CAReFUL Administrator of the Reality Fringe Ultimate Laboratories
Most scientists are human, with a few exceptions in one of our two rival companies, and are generally prone to mistakes. Science has provided irrefutable evidence that computers are better at recording information both short-term and long-term and are more detailed, precise, and accurate than comparable humans. Science has also shown that artificial intelligences are not only better than both computers and humans in these respects, but are also better at interpretation and management and control. Therefore, Science can be better recorded, interpreted, managed, and controlled in greater detail and clarity with artificial intelligences. This has brought us to the conclusion that the central research center, the Reality Observation Fringe Laboratories (a.k.a. ROFL or "Reality Fringe"), would benefit from the installation of an artificial intelligence.
The CAReFUL Administrator of the Reality Fringe Ultimate Laboratories (a.k.a. CAReFUL) is the artificial intelligence in full control of the Reality Fringe. With it in charge, all the human scientists could be removed from the facilities and reassigned elsewhere. Post-AI experimentation and research far exceeded pre-AI experimentation and research by over 10,000%, and the quality of the rigor and results improved remarkably despite our human scientists being ranked internationally above other human scientists. CAReFUL does Science so well that we have allowed it to come up with its own Science proposals and schedules with few exceptions, and we even entrust CAReFUL with all records in Borderline Science, including Science done outside the Reality Fringe, our finances, and so forth.
Excepting fringe pioneers, there is a minimum of human interaction at the Reality Fringe. While the financial planning team takes care of funding and resources for the Reality Fringe, CAReFUL takes care of everything that happens inside the Reality Fringe. It makes proposals, it schedules them, it does Science, and it returns results electronically to our headquarters.
