huge commitment from ha55ii to SR. And Memzak, the wavy effect was already fixed in a small update to 7.0 a few hours after its release.

yea I realized that a bit after I posted when I looked at the 7.0 thread.
but on another note, I LOVE the extra map, but I'd still prefer if PG was updated more than SR

Just looking at the World Map as it currently stands on the Dan Ball Wiki site, I think there may be another set of cavern levels that link to the small island south of the desert, mountain stages east of the desert, and possibly stages leading into the oceans to the north of the desert

on the other hand the whole island comes to an end a little more to the east... but untill the whole place is filled with level-dots we have much time left

i prefer that the programmers will also release a new weapon set, since the stones are pretty useless.

i don't like stones either... but the compo items come always come out in the order: stones, crystals, jewels, cards, medals... (at least until now)
anyways, i'd also like a new weapon set, but they just recently released one, didn't they? =)

There are definately mountains to the east. There might be more caverns, but I doubt that there will be new stages leading into the sea. There is no sea pathing heading off into the sea.

Yay, extension map. I guess we know how that works now. I fail to see the mountains...
As to the stones, really? Does anyone here still use stones?

teams that are maxing damage usually use stones on the priests. i cant think of anything else though.

Until I got used to the poison staff I used red and green stone on my priest. And I always thought some people use the white stone with tanks.

Well, they could fill in the blank space at the top with water.

Was hoping in this update they'd make desert 3 boss a little harder, it's way too easy. darn more stones... no new stage or weapons -_-

Qwerty, the mountains are the two spurs of land to the far east of the map.

I've just noticed that the horizontal distance is about the same from the western blackness to the castle as from the castle to the shrine and also the horizontal length of the desert. I believe the pyramid is coming up.

I doubt it'll be a mega-boss, though.
Maybe an inset map? A map that says "Pyramid", and when you click it it takes you to a smaller map?

The distance between Castle and SM Shrine is the shortest yet. Between OS and Casle there are about 19 levels, but between SM Shrine and Castle is only 12. Even then, you can't fit 12 or 19 levels into that desert sensibly, no matter how hard you try...

but if it's a combo of mist grove and desert.. seems like 2 more stages can fit after ??

Maybe it'll be a shortcut, a way to bypass SM Shrine? Like the Hilly area?

I doubt there will be a way to bypass SMS. Probably just another way into the shrine.

Yeah, probably. But how would anything fit after ? It seems to be a "hidden" level; the only of its kind.

Maybe that's the only point of mist grove: a secret level.

Post by Qwerty on Jun 16, 2010 4:21:06 GMT
That's hardly a point at all.

So? The only point of winning the game is to see a "See you. next version".
On the map mist grove opens into the sea/lake/bay/submarine area.

Mist Grove 3 could link to SMS and at the same time. need not link to SMS.

Post by Qwerty on Jun 17, 2010 1:30:58 GMT
Well, I can see linking to SMS. A hidden shortcut would be neat.

I guess. It would make getting around Seaside 3 a lot easier for my boxer team.
