~Stranded!~ Welcome to your new life. After the large airliner you were riding crashed on an unknown island, you and a handful of other survivors must try and survive on this island until, some day, help returns you to civilization.
Rules Every day, I will post the entire group's vitality amount. This is based on the amount of food (lbs.), water (Ltrs.) and comfort (living space per sq m., heat/cool, and disease all affect comfort). When your vitality score (out of 100) drops significantly, I will post a warning of what you are lacking. Gathering resources generally raises the vitality, but if you gather water when you already have plenty then the vitality will not increase. If Vitality drops below 75, some or all of the players will contract a disease of my choosing. Below 50, the same will happen with a more serious disease. Below 25, more lethal diseases as well as some deaths. By the time it reaches 0, everyone will be dead. There will also be random events, which I will post separately from the daily vitality update and can affect anything from the climate to your food stocks. They can be helpful or harmful, or even a bit of both.
One more thing, besides the obvious laws of nature, there are no rules on this island, unless your community(s) create them. But take it as a general rules that if you make yourself out as a threat, you will probably be ganged up on.
Island climate, flora and fauna are similar to that of a South American Jungle. VITALITY: 73/100 Survivors and their status:- Draxor, Healthy
- GGoodie, Healthy
- Vertigo, Healthy
- QwertyuiopThePie, Healthy
- Rock, Injured Leg, Heavy Bleeding
- Jacob Smith, Healthy
- TSL, Healthy

PLAYERS WHO JOIN ON DAY 1 WILL BE ALLOWED TO SCAVENGE 1 USEFUL ITEM FROM THE PLANE BEFORE IT COMPLETELY BURNS UP.

Plane Crash, huh? Well then...
*Walks out of the wreckage, and coughs out the inhaled smoke*
Is everyone *cough* alright? Anyone hurt?
Where are we...?
*picks up my luggage bag, which contains a compound crossbow*
...
Okay, I think I took the wrong torture kit.

I'm in the plane, I make sure I salvage my katana from the luggage bay. It's sharp, durable, and has served me well through the years.

Sadly, Qwerty wasn't allowed to bring his katana DUE TO SECURITY and only imagined it. I take out my trusty kerosene lighter, barely used. I fidget with it and make it so that the flame can be made quite large, at the expense of extra gas usage. PS: jking at qwerty

I'll play, looks interesting.

I salvage through the plane until I come up with a rather long piece of thick rope. I coil it around my waist and shoulders, and then stumble out of the plane.

Ah, I may as well join and pick up a blanket to serve as many different things, not least of which as the equivalent of the Weighted Companion Cube.
By the way, consider me Jacob Smith from the business class of the airplane...

Oh, if we're taking things, then I pick the stewardess' cart with all the food and drinks on it.

I'm an ex-Nonja that hasn't quite adapted to my new name enough to remember it yet. I managed to escape Nonja rule after a Nonja Fighter told me tales of freedom to be had outside the base. I only managed to bring my katana. Since then, I planehopped a couple times, trying to find paradise.

I'm joining. From the plane, I salvage a portable water desalinator unit, complete with solar panel attachment. It's about the size and shape of a large water gun. They exist IRL, so it's fair game.

Oh, if we're taking things, then I pick the stewardess' cart with all the food and drinks on it. Yes, I was thinking about that immediately after banning from my mind the BSCTT (i.e. chronogun), but figured someone else would also get it. I was right. Not only that, but I think a blanket would make a better Companion Cube than a stewardess' cart...

I'm also an ex-Nonja. Reasons for leaving the Nonjas, classified. I was majoring in Torture.

Most stewardess carts have blankets XD. But if they don't, there's always jungle moss.

Unfortunately, my Compound Crossbow has no bolts. It would be useful for hunting greatly, however. Although, I can sharpen wood to make bolts. Also, I'll have to rely on the rest of you to account for my failure to bring a useful survival tool. I beg your forgiveness.

Don't beg for forgiveness: beg for usefulness so that you won't be the first to be eaten, realistically speaking. Of course, once you make your bolts, that shouldn't be a problem...

The plane is reduced to little more than ashes. No more scavenging.
They were all thirsty after being in the heat of the flames, but Rock's quick thinking provided them all with drink and food. Qwerty and Dracorio contracted a minor lung disease. They will recover soon, but for now their physical ability is severely limited. Nobody got very much sleep, due to the unknown jungle and the biting insects on the jungle floor.

Monokrome says we can start whenever we want. Days end in real time. So...
*starts sharpening sticks on rocks into bolts*
I make about 5 an hour. 1 every 15 minutes. I just make them like, a pyramid head. Not too complicated. I start now... *cough*

Hang on here. You told us we would only get a minor lung disease if we took two items.

I think that you may still be able to join, but the plane and its contents are no longer.

Hang on here. You told us we would only get a minor lung disease if we took two items. I told you that you would definitely get it if you took two, however the disease was a random event in this case. Speaking of a random event, a heavy rain begins that puts out the smoldering forest near the crash. Drenched to the bone, you will not last very long without shelter. Vitality: 90/100Shelter needed greatly EDIT: Also, to new players who wish to join, simply post with an action and you will join the game automatically.

Alright, I'll go find some large branches for we can build a shelter. Shouldn't be too hard, they're everywhere.

I join Rock. The two of us quickly find enough for a make shift hut, and together we begin assembling.

|
|
Post by Rock on May 10, 2011 21:55:40 GMT
Finally, the hut is complete, with enough room for 8-9 people, and a super strong roof made of thatched sticks and unusually large leaves. I bring in the food and drink from the stewardess cart and lay the blankets on the floor.

This cart won't last us forever, did anybody spot any fruits or anything like that in the trees?
We at least have some weapons here, hunting is a viable option.

Yes, I saw a tree with some bananas in it, but they were very far up.

Oh, I know. *takes out my Compound Crossbow*
Lets see... =_o
*shoots and is able to hit the stem with the first attempt*
*catches the falling fruit bunch*
There... *uses 2 more to get us some larger bunches of fruit*
7 bolts left. I'll make more. Anything else we should do?
*starts making more bolts*
