Raegus sees John enter the room. John: There you are. We should get out of here. Raegus: Not right now, making a calculator. Found this neat forum that explains everything. The scouts surround the house and talk about leaving. Raegus (yells out open window): Dudes, come by later. I'm making an awesome calculator! Raegus walks back to his computer, then walks back to the window and peeks at them. Raegus realizes that these are more thugs. Raegus, sadly, closes Powder Game and googles for "how to make bombs with household items". He reads the directions, and gets some plastic bottles (out of the recycling) and mixes it with the detergent he picked up earlier and tap water. He grabs some aluminum foil and scrunches them into pieces. He drops a few pieces in each bottle, and places them by the window. Raegus: We are not as unarmed as you think. Raegus (aside to Johnathan): Would you feel bad if you got launched into the middle of the ocean over there? (points to an area of the ocean near an uninhabited island) OOC: Do not try this at home, kids. I got the directions for household bombs off of google. Do not make bombs at home, I repeat, do not make bombs at home. You may seriously injure yourself.
"...When I last checked was too weak to swim well but this weird rainbow block made me strong and stuff... so... I think I'd be fine." Johnathan was serious too. He was pretty sure he could survive most impacts, and into the water from five stories up wasn't too bad.
Poison glove, slowly robbing you of your health in a hail of poisonous punches.

*He woke up in a panic when his mouth started filling with water. He realized he was drowning and tried to swim up. He was almost out of oxygen, and it wouldn't be long before he would drown. Indeed, everything was starting to get fuzzy and black. To make matters worse, he still had a few feet to go. It felt like an eternity separated him and the surface. Already, nearly deprived of oxygen, his arms started going numb, but he had to keep going. He had to reach the surface. He couldn't lose consciousness, drown, and die. Not here. Not now. His vision started going black...
...and he broke the surface. He inhaled as much air as one humanly could, and he exhaled a tremendous sigh. He breathed in again, deeply, and exhaled, and continued this for a minute or two. After several minutes, he could see again and feel his limbs. As he tread water he glanced around to see if there were any immediate threats. There was nothing for as far as he could see, but then his eyes were burning from the salt water, ammonia, and whatever pollutants there may have been, so he couldn't see too far away. With no threats, he could focus on the big questions. What just happened? Where was he? After some pondering, he realized he couldn't even remember who he was. That frightened him at first, but then he reasoned that whatever happened, happened and that having an identity would be unnecessary if there was no one around to refer to him. That still left the question of where he was. All he knew is that, wherever he was, it wasn't the best place to be. He tried to rub the water out of his eyes using his hands, but the hands were no drier than the eyes. No better off than before, he looked around again. After squinting into the distance, he spotted some land. Was it mainland, or an island, or perchance a peninsula? Did that really matter?

*Monkey falls into a strange lab. A wall says "Temporarily9 Test Chamber 5". A piece of paper on the ground says, "You have committed an evil against the god Tempy. Ergo, the only world you will know until you redeem your shame is within this chamber. Please wait for the torture to begin. -" What the hell?
OOC: I'll introduce Monkey again. This time, as my powers were substantially reduced. my only power is Hibernation.
Defined reason for power reduction: Illegal actions detected by Anti-Godmod System.
OOC: Tempy, I'm your slave now. Do as you wish with me.
*After some considerable time swimming toward the land, he could finally touch the bottom of the ocean. He stood up and walked toward the shore, away from the waters that chilled him to the bone and nearly drowned him. He made it to the sand, kneeled down, and let himself plop into the sand. Oh, how the sand felt warm and dry. How it received him and took his shape to comfort him like a good mattress. He lay there for a few minutes to relax and dry before sitting up. When he did, he looked around.
No one. He was in the middle of an ocean on an uninhabited island. Well, nice as the island was (he proceeded to pat the island the way one might pat a puppy or a fictional Aperture Science Weighted Companion Cube), it didn't really have much of anything to sustain him. Well, maybe it did, but he certainly didn't know how to get what he needed from it.*

*Monkey wakes up*
What the? What is this place? Suddenly, he starts to fly and shoot blue fireballs. What the hell?
Monkey finds a piece of paper with indistinguishable text. English:
MonkeyStorm: Subject #27412. Life-saving genetic enhancement performed to save patient. As a side-effect, his skin turned into pure, everburning fire called Infinity Fire.
Reaching under his bed, Monkey finds a green Nonja robe, a flashlight without batteries, and a sword with electricity coming out of it.
Just as he turned to leave, 3 agents with P90 sub-machine guns entered the room. "No experiment of ours ever leaves their room", says an agent. "Oh, yeah?", shouts Monkey as he blazes them with fireballs.
Current Location: Experiment Lab Area, Green Wing
As Monkey enters into another room, he finds an Aperture Science Weighted Storage Cube labelled "Veers". Taking the cube, Monkey walks out to find Veers and return his cube.
S-something was talking in his head. He had to get out of here. Johnathan opened the room's window as the thug pounded on the door. He walked to the end of the room and sprinted, and he etched out a steady rhythm for a moment before he reached the end of the room; there he put a foot against the edge of the window and pushed as quickly and with as much strength as he could. Just above five stories high and with considerable momentum, he made it quite far into the air on his initial lunge alone, seeing the thugs on the ground was kind of funny; they looked like ants and he felt frankly unthreatened. He then looked where he was going, he was indeed heading towards the water near the boat of the thugs. So he shaped himself in a dive, which completely didn't prepare him for smacking into the sand. Right flat on his stomach, which thanks to his species and power didn't hurt him, it did knock the wind out of him.
Raegus: Sure, you can take the roof... yeah, that's fine, feel free to jump off the roof before I throw off my explosives... yeah, let me not use my powers... sure... I feel useless. Again. Like when I first was a teen. *The bottles fly
Edited due to edit.
Raegus: ... Dude, that's not possible.
Edited due to second edit *banging on door* Raegus: ... The door is open. *message enters Raegus's mind* Raegus: ... What. We have to go. Wait, let me-- *Johnathan jumps* Raegus: ... I've been using a lot of ellipsis lately. Ah well... *All but one of the household explosives fall out the window, exploding on the ground by the thugs there. The thugs shoot at the disturbance, while Raegus sprints to the window, picks up an explosive, jumps, throws it behind himself as he uses his power to launch himself at the boat, but a bit more towards the ocean.* *The explosive lands near the door and explodes.* *Raegus flaps his arms for no apparent reason, then thinks better of it and enters a streamline position.* *Raegus dives into the water, rather close to the boat, Johnathan not far behind.* OOC: Umm, hey, your people are pounding on an open door. And it just exploded.

Yep, thugs are taken care of. A couple on the ground still alive, but a good distance from you. They're shooting at you, and they dropped the sensor equipment. Apparently diving into water cleared the traces of the spatial anomaly.
The voice enters your head again. I wouldn't do that if I were you. Go on, let my soldiers tell you what I do to those that disobey.
This is followed by the weakest of feelings of empathy. You have a vague idea what he does to people now, or at least that there is unimaginable pain involved. As I said, vague emotional transference. Not enough to interfere, just enough to send a message.
Voice again. This will happen to you if you do not obey me. Submit to my soldiers. Return to my base. Become one of us, or... well, you know the consequences now.

*Something caught his attention. He turned around and saw some building explode in the distance. Well, whatever was there probably wasn't anymore. He really needed to find some civilization so that he could sustain himself rather be stranded with nothing to eat or drink. He needed to do it soon, since he was starting to feel thirsty. He figured that one bottle of drinking water would be nice.
All of a sudden half a liter of water instantaneously appeared in front of him. What was this madness? After picking it up and examining it for some time, he concluded it was safe to drink. Within moments he only had a few milliliters of water left. No sooner done than he regretted doing so: he scolded himself for not leaving at least half the water. Once he thought that, the water bottle weighed his hand down. He observed the bottle and noticed there was half a bottle's worth of drinking water. He pondered for a moment, then decided to imagine a full bottle of water. Lo and behold, the bottle now held half a liter of water as it did when he first desired drink. He imagined having three times as many bottles as he had. Two additional bottles appeared. He imagined he had half as many bottles as he now had. One bottle disappeared and the second of the two remaining bottles only held half its capacity.
It wasn't long before he found out that, not only could he add and multiply by rationals, but by any real number, and in even less time he found he could manipulate the quantity of his bottles of water by applying any function. What kind of person could do this? How could he do this? Why could he do this? He reduced his number of water bottles to one, took a sip from it, and started pondering those questions...*
Slowly, the figure sat up. Two days, it's been. I think. he thought.
It might've been the dehydration, the starvation, but either way Nightingale's body was not built for this - even though he was just underweight, it was still pretty bad - that might have caused the current state he was in. In the darkness of the night that surrounded the small ring of light, an owl hooted.
As he looked around a faint grumble filled the air around him. Shadows danced in front of his eyes. It was dark tonight - not a drop of moonlight. As he looked frantically around, there it was.
But what would it be doing out here.. in the middle of nowhere? Nightingale wondered. He reached over for it. His hand slipped right through, but that didn't stop him.
But the next time he did, it was there. And it was the best damn sandwich Carter had ever had.
Raegus continues swimming towards the boat and receives the message. Raegus: (thinks) Wait, these guys were employed? Ow, he tortures them? Oh, for me? Wait, what? What base? One of who? How are you in my mind? You're just a figment of my imagination, aren't you? Yeah, you are probably just a figment of my imagination. Raegus, slightly perturbed, gets out of the water and runs to the dock.
...They're just regular grunts, coming up to the island on a regular boat. The boat has a cab from which it is piloted (cab has windows) and a small storage room for weapons and such. The storage room has a built-in holding cell.
It's basically a modified fishing boat, if you've seen one of those. Picture something like this:
But what you can't see is the lower level, below the cab room, which is cramped and has storage. The back has a small makeshift holding cell. No windows in the cell I'm afraid.
Oh, and painted in Nonja colors. Red and black, with the Nonja insignia on its flag.
As David examined the specimen through the microscope, something caught his eye. A strand of it was a completely different color. He reached for a vial of poison to introduce to the specimen. As he slowly poured the vial onto the bacteria, the rest of it slowly decayed but the oddly colored bit remained. Success! He had just found a way to potentially eradicate sickness! David took the strand and mixed into a glass of water. He said a prayer, tilted his head back and drank it.
I enter the boat, and explore it while I wait for Johnathan to arrive. I find the ship's, well, whatever that place on the top with the pedals and the steering wheel and the thingy you pull out is called. It's obvious how to control the boat, and what to press (similar to a car, but some differences). And... the key isn't there. Frick. Wait, no, that's it on the keychain over there. And it has lots of fuel... but where should we go? I search for a map of the area in the cabin, it's called a frickin cabin!
