This is a game like Countries. So first off, I will quote the OP.
So, this game is fairly conplicated, but as I post turns, it won't be incredibly fast paced.
Rules:
Country Creation: At the start of the game, you pick a small area of the world, and make that where your starting settlement is. You name your country and the starting ruler, and start making decisions from there. Your country starts with neutral politial leanings, neutral attitude, an average economy, and a small militia spread out throughout your starting settlement, of 10 swordsmen.
Politics and Research Rules:
As the ruler, you get to make political orders, order technological work done, etc., but you can't precisely control where it goes from there- your people have attitudes, and if they get too low there may be revolts, and your politicians have minds of their own. You'll have to watch the consequences of your own actions. And you can't predict what and when your scientists will come up with for your research. We start in the Roman Age.
Military and Diplomacy:
Getting a military is a harder process than in wargames- You can't just snap up an army. You may get people joining the militia, but probably not in the very beginning. You can make drafts, but those make people unhappy. You can have troops automatically allocated to fill army types, or you can manually allocate them once they come out of training.
In battles, I will use the Warsim repeatedly, basing the bonuses upon research and army composition.
In diplomacy, different countries will have different attitudes about different other countries. You will have to talk with them to ally them, establish trade routes, etc. And if they are angry enough at your country, they may attack it.
Turn Format:
When I post your turn, your country's info will be in a spoiler. I will have information and statuses under the following categories: Political, Economic, Technological, Military, Diplomatic, and Other, but it will be rare for all of thm to be updated at once.
This game is mostly the same, except for two things:
1) This is played on Aldenia. I am making the map.
2) You can make your own local terrain.
A game where you have to manage a country you create on several fronts, economically, politically, and military, to name some. However, this isn't just another wargame. In fact, it's much harder than in a wargame to research technology, create armies, and conquer enemy lands. YOu must focus much more internally to become the world's greatest superpower- or will you crumble into dust, forgotten? You must figure out your political system, military, and science, or you're primed for failure.
