Feel free to post your mega boss ideas here and anything else regarding megabosses.
Mokos:
This is a giant white wheel. It's two attacks are thunder storm, which drops thunder aound it, and summon bat. The summoned bats shoot lasers.

Interesting. Possible, but I think it would be a bit overpowered....

That's kinda the point. Same was said of SM Shrine, and Castle Boss too.

Its overpoweredness and still being able to be tackled with a dodge strategy is why I think it would make a greate megaboss. Plus there is only one wheel boss.

The Castle Boss wasn't overpowered. SM Shrine definately was, but that's what makes the game fun. A challenge. Of course, it would be interesting if we had a megaboss that spawned copies of itself. That would be brilliant. :3

i dont think that will work. you can very easily bait it so the only way the boss can defend it self is by summoning bats but the boss could only summon 99 max, which then you could pwn it easy. i suggest changing thunder storm into fast firing fire pellets

Or thunder pellets, if you want it to stay with thunder.

Shold be a mega boss of desert and mist grove, tho then you have to let it have the needles attack.

Mist grove is a part of the seaside world.
It would be the boss of desert world, or any other world that will work. Pellets would be ok.

Let me restate that: Castle Boss WAS overpowered. Key word was. It used to go straight from grasslands to Castle Boss. It was considered practically undefeatable. I fail to see how Mist Grove = Seaside. That's like saying Cavern = Forest, or Hills = Grassland. They are on different parts of the map, they have different environmental effects, totally different in every way. The differences are even greater than those between Submarine and Seaside. As for , it may be a Mist Grove type level.

Ah, I remember back then... Straight from Grasslands to Castle... And there were only four classes... Ah, nostalgia...

I did not say mist grove=seaside. I said it was a part of the seaside world, which also includes the submarine series. And cavern and forest and hill country are all a part of the grassland world. So far each world has had only one boss stage, and the boss stage ends the world, and each world has its own set of heads.

I think that a MegaBoss, Who is just as strong as a normal Opening Street Boss. But copies himself twice. Then everytime you kill one. Another one spawns. Until you have killed ten of them.

My boxer can kill the OS boss in 3-4 hits. He does 8-10 hits a second, so that would take him around 4 seconds to kill 10x OS boss
*edit* I was on the phone, I said 10 seconds earlier...

hmmm, maybe....
but back to the original boss of this thread, I think that if it was the end of desert it would probably not be overpowered...
but at the moment I think it would be a bit strong.

I doubt it can be at the end of Desert. Too close to SM Shrine.

Actually, back then, it was Opening Street -> Grassland 1 -> Castle Boss

That's what I just said. Grasslands to castle boss. Guess I didn't say which...

The next megaboss should be level 60 because Castle is 20 and SM Shrine is 40. I really doubt they would put a level 60 stage right next to level 40 stages.

Exactly. A third megaboss after the desert would be like going from Grassland 1 to Castle Boss, or Seaside 1 to SM Shrine. That second one wouldn't be that bad, actually, since the weakening.

It might be lvl 80.....but it will probably be 60.
There is still about another 5 or more desert stages to come.

|
Post by Qwerty on Jun 17, 2010 14:02:53 GMT
5 or more? I guess there is room for them, but that's quite a few. 8 stages in an area?

|
|
Post by ganondorfchampin on Jun 17, 2010 23:43:19 GMT
The grassland had 7 stages, and the desert appears to be even larger.

Post by Qwerty on Jun 18, 2010 0:21:05 GMT
I suppose so, but what if there's something that isn't desert in the desert-y area? 8 seems an awful lot of room for more cacti and boxes. At least Grassland had varied enemies each stage.

|
|
Post by RubiksMaster123 on Jun 18, 2010 0:33:39 GMT
yep. but desert stages also had some variety too.

Post by Qwerty on Jun 18, 2010 5:04:33 GMT
Some, but we're talking the difference between faeries and snakes, not boxes and other boxes.

I have an idea, how about a boss, when you beat it, it split into two smaller, weaker boss, with half of the boss's HP each, and they alsp split into two when defeated, and make them splitable for 5 or 6 times?

Cool. That would make a very worthy opponent.
