Well, if you pour acid into it you can try and survive without hitting the acid instead of thunder, basiclly, the thunder thing with metal but with other things, good for player courses and it can not be destroyed.

And good for blocking things like lava hitting you, so an temporry block and bomb can destroy it but that is it.

Liquids inside "Pomp" also seem to be able to eat eachother up, like thunder does inside metal... Hate to break it to you, but... It can't kill player. Nothing inside Pomp affects anything. Now, let's all complain to Ha55ii about the misspelt name.

Pump Diode you can also create a signal Blocker: 103003008200000000100*02102*01*03*06*05*01w00q00004000v00u01u0B*0200Du0F00Cv0E10E00Ku0J*0Hv0Lu0G*0Bv0Q00N10M*0Pu0O*0Su0X00I10V*0Y10b00au0R00e00Uu0fv0T*0W10dv0j*0cu0iu0Zv0m00g*0ku0o10lu0pu0v10u10xu0tu0z00h00**0s010*0n01200r*13*11*17*16*1901501Bv0qv1Du0wu0.*1801Cu1F014v1E10y01Ku1J*1Hv1Lu1G*1Av1Q01N11M*1Pu1O*1Su1X01I11V*1Y11b01au1R01e01Uu1fv1T*1W11dv1j*1cu1iu1Zv1m01g*1ku1o11lu1pu1v11u11xu1tu1z01h01**1s020*1n000y00x00H0BH0Sy0Jy25H00p2810My2Aj2600Dy29x26j2Fv2412Dx2IH2Cu0By2EH2N024x2M02G12LH00j2Jy2HH2VH2Qy2P02Tu0Bx2Ao2Yo0Bs2Vp0Gx0Jx2dj26u2Yj2h10Mx2d026w2V002x2ix26o27j00t2uH0Mt2512nx26z2Yu0Bt2yu2cx26q2fH2Y02vH00o30x0J.2A000s2St2t02vx39x2Fs3CH3703E10M.3As3Ho3813Kx3GH35t3Dt31000.3LH35p00E0Bp3Rx3FH34j2Fp00Q3XH3It3S.3Uj2Ft3Y13OH2fj37H30H3ex3Zp00n3Nu0B.2Ap3p03Ju1.*21*3w*23*3x01r*3y*3*03.041v1qv43u1wu3v*40v4411y022042u4504Av48u4604B149*3zv4E04Du4C*4Iu4L*47u4N04Gu4Fv4J*4M14H*4O14U04Q04K14Wv4S*4Vu4Ru4Pv4a04X*4Tu4c14Zu4du1Jp2533Xn0030Bm2K*0710414r*4qw0A0mF0 water placed in the left box will stop gas from being conducted. I'm fairly sure you could pull off a full sized calculator. Neat stuff. should help with every liquid tech out there. Main issue was always path crossing. Bird could kind of work, but had alot of issues and wouldn't work at all with magma.

I have too. It's not a pure pump calculator, it only uses it to move the mercury to the adding circuit. The calculator is mostly electric. I was actually planning to make a similar calculator but pump makes this one possible. Yes, fluids in Pumps will eat each other if they are not going in the same direction, and sometimes even if they are going in the same direction (like when a dot tries to enter where there is already some fluid)

Perhaps you could. POMP shoots water through metal, but it doesn't discharge any fluid if there is an arrangement like this:
Pump, air, any dot, solid

I made a signal blocker based off of endy123's except reversed (and a little smaller) it outputs water, until it gets a gas input.

soapy and oil maybe. Would need some sort of reducer though so you don't end up blocking it again.

Oh, look. Hassii corrected the spelling. No need to complain about that anymore... But I intend to find practical uses regarding player course and house tech using this. Once I figure out every single property of this new element, I'll post a text wall of it.Every liquid likes to travel straight.
When different liquids are traveling in opposite directions, they bounce off of each other.
When the same element is traveling in opposite directions, they react the same as thunder does on metal.
It takes two pixels of any powder or solid element to stop any liquid traveling through pump.Splitting patterns Oil, magma, nitro, gas, soapy, acid, mercury, saltwater: I had to come to the conclusion that the splitting pattern is set on random. It could be based off of an algorithm of some sort though... If anybody figures it out, let me know. This is about all there is to it. If I missed anything, let me know.

It also seems that, unlike thunder to metal, liquids liquid and the element GAS travelling through PUMP have a 50% chance of taking a counterclockwise turn over a clockwise one.

Thunder in one, mercury in the other. Just make sure the distance between the Pump and the stopper is at least two dots, otherwise it'll block off the fluid.

well a mercury signal and thunder signal -> thunder signal should be fairly easily...
you could probably use c4 and thunder too make a metal to mercury converter... and a mercury to thunder converter is easy...
well, kinda easy. also, this is more of a "if input one has been sent AND if input two has been sent" rather than if input one and two are both sent at the same time.
so its not reversible.

Mercury to Thunder converter coming up. Its extremely crude, but it works. The center is the important part. Make sure you have a constant thunder imput. 10300000W100000000100*02102*01*03*06*05*01w00q00004000v00u01u0B*0200Du0F00Cv0E10E00Ku0J*0Hv0Lu0G*0Bv0Q00N10M*0Pu0O*0Su0X00I10V*0Y10b00au0R00e00Uu0fv0T*0W10dv0j*0cu0iu0Zv0m00g*0ku0o10lu0pu0v10u10xu0tu0z00h00**0s010*0n01200r*13*11*17*16*1901501Bv0qv1Du0wu0.*1801Cu1F014v1E10y01Ku1J*1Hv1Lu1G*1Av1Q01N11M*1Pu1O*1Su1X01I11V*1Y11b01au1R01e01Uu1fv1T*1W11dv1j*1cu1iu1Zv1m01g*1ku1o11lu1pu1v11u11xu1fq00E00o0Bp0qq1.o20u0XE00s2311y01h00Cz00j0Mq00t0Zy2Ao0Bx2C10dw2Ap0By2Gu0ij1*000.2K00Cu2E002t0Zu2A000m0Tr02j00p00n0Bm0Ty2Nj00w0Bo0D10Mx2bo2Fv0Jx2b000y2eu0Bt2br2Jv0Jp2n02Uw0Jy00z2Au0Bq2c12fz2Qx2wu2Fz2Ty2z00Dz00P0Bj2Jw0Ju2tP00T1*j3410Mo2tT2Mr32T33r2mw0Jm00x37y20T2kn3302Xj3F10Mz2cT0A03Pr2Fn3700Aj3Nu0Bw3Pq0Bz1*T2vj3V02Yv37v2Zn3Tm2XT39u0Bn0DT2mT1*n2Zp3Ty30*0ET2X00Dq3nw2su37q2Fq3s10Mu3pr0B.0AT3h00Eu3To00r37p3Ww35u3Tq42T3Qt30u3p02Cr37o0Bs49u3Tu47025w45T0Bu47p2vw0Jt3po3Wr46w4Mu3Tx47o20w4QT2Jr37c2C02kv4U02kr3uc4203Hv4Zy42c3gc4cx2l02Cu3nr00c3go4lq2h10Ms4N04ac3.o4lp4ou4Du3Tz4fr4Wp4u025u3T.4ft2o14pu4*r4lt51u4vT0fo0Js4A*0Ho58u3T*5A152T5715E02Co00S3qt2t15Gt1*E5Jz5BT2mo1.p5Ip2vz5O05HE2XS3qq5Ku5605HS2500Az5To37r3W*5TT2Mp4C00D*5Op0Br4302C*3Gv3u00A*2pv5lo03u5kv5hn5s025v3Tn5vs3jp0G.35v5lz2N12fv3n.2iv5lw61u3Yv5ot6602rT2Ms69n3Pp2v.2pw37s0Gz35w5Cz6IT3qz5X02cw5lx6My3P.3zy1wu1tu6T028*1s06V*1n06X01r*6Y*6W*6c*6b*6e06a06gv1qv6iu6S06Zv6j127*6d06hu6k*6ov6mu6U*6ru6q*6fv6s06lu6v06p16n*6wu6zv6x*6u16*01a*07104177*76w0A0bL2

So you people know, ant terminates everything in the pipe while burrowing. The ant has zero percent chance of being destroyed when it burrows throuh pipe with magma or acid. And so ant terminates absolutely all flow in pipe. New tech application!

And you can also make a delay with it, like I'm doing with my PG Jeopardy AI... OSHI- I'VE SAID TOO MUCH... Oh well. A few people already knew. It should be done by Sunday, but seeing I just have to copy/paste half the stuff, most likely earlier.

How do you get Pump to (Not Pomp) react with the outside?
|
|
|
Post by Draxorion on Jul 26, 2011 17:59:18 GMT
You have to get the element outside of the POMP in order for it to "react". Unless you mean something else.

If you look at my Jeopardy AI, you'll see random pump delays and splitters that work very well with the metal/thunder currents.

Mhm... I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but something that's just in Pump has a "value" of one. If it absorbs something else, it has a value of two. Something with a value of two will eat something with a value of one, then be eaten by something else with a value of one and it will have a value of two... This could work well with certain... stuff. Still, remember that it won't work with two different elements. Here's a chart to simplify things. Let's pretend blue is value one, red is value two and pink is weakened value 1.5. I'm not sure which direction it has to go in to absorb the other, maybe it's the one that's been in Pump for longer. This is really quite a difficult and unstable concept to work with, so I haven't done any in-depth tests yet. Theoretically, it can go to value 3 and above, and I'm assuming it also works with thunder in metal.
