It's for a contest, and it's my first attempt at an animation. I think it went over pretty well. Please give feedback.

I think it looks pretty cool. The moon looks demented a very tiny bit because it is almost imperceptibly asymmetrical. But, it all looks good. I've never been able to make GIFs anyway, so good job.

The moon wasn't supposed to be symmetrical, that's why it isn't. But thanks.

well i think it would be better with just the flickering light, but slow it down. The animations for the little black people look pretty bad, sorry.

How else am I supposed to make it look like a gun is going off at that scale?

well for one thing i couldn't even tell they were shooting, i just thought they were waving, or something. maybe you should keep this one as just a dark/eerie animation and make another one, BUT make it a bit closer/zoomed in, so you can tell what they're actually doing

It looks alright, I just recommend you improve on shading and giving things more interesting lighting.

i didn't even notice the little people until neon pointed them out, small gifs don't work.

No shit. I just wanted to put more than a flickering light.

I am detecting a defensive tone. Please, it is not a bad thing that there are mistakes in this piece. They are learning opportunities!

No no, I'm not being defensive.

That's what a defensive person would say!

That's what somebody trying to get somebody to admit that they're being defensive would say!

No, it's just heavily referenced.

Ah. Now if the little people are supposed to be shooting, shouldn't the blast effect kinda be going up? ...or, whatever direction they're supposed to be shooting in.

Uh... no. It needs to be going outwards... At the moment it just looks like the guns are flickering randomly. And add more colour to the shots.

No, the middle pixel is the direction the bullet is going in, and the outer pixels are the flash.

No... they still look like flashing diamonds... What I mean is that the bullet should be projected further away from the gun so that you actually know what the little grey men are doing simply at first glance.

Oh, now I see where you're going with that. I might fix it if I ever feel like it

I don't think shooting men are very creepy... Actiony, maybe, but not very creepy. Also, it's not a bad thing to just have a flickering lamp. less is more.

My only problem is that the animation is too fast. Other than that, it looks amazing.
Did you animate this on GIMP?

Yes, I did.
Izac, the shooting men were actually supposed to be the ghosts of the outlaws that were tortured and killed there, but I guess that didn't come across... Oh well.

They're ghosts? Cool. You might want to not make them ALL shooting at the same time. Maybe make them a little bigger and a little bit transparent, and they'll look like ghosts more.

The scale would be weird if I made them bigger though... And there's more than one type of ghost. The most often encountered in ghost towns are shadow ghosts
