Come on, I know there are at least a few Doctor Who fans around here. Come in. Discuss. Most importantly, don't blink. I started on the tenth doctor, when I saw a marathon on TV, on BBC America. I have long since forgotten the channel number, but that is what the internet is for. He is still my favorite, but I have seen the eleventh some.

I admit I have never seen Dr. Who, but I did find it interesting that, in the move adaptations of the television series, Dr. Who is played by Peter Cushing, the same actor who played Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope...

FFFFFFFFFF-
I've been watching Dr Who for around 6 years now, so I started on the ninth doctor. He was my favourite.

I have a ninth doctor costume. My favorite is the tenth, though.
Veers, which doctor?

I don't even know what Doctor Who is about. Might as well start watching it...

Well, the doctor of the movies doesn't seem to be one of the official Eleven Doctor portrayals. Wikipedia just lists him as an "other Doctor." Considering that, according to Wikipedia, some liberties were taken in the film that contradict TV series canon, Peter Cushing isn't a canon Doctor...

The first time I saw it, it was that one guy with the scarf, I think. I do not really watch this show, but it is kind of entertaining, sometimes.
I think it was Tom Baker, I am not sure. I have never seen the new doctor's episodes, but I have seen a few of those other things. The idea of this show is kind of weird, I am not sure about the words they say.

I love it, I like the 7th docotr and 2nd and 3rd. Well, I find that people say the weeping angels are scary, well has anyone ever got a sledgehammer, I mean look at it and smash a hammer against it. No, I say the diseased people are the scariest, well, I love doctor who but recently there has been a bit more sex references than the old and even the recent ones, but hey, who cares, it is Doctor Who. Actually on second thoughts I care.

I don't really think that a sledgehammer would do much against them. After all, they aren't normal statues. They're quantum-locked. Whatever that means. They don't actually exist when frozen.

Mhm... I've been watching since 2005 with Christopher Eccleston or whatever his name was, as the 9th Doctor, so I know quite a lot... Yes, the weeping angels cease to exist once quantum-locked. If you smashed them up, they would turn into bits of flying gravel bent on destroying you. But what if you closed your eyes and fired? And then if they tried to fly... Someone would look up and they'd be screwed. Especially if you closed your eyes JUST before they hit the gruond. Ouch.

Actually, that was done in a newer episode. Bullets do nothing.
I think the wings are basically pointless at this point. Dunno why they have them. Bit risky. They do use them, though, as in Blink when they flew from one building to another.

Yeah, but they overkilled them, come on, a whole planet full of them, and if you suckk all the energy like in th eplanets, they crack like rel stone, so do that then smash it apart.

To be fair, they got sucked into a time vortex thingy so they never existed, so that also works. They do reproduce, of course. In a way.

It was across a road, yes, but I'm assuming they either used their wings or fell off of a three-story building without making any noise.

What? No, I mean the bit where Sally Sparrow is looking out the window, the angels are standing like statues on either side of the steps up to a building's entrance... She looks away, then looks back, noticing they've gone, and shakes her head in disbelief.
As she walks away, it shows a cutscene of the angels standing just beside her window view. I'm pretty sure that was one floor.
That, or they climbed down. If it WAS three storeys.

That too. Angels are possibly the strangest DW monsters yet... I'm assuming they can move in their solidified form as well, remember that bit in "Flesh and Stone"?

I try not to think about that part. To be fair, at that part they were frozen by instinct rather than by nature.

Well... They'd be broken beyond repair. We assume they can move in separate pieces after being smashed up, but breaking them into... you know... THAT...

I can only assume that an atom is an atom is non-sentient. The components do not always represent the whole. If you break a human down into its component atoms, do those atoms act as a human, or have the same "abstract" hopes and dreams and desires as a human? It is doubtful that smashing a Weeping Angel into its component atoms would result in quadrillions of atomic Angels, let alone Atomic Angels that would all try to attack you. Now, if you were to smash a Weeping Angel into its component subatomic particles, then you get to the point where quantum locking is possible again, but even then you wouldn't get homicidal subatomic particles with the desire to put you back into time so it could feed on the resulting potential energy...

Well, they don't send you back in time anymore... Now they break your neck... I'm PRETTY sure particles can't do that.
