Should we have a thread for people to post what they have already backed up? It would save people from backing up the same things... Also, what technique do you suggest?

Okay, whomever is admin around here (Qwerty? Veers?), you should give as many people as you are willing temporary admin powers, so that we can efficiently make this copy of the forum.

We can easily copy important threads without the need for admin powers.
Anyway, people can just use "search" to see if things are already backed up.

Using search is indeed a good point... or reading to begin with, would be a good point. Reading like this thread is half a year old. And searching... well the old forum is down, so no possibility to backup anymore, and the best backup we have is in my signature... You mindlessly want to increase your post count do you?

Which was made 3 months ago.
Don't you think this thread is a bit old for you to be posting in it? (still not sure weather the no bumping over a month old threads is still in place or if it is still ignored)

Although the rules indicate the "no reviving" rule has been temporarily suspended, it still states that posts much contribute. Sparkpowder, please refrain from posting if your post does nothing to advance the topic at hand.
I didn't think this would be necessary, but it apparently is:
