*He hid by a small, safe corner where he temporarily wouldn't be shot at. Now that Matthew actually had something existing to work with, this would be easy. Using them effectively would be a different manner altogether, but at least he could make them. He proceeded to add more bullets to the rifle, turn the one rifle into five more rifles, and turn one grenade into 100 grenades. He shouted out to the others.*
"Alright, now everyone should have two rifles, and we now have a pile of 100 grenades. Let's take out those ships. On a related note, next time we have something, give it to me if you want more of it. Running low on ammo, but still have some? Have me fill you up with ammo. Run out of ammo? I can't do much about that."
*Matthew starts taking aim at whoever might be stupid enough to be standing outside the speedy ships and shooting them. The pilot was probably protected, but that's why he increased the grenade supply.*
The ships are speeding toward you, but the grenades have eliminated those on the decks. Two of them lose vision and crash into each other (hollywood fireball ftw). The third has a dead pilot, and loses control, but is also headed right toward you.
Raegus: Wait, you can resupply... I've got an ide- *two incoming ships explode* Raegus: ... Right... Say, *Raegus takes apart one of his rifles, and finds some black powder. He empties out the contents of one of his grenades, and puts the black powder in. He gives it to Matthew* Raegus: Can you make more of this gunpowder? Now, we can have real grenades... Ah, the third ship. *Raegus throws a few grenades at the third ship*
A couple of the grenades miss, but one hits it right on. Another Hollywood fireball anyone? Unfortunately, while you were running from those ships, a few others got ahead of you.
Three ships destroyed. Ten ships about the same size/speed as yours are around you in a wide circle, and a battleship is approaching.
You're almost out of T9's mental range, but you hear a faint message in your minds which fades to silence as you leave his range.
You cannot run. I will find you, and then [too soft to hear] all of your [too soft again] pain [fades to silence].
David shudders as he mentally hears a message from some incredibly evil being. He feels as though it seeps into his mind, he shakes the feeling and focuses on the task at hand. He wonders how to get out of this situation. Finally a solution comes to him, he grips the steering wheel tightly as he prepares to preform a very complicated maneuver. He pulls the wheel sharply to the left in order to preform a 180. He then pins the throttle for an opening in between two battleships. It's a long shot, but he can't risk being captured by these evil, evil beings. It's the best chance they have. "Ready your rifles! You there, the one who duplicates things, can you duplicate this boat? We may need decoys!"
I zoom past the outer regions of the solar system and eventually pass the asteroid belt closest to the sun. "Heh, that was fun." I said after spending about 10 minutes working my way through the belt at sub-light speeds whilst avoiding all asteroids possible.
Eventually I find my self Just out of Earth's moon's orbit. I land on the moon and make my way towards the light side of the moon. I stop as I see a spaceship, rover and flag along with a couple footsteps nearby. Aside from that the moon was just a bunch of craters. "Looks like I wasn't the only one up here." I said. "I wonder what they'll think when they see my footsteps next time they're here."
I then kept walking towards the light side of the moon to get a glimpse of Earth. As I entered the extreme heat I decided I probably should change my form to that of a human, after I get away from the searing heat that is. I look towards earth and see a wonderful blue planet, with water and land. Perfect for life. I set my sights on a large lake, somewhere near the middle. Off I went. I crashed into the large lake a while later, still hot from all the friction of entering the atmosphere I crashed with an eruption of water and steam that probably sent massive waves to the edges of the lake. As the water subsides, I shift myself to invisibility and intangibility. In order to find out what the local inhabitants look like and not scare the crap out of them.
I look around and the only thing I see nearby are large triangular pyramids with four sides. "Hmm, this is a strange planet." I then hover off to the nearest city/town to see if I can find any people.

While searching for crystals, Varsade falls into a Nonja base.
Nonjas are mining for crystals. Varsade finds a chest containing Power Picks.
"Need some help there?", asks Varsade, pushing aside the Nonja.
I activate alarms by killing a Nonja, causing rocket turrets to activate. I dodge the rockets using extreme athleticism, knocking out 3 nonjas with rockets. At the end of the tunnel, I fly up to the next level.
"Party's over", Varsade yelled evilly. "This is my base now, and you do as I say."
I arrive at a small settlement without issue. I did get a couple gasps as sudden twilight dawned at around mid-day.
I eventually floated around till I found the graveyard. The reason I could tell was because of all the astral energy from ghosts there and the residue of ghosts who left for the astral plane. I arrived without hitch, for even they couldn't see me unless I was visible. I projected myself unto the Astral plane and found a large multitude of ghosts there as well. Looks like a lot of people have been buried here. I then go around absorbing the most elderly looking souls in order to gain some knowledge of the language, people and culture of this planet. I did make a couple mistakes in that I discovered about this land, centuries before now, but eventually I got it right. I then stopped projecting myself on the Astral Plane.
I shifted myself into a newly made human form and using the memories of the souls absorbed both at the cemetery and the Astral Plane's tie to the cemetery. When I was done I made myself visible and tangible and floated down to the ground. Where I stood was now a tall muscular human with tan skin, pitch black hair, piercing violet eyes and an extensive knowledge of the history of eygpt and beyond as well as being fluent in a couple of languages of those souls who were smart enough to learn them.
Off to find what was making all that racket back at those pyramids. (built by locals from ages past I now know)

*Matthew watched two of the ships crash together into a majestic fireball, and then he noticed the third speedy ship headed straight at him. He-who-never-identified-himself filled a grenade shell with gunpowder and gave it to Matthew. He took the grenade, made a large quantity of them, and let the as-of-yet-unnamed-one take from the pile. He missed with most of his throws, but Matthew got to see as the unnamed one managed to critically hit the ship and make another fireball. A wave of heat and ash rushed over them, indicating just how closely they missed death.
Then he heard the voice.
That voice, it sounded so familiar. Where did he hear that voice before? Was the voice from a time before this, or perhaps from a forgotten dream? He began daydreaming vividly, standing in some dark torture observation room somewhere next to himself, complimenting himself to his side on a job well done, as he watched himself inside the torture room torture himself. It was all a very odd experience. His view in his dream started zooming out, showing indefinite copies of himself just moving around several layers of dark facility, eating ramen and learning how to torture and maintaining torture equipment.
He came back down to reality as he heard David shout. He needed decoys to distract the ships that had caught up. How did those ships catch up if they had the same top speed as this one and this one was ahead of them? Look at him still thinking when there're decoys to make.*
"Wait, you wanted decoys? I couldn't give the decoys crews, and I haven't tried making many really massive things like this boat, but I sure can give it a try."
*Matthew imagined having two more of this boat, minus the crew, and two ships identical to this one - and as a matter of fact, identical to the ones surrounding this one - appeared.*
Raegus: You duplicate things? Why not duplicate a flame into each of their tanks, blowing them up? Maybe add a bit more fuel to make a bigger explosion. *throws more grenades at ships* *throws gunpowder grenades at ships*
Post by Fringe Pioneer on Feb 5, 2012 18:28:34 GMT
*He continued shouting over the cacophony of exploding grenades and enemy gunfire.*
"I haven't tried duplicating energy. I'm not even entirely sure what it means to duplicate energy! I could try abusing the amount of - oh, duh. I've got an idea."
*Matthew, suddenly realizing how stupid he was this whole time, decreased the fuel in all the enemy ships to less than 5% of full capacity. That should slow down the ships, if not stop them entirely, and give David more time to evade them successfully. Also realizing that their continuous evasion might have been fuel-greedy, Matthew topped off their ship's tank so that it wouldn't run out of fuel so soon.*
"Ok, they should find themselves running dry on fuel now, and I also took the liberty of refilling our fuel. I really wish I would have thought of that earlier, but it's like the aphorism: better late than never. Let's just hope we haven't gotten in range of the battleship."
The ships start to stop. They all run out of fuel. The battleship is still pretty distant, so your range doesn't affect it, but it is too slow anyway to be a worry. You do still have an armored boat (if a stranded one) to pass, and their guns work just fine.
Johnathan was still on the ground, clutching his arm. His eyes are closed, and it's hard to tell since his mouth is closed but it looks like he's clenching his teeth. A constant quiet "Rrrrrggg...." sounds is escaping him, and his blood is leaving him at too far fast a rate to be good.
Post by Fringe Pioneer on Feb 5, 2012 19:02:14 GMT
"David, I'm pretty sure you already knew, but it might be best if we headed directly away from both this last ship and the battleship. Everyone, it looks like the armored ship is a slightly different design than this one, so I can't just add armor from it to our ship, and I haven't reduced anything to 0 before. We just have to make sure we don't let our ship get torn up, and we should be good. I'm going to check on Johnathan. If you need me, just hollar."
*Matthew went down into the cab to check on Johnathan. He saw that Johnathan was bleeding profusely, so he grabbed a fresh towel from the little kitchen-like part of the cab (how else would its owners have eaten ramen during trips to sea?), wrapped it around Johnathan's wound, observed his blood, and then increased the blood supply in Johnathan by about as much blood as Johnathan had lost. He then increased the amount of skin around the wound, effectively healing Johnathan, however crudely, and removed the towel.*
"Ok, you'll still probably be in quite a bit of pain, but if all went well, you have more of your own blood and you should be good to go soon enough. I recommend that you don't go up just quite yet, what not with the bullets flying around and the armored ship."
OOC: I will reach Main Nonja Headquarters in 4 posts.
IC: A Nonja signal tower caused my plane to crash. As a result, I begin slicing the Nonja signal tower as revenge. Estimated time to destruction: 3 posts
David performs another tailspin 180 on request from the unnamed man and thanks to common sense. He then pins the throttle and puts in on autopilot going directly forward. He leans back in his chair and yells for everyone to come up to the bridge.
Congrats on a successful escape. Now you have a tricky situation: You're still in the Galapagos, and that boat is designed for relatively short trips. It couldn't make it to the mainland normally, but you have superpowers. That is, of course, assuming you even want to go there.

"Alright everyone, good job. It seems that we finally got away from whoever those people are, but where do we go from here? As a matter of fact, I should probably ask where is here, but I presume you all already know?
Well, no matter for now. So, with nothing going on now, what is your name, you-who-has-not-introduced-himself? Apparently, you can defenestrate, quite literally. Johnathan and David, what can you guys do?"

The signal tower is taken down. Satisfied, Varsade continues walking on the roof of the building, until Nonja guards surround him. I am now fighting them off with my weapons.
Unfortunately, due to being crashed in the Galapagos, the ship's dimensional shield broke, and instead of a dimensional shield being made, a dimensional flux was made, so Varsade is not actually walking on a base roof. Estimated time to escape and return to Nonja base: 20 posts
"Johnathan's down in the ship, healing. I told him that he ought to stay down while all the bullets were still flying around, but since we're out of range for now, I guess I need to tell him it's safe. Anyway, I tried crudely healing him, but I honestly have no idea whether I actually helped or hurt. I guess we'll find out."
