No, I'm not talking about your forum. There are some people who lurk in the back and make horridly stupid comments about how PT is better on this forum and we should gtfo. I was simply stating that you don't realize that these people lurk here and stupidly try to advertise for you. Instead, you simply declare that since they don't bother you, they won't bother us; this is false. Perhaps that is why I have a biased view of you. Of course, every community has its complete idiots, it's just that ours don't come to the PT forums and purposely try to be offensive. My opinion is that PT noobs are quite a lot worse than PG noobs.
Also, for one post in the thread it's quite a high amount considering there's only one page.

Of course, every community has its complete idiots, it's just that ours don't come to the PT forums and purposely try to be offensive. For all we know, we have the dreaded Community (as coined by Sandmaster) lurking over in the Powder Toy forum and stupidly trying to advertise for...well, Powder Game, and maybe even us despite how much we ridicule and criticize the Community. For all we know, our complete idiots do indeed go over to the Powder Toy forums and purposely try to be offensive. I can't say that I know of any from our forum that do so, but still.
Likewise, if someone from the Dan-Ball Forum is in any way being intentionally disrespectful in your forum, feel free to send me a PM or, if you also use Chatango, a PC. Posting on our forum about the problem should be alright, too...

Well that raises a problem. I am unsure if our moderators are allowed to ban idiots for acting like retards in other forums, it may be possible if they are actually dumb enough to use their PT usernames on your forums, I'll check with the moderators of PT on IRC.
Edit: "[13:17] Lockheedmartin> Sure we could possible ban people doing something offsite."
I guess we just need to know their TPT usernames now.

If they get annoying, just report the IP address and maybe their username. We have IP networking to track accounts. For security reasons, just message me on this forum and I could work out a ban for the users.

Considering that not EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE UNIVERSE WHO PLAYS PT ABSOLUTELY HAS TO HAVE A PT USERNAME, that might not be effective. That also will not prevent them from being retards. Also, you can't post as an anon on the PT forums, so it's less likely illiterate idiots from PG might go here.
All in all, I believe that all communities have noobs; what I feel is different is that PT noobs scream at us for actually using logic rather than agree that PT IS SO AWESOME DURR DURR

*Sigh*
Since I can easily track the IP of anyone who is not me, getting IPs of any who are unworthy of calling themselves Powder Toy fans will be reported if the need should arise to do so. Considering we haven't had any problems since we last had a petty PG/PT debate, we just might be good. Again, you can feel free to do the same: if you have any Community member (i.e. a Powder Game "noob") issues, you also may take their IPs (and optionally usernames) and send them over to V.I.R.O.S., Temporarily9/QwertyuipThePie, inclusive-or me.
AnonymousPerson5, why are you textually screaming? First of all, although lack of corresponding usernames might not help, IP addresses will be the best of help. Second of all, why does it matter to you whether or not they get less Community members than we get trolls who claim to like Powder Toy? It takes a staff member here what, 10 seconds with a good Internet connection to copy the offender's IP, go to the admin board, click on "Ban User," and paste the IP into the list of IPs to ban? And the last time we had any problems with trolls who claimed to like Powder Toy on the forum was how long ago? Third of all, how is that difference in our communities any different when there are certainly Community members who scream at the Powder Toy Forum for actually using logic?

Yes, so, um, yeah...
So POWDER GAME 2. It seems like it could go very far. I just don't look forward to having to learn properties of new elements so I'll be able to incorporate tech into any uploads I might make.

I wonder how big a role tech will play now that we have a game that seems to have greater stress on fluid motions?

Not very much...? People are going to start bringing in more aesthetic saves rather than real functioning ones.

Patterns and experiments between different elements and wind are going to be MUCH more common now.

Bit off-topic but not worth a new thread, while the "no flaming PT" rule is included withing the "no flaming" rule, should we have an offsite rule about not flaming on the PT forums either?

Yeah... there's always that urge to prove somebody wrong when the top Youtube comment or forum post is incorrect...

And of course everyone is wrong while we're still talking about another topic. Back to PG 2, please.

You started the tangent...
Anyway, I do like BG-Blur and Powder blowing in the wind, I feel as if there was a temporary BG-Line/Blur you could make some nice textures with it.

Again, PG 2 is beautiful.
Is it possible in the default world to make a giant vortex, or is it always doomed to split into many smaller ones around the corners?

Post by Alphaepic on Dec 15, 2011 23:33:29 GMT
What do you mean by 'giant vortex'? Like making a column of powder and adding wind?

(assuming you have lots of powder so you can see where the wind is)
Is it possible to make all the powder to go counterclockwise or clockwise, instead of some breaking off at the corners to go in the opposite direction?

Oh... I don't think so because the wind itself eventually collapses upon itself negating the effect. But you can sustain a whirlpool like thing for about 5 seconds. You just have to have to have a ring of powder that you constantly place wind on in a circular fashion.

I hope they integrate PG 2 and Elemental box, it's long been my hope that moving but interconnected objects (a realistic airplane for example) would be possible.
Hi guys I'm back.

Yay!
PG2 1.1 is pretty cool. Now you CAN make the vortexes and whirlpools for long periods of time. Also, many noob's dreams have been completed with the addition of zero-gravity.

I hope they add water soon, and also something inflexible like wood. I'd like to see if inflexible things in PG 2 block wind.

I hope they add water soon, and also something inflexible like wood. I'd like to see if inflexible things in PG 2 block wind. Well, blok blocks wind, and in fact, wind will turn so it is parallel to blok. Also, the term you are searching for is "solid", not inflexible.

I hope PG2 will get an upload function soon If this ever gets all the elements of the old game + many new things and a bigger screen, this perhaps has more potential than the original PG.

It's a new project. It appears it's made only to make a more fluid and easily programmable. Ha55ii also mentioned something small that I don't understand. Some Japanese thing. Looks pretty cool. It has a bigger screen too. I could make more complex C2L here. I hope Get/Set comes in after the elements are remade. We may have to recreate logic gates with whatever system we get first(some rules may change, for example lightning's turning clockwise). Besides, I'd rather have get/set before elements remade. Does this brighting up what you do not understand?

No, he understands perfectly well. He's just stating his preferred order of reintroduction of elements (Get/Set before some elements), not telling Ha55ii to add something.
