Martin looks up and notices the noise. "Well, did anyone else hear that?"
He also briefly looked at the shard of tungsten with some sort of pensive interest before averting his gaze.
Ima muses about the possibility of the machine's high voltage potentially bringing one of Yorick's undead back to life. Of course, nobody can really read the mind of an ink golem, so its thoughts aren't the slightest bit concerning. Although, the mere fact that it does have thoughts could potentially be an unsettling thing to know.

OOC: Haha tesla water... Now I remember where that chunk of Africa disappeared to.. "I did." I said in reply to Martin. I'm not quite sure where it came from though..." I said as I suddenly heard something similar to the noise, once again.
"There it is again..." I said more quietly. I walked a bit closer to the group and kept all my senses on high alert... What I found wasn't exactly good news...

Yorick looks worried. "Can't a half-dead old person get 5 minutes of mindless peace?". He gets up and goes after Memzak, standing by his side. "What is it?". He carefully puts the shard in his pocket, looking around to try to see something. Without being ordered, the undead start wandering irritatedly, looking for something that seemed to be bothering them.
"I am talking to you, you can see me, and I could touch you. But I'm not that insane, you know, haha. I obviously don't want you to see my mind. Answer me already, I haven't got much time. Actually, I do. I just... I AM HURRYING YOU UP. Answer me!"
"What a man knows not, he to use requires, And what he knows, he cannot use for good. "
T9: Fine, take the 32nd division. How quickly could we get some clones? I have a bit of an issue I have to deal with.
T9 broadcasts to the minds of all present near the machine.
T9: Still trying to fix that thing? How cute. It's too late, anyway. It's only thanks to the fact that I am distracted that you can even tell the difference between imagination and reality. Or... can you?
"The..." Yorick slowly approaches the forest ahead, knocking on some tree trunks, and hearing a hollow sound on most of them. He proceeds to, with his knife, to try to cut one of them open, to no avail. "...Trees."
The wind then sounds like a laugh for a moment to him.
"What a man knows not, he to use requires, And what he knows, he cannot use for good. "
"You couldn't sense a mind in plant-boy either, could you?" Martin says to August. "But he made noises and made people drop dead for no good reason. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I don't eat my vegetables anymore."
Ima clings onto a tree and looks at it suspiciously - almost, in a way, mocking Yorick.

OOC: God, because of that mental lapse and how it royally fucks over David's plot I don't even want to RP as him anymore...
OOC2: I might let you (Qwerty) kill him somehow and make a new character, or you (also Qwerty) could take control if you (a fist full of Qwertys) want, I'll let you (a few Qwertys more) know later.
OOC: goodie, activity. "Pehaps we should get moving. The machine is obviously not going to get fixed any time soon. The sooner we can find an easily defensible location, the better." I said as walking up to the hollow tree. Whatever was going on, if we didn't move out of the open, we'd be done for sure.
August: Forget defensible, we have to repel his mind.
T9: Do you now?
August: Ignore him, carry on. If you see anything suspicious, poke it with a stick. If the stick goes through, keep going. There aren't any animals in there, so we have got to go in there before the Nonjas that will likely reach us very soon get here.
T9: Nonjas? Those will be the least of your worries.
OOC: So, you want me to take over RP of David? Either way, mind me reuniting him with his old friends?
...and so we started moving. Poking sticks at whatever was or was not there. I repeated the actions of the poke-test just to make sure I'm not out of place. My psionic barriers keep me invisible to Temporarily9 and as far as he knows, I don't have a mind and don't exist, unless he looks through another person's eyes that is. I already have an excuse prepared (albeit a bad one) for that scenario.
We moved as a group and soon we saw something in the distance. I knew it was real, but had to remain sceptical as to it's existence. "Hey what's that in the distance? Looks like a building, do you guys think it's real?" I asked. It didn't seem particularly out of place and we could always put it through the poke-test if no one thought it was real.
I could only wonder what those without mental shield would be seeing on our journey. Poisonous snakes? Monster Predators? Man-eating plants? Hopefully they'll survive until the machine works again.

"What building?" Martin said, "I don't see any-" WHAM, and he walked straight into it. Though to him, it looked like nothing was there. He stepped back and momentarily took notice of a can of cranberry jelly on the ground. "I think there's a building here. I can't tell though. Damn I'm hungry now." He said as a baguette bird flew by overhead.
Ima followed the example of others and tapped the building to see if it was real, though he was obviously not being made to hallucinate.

Reacting quickly, I ducked to the side and rolled. I then echoes of the message and realized that he doesn't want to hurt us. Yet.
"I'm not sure how many of you are seeing this, but it seems like we have company of the nonja variety. Oh, and the building is still there." I said.
From the safety of a bush that I had rolled into, I picked up a nearby stone and threw it at a nonja. It was a clean hit and he was knocked out cold, but the others still remained.

T9: Here, I'll just tell you. Yes, the building is real. No, it won't help you. Promise.
August: Right, considering we severely lack weapons and a good portion of our party is having a lovely little nap back on the beach, we should probably head in here. I don't think there's anyone inside, but my range is severely limited by the constant effort it takes to deflect T9.
It seems like they all retreated, I thought to myself.
"A lot of nonjas left the building earlier. I think I knocked one out, but the rest got away... would we be able to interrogate him?" I asked.
"...or would Temporarly9 just erase his memories as we get to him?" I added. I walked to the front door of the building and opened it. Nothing dangerous happened and so I entered the building.

Martin looked up from a rock he was trying to apparently twist open, obviously faltering a bit under T9's influence.
"Yeah, maybe he has some information in his head to tell us what is inside. Anyway, while I enjoy you guys trying your best to get us somewhere, why don't you do something productive and help me get this jar of mayo open, huh?"
Ima picked up a rock and followed Martin's example, not really knowing why. "No no no!" Martin objected, "We don't need jam. Besides, that's past its expiration date." Ima confusedly threw the rock aside and looked to the others for some sort of guidance.

August: That is a rock. Now let's all just relax and...
A set of walls seem to appear around the party, and they start to slowly slide inward.
August: Right, this way. We should take the Nonja inside, see if we can do anything. We should definitely pick up some conventional weapons while we're here.
I walk up to the unconscious nonja and check his breathing. He was still alive, just out cold. I hefted the body onto my shoulder and carried it inside. I sat him down in a plain chair.
"Alright now that we are... Hang on." I said just before walking outside, taking Martin's hand and leading him inside.
"Now that we are all inside, somebody should guard the corpse while we scout the rest of the building for supplies and nonjas." I said, just before kicking open a nearby door. Who knew kicking a door open gave such a satisfying feeling.

T9: David, good work. New mission now. Here's some coordinates on the island. I want you to go there, kill everyone you find but your old friend, August. I want him myself.
August: Seems like a normal Nonja cache. Guns, uniforms, communicators, torture devices, rubber duck, ramen. Also some basic cooking equipment and bunks. Overall, pretty standard outpost. Ah, computer system! I didn't know he still had these.
August walks up to the computer system and sits down.
August: Ah darn, he's locked this one off from his network. Apparently he hasn't forgotten how effecting unplugging things can be in security. Still, it should have a map of the nearby area. We're pretty close to the outer wall of the main base, but we need some kind of action plan.
