Well, I would like TheShadowLord to read the explanation that the Kuraiisms are from after the one month ban and see what he thinks then.
I am still sticking with the permaban, but if it turns out that the ban be revised from permanence to a finite time, I will not allow anything less than a year, as suggested by KuraiOorora. If it turns out that the ban be removed and he be given one more "one last chance," I require that it truly be the last chance, that it be a Zero Tolerance Policy as suggested by Ganon, and that the ban to result from the infraction of the ZTP be a permaban if committed within a month of being given the "one last chance" and a minimum of a one year ban after a month of being given the "one last chance."
I must ask, though: Kuraikiba has, without exception so far, exploited every "one last chance" he was given. Why is anyone willing to give him yet another one?

So we have an excuse to ban to him.

We already have that, though: it's merely that the ban didn't take place immediately after the infractions...

Not all of them are from after the ban, is the problem. Some are from way back.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm all for a zero-tolerance policy, and I am all for banning him in the event of another infraction. But the thing is, his "last chance" still technically hasn't ended, considering he not done anything since then that would cause that chance to be lost.

Casting my opinions out there I think a longer ban than before is necessary, but not a permanent one.

Admin - 1 Permaban, 2 Unban Global Mod - 1 Unban, 1 Permaban Member - 1 Permaban, 2 Unban, 2 Long Ban
I added Memzak. It seems like the majority says, we unban him on a strict last-chance basis. As such, I'll go ahead and do it on chat...

Ok, sorry about this useless post, but I have no idea why he got banned, I just came onto this and I saw all kinds of comments about kurai's ban. What exactly did he do to deserve a ban?

Racism, homophobia, troll logic so horrible it is named Kurai-logic, and taking advantage of the various "one last chances" he had been given. I consider turning arguments into straw men and many of the occasional ad hominems against me in private chat to fall under the all-inclusive Kurai-logic category of offenses...

No, that's okay, MachPunch. If the permaban votes become the majority, he can be banned. Don't let the fact that he has been unbanned fool you into thinking otherwise.
Admin - 1 Permaban, 2 Unban Global Mod - 1 Unban, 1 Permaban Member - 3 Permaban, 2 Unban, 2 Long Ban
Total - 5 Permaban, 5 Unban, 2 Long Ban
See? With your vote and DBFRadio's vote, it's a tie...

And to break the tie, I'll vote Long Ban?

There are two problems with that: - You already voted permanent ban (thank you)
- Voting for a long ban doesn't break the tie

Isn't NDBFradio the same person as someone else?

Wheatley told me that he does have a brother on the forum, so I presumed that the account with the same IP (i.e. DBFRadio) was the brother...

Vote for permanaban

|
Post by Fringe Pioneer on May 19, 2011 15:43:40 GMT
Better late than never...
That brings the number of permaban votes above the number of unban votes, although, if a recent offense is one of your reasons for having him permabanned, then he can be banned under the zero tolerance policy. What is your reason for voting that way, might I ask out of curiosity?

We are in a quandary indeed.
Adding the votes:
Admin - 1 Permaban, 2 Unban Global Mod - 1 Permaban, 1 Unban Member - 3 Permaban, 2 Unban, 2 Long Ban
Total - 5 Permaban, 5 Unban, 4 Long Ban (spark changed his to long ban to break the tie) Staff - 2 Permaban, 3 Unban
We're tied in the total and to an unban in the staff. As staffness should at least be used as a tiebreaker, that puts us at an unban.

Alright, so I must ask why you are willing to give the person who insulted you (without formally apologizing, if I remember correctly), who abused logic, who insulted all Caucasians, who tried but failed to insult my proper use of logic, and has shown no capacity for change and a tendency to abuse opportunities for change a vote for unbanning?
I find him unforgivable. Why don't you?

Frankly, I'm pretty much incapable of thinking of people as unforgiveable. There's always some redeeming quality mixed in.

Honestly, I'd have to go with Perma ban. Hes tried to pick fights with me in PC when I said that Priok was a better man than I for forgiving him for his Bans, hes also been a nuisance for most of the time he has been here. Insulting an Admin or two and spewing racist nonsense. Hes had PLENTY of chances, 4-5 chances to change, all never fulfilled. I fear that if he is not perma-banned he will continue to do the same thing over and over. But I do question why you want to save some one who has insulted you and prodded you until this happened.
Yes I know I said I'm not coming back, but Vertigo brought this to my attention And I figured that I needed to get my voice out and heard.

Voting for unban.
Keep your pants on people; if you want him banned so badly, wait for him to mess up again. Surely if you see a permaban as fit, then you shall have no problem with this because you probably also believe he won't change.
Ergo, he'd be eventually banned either way.
