I would reveal the full name of the thread, except it would be infinitely long on account of the recursive acronym. The play is oh so slightly different from other games.
Roles
There are 12 individuals in total: three that are actually guilty, and nine that are actually innocent. Of the same twelve, four seem guilty to the officer and eight seem innocent. The Mafia, vigilante, doctor, and cop should each send a PM to me at the determined game-time night. I will do my best to ensure that, except when game-time is altered by votes, it remain consistent with Forum Standard Time, with "day" beginning at 5:00 FST (consistent with sunrise in London) and "night" beginning at 21:00 FST of the next real-time day (consistent with - you guessed it - sunset in London).
Lynching and Time Altering Procedures
During the game day, role play takes place. You (regardless of your role) may suspect someone of being guilty, and you may finalize a vote to lynch someone. During that time, you may also vote to extend or terminate the game-time daylight hours, thereby effectively prolonging the voting period or forcing a vote count respectively. A simple majority of voters (as opposed to everyone who is still alive) is all that's necessary to lynch, although a majority of more than half all surviving players is all that's necessary to end voting and daylight hours. To extend daylight hours or to end them without waiting for more than half all surviving players to choose someone, the smaller of the unanimity of all voters or more than half of all surviving players is necessary.
Nota Bene: when unaltered, game-time daylight hours should be 16 + 24 = 40 hours in length. Game-time night hours should be 8 hours in length and unalterable. Think of it this way: if the Mafia truly want their promotions, would they really slack on the job and ergo require more time?
Registration
To play, just ask to play. When 12 users decide to play, I will quasi-randomly assign roles. When all roles have been assigned, I will start the game with a story post and then you may begin playing.

The Godfather was about to have his eightieth birthday, and like any good high-ranking Mafia member, he wanted to celebrate by watching some of his enemies tortured and killed. There were these two Mafia members who had been in "the Family" for a long time and were hoping to see some career advancement, so the Godfather promised them that, should they eliminate all his enemies from his list, he would make them his most trusted men. They agreed, so he gave them the list and had them go.
The Mafia had this grand place that they accepted as payment from someone who didn't pay off his debts, and it was a complicated place. It had many separate bedrooms, a large dining hall, a leisure smoke room, and best of all, a hidden entrance to a secret sound-proofed basement where the Mafia could do their business. The Godfather let the guys use it since it had live security cameras all over the place from which he could see anyone, anywhere, anytime. The guys looked over the list. There were six businessmen who didn't uphold their halves of the various deals they had with the Godfather himself, a doctor who conspired to kill the Godfather during surgery from an accident he had, a particularly annoying officer who was chasing the Mafia for years, an ex-Mafia who didn't find favor with the Godfather, and a quixotic sociopath who for some reason the Godfather knew and wanted dead. The two Mafia men invited all these people to the manor, saying the Godfather had forgiven them and wanted to throw a feast as a way to display said forgiveness. Little did they know, they would be executed Ten Little Indian style...

Guilty
Mafia (2) - The Mafia know who they are, and to get their promotions, they must fulfill the Godfather's birthday wish and eliminate all ten of his enemies. Every night when everyone is asleep, they descend into the secret sound-proof basement, agree on who to kill, and kill the person at night for the Godfather to see. Obviously, the Mafia appear guilty when properly investigated by an officer.
Vigilante (1) - He has a demented sense of justice and believes that everyone in the building is guilty for one thing or another, deserving death. Every night, a vigilante individually decides on who to kill, and the next morning a vigilante kills someone. He appears guilty when properly investigated by an officer. He wins if he is the last man standing.
Innocent
Civilians (6) - They didn't uphold their end of the deals, and are pawns in the chess game of life. They don't know who is guilty or innocent, and are only capable of voting for who to lynch at the conclusion of the day, along with the other innocent characters. They appear innocent when properly investigated by an officer. They win if the Mafia and the vigilante are killed.
Doctor (1) - He tried to kill the Godfather while the doctor was operating on him, but he didn't have enough time to inject all the poison before other surgeons came into the room to continue the operation. The doctor is very capable with his practice - almost magically so. He can choose one person to examine every night, and if the person he decides to examine happens to have been assaulted by the Mafia, he can work his magic on the dying man. He appears innocent when properly investigated by an officer. He wins if the Mafia and the vigilante are killed.
Police Officer (1) - He had been assigned to a case that involved the Mafia, and that led to other cases about them. Every night, he gets to choose one person to covertly investigate, determining guilt or innocence, but nothing more specific than that. He wins if the Mafia and the vigilante are killed. He may not commit suicide to exit the game early, but when he is killed his PMs will be released in this thread for all to see.
Pariah (1) - He used to work for the Mafia, but turned colors and tried to take them down from the inside. He failed, and went into hiding ever since. He is very much like civilians, except he appears guilty when properly investigated by an officer. He wins if the Mafia and the vigilante are killed.
