The old pattern is sometimes okay. It is not necessary but can be used as a template and everything.

Template- a pattern, mold, or the like, usually consisting of a thin plate of wood or metal, serving as a gauge or guide in mechanical work.

However, at exactly 10:49 PM 10/28/2011 PST, I was feeling lazy; moreover, that was the first post to do so.

The above post states the obvious to the average person that knows most acronyms.

The "p" in my name is not supposed to be capitalized. Moreover, it is improper to begin a sentence with a conjunction; it is grammatically correct to place it between two independent clauses. However, as in all cases, grammar can be ignored to create a dramatic effect. This was not very dramatic.

Yet, in ordinary speech, people place conjunctions at the beginning of sentences anyways. Thus, there is no reason why it should be different in written English.

English teachers quite possibly restrict the streamlining of communication in the modern world. The general view of english professors is that the rules make up the language, as opposed to the rules being defined by the language.

This is, in part, why languages evolve so slowly. That is, this is not necessarily a good thing.

That's quite hypocritical of you, as "___ thing is ___ " is a meme.
