I knew somebody would have enough interest to pick it up. Now for making actual ciphers and what not...
It reality, we should have switched form chatango ages ago, but we have grown too attached to do so. Again All we can do is sit and wait.

Yeah, maybe you can get a response, cause they do have theirs working. They would give nothing to me.

Double post for the sake of an update. Talked to Paw, he both has the fix and has been forbidden to distribute it. Apparently whomever fixed it gave it to a few people then removed it and forbade distribution for some reason. Kind of a jerkish move, but no way to return that. Apparently it's just a minor update, so I think we can do it.

I've got a question. Isn't TheHolder technically Sorch on chatango (and botplayzone)?

Yeah, I think so. Sorch gave Paw the update then refused to give it to anyone else or let Paw distribute it for some idiotic reason.

There's only 1 minor change on the py.ch, PM Girq if you have any questions...I'm gathering up amount of people to see if we can fix this, as soon as we do we will be able to distribute the updated ch.py

Yeah, Mod's almost done, just needs Draxor's help. He's gonna stick up a new github thing for it, if Sorch wants to drop his.

Sorch deleted the ch.py library around the time the chatango update was released, perhaps 2 days before, so I don't think there will be any problems with that.

Yeah, that's why we need a new hub. I have a copy of ch.py and the example bot, so I can give those to Mod.

Hey Qwertyuiop anything new regarding the fix?

Yes, the fix is released. It's linked to on the first post. Nullspeaker AKA Hashbot fixed it up for everyone and, unlike the others, actually released it.

i believe there is a standing agreement to no longer distribute the updated ch.py in order to curb the small nuisance bot owners.

Agreement amongst whom? Small bot owners are how big bot owners come around. Ch.py was and is open source, and Speaker may distribute it however much he wants. Bot-making isn't some little circlejerk club that nobody else is allowed to get into. Anyone can try.

i believe there is a standing agreement to no longer distribute the updated ch.py in order to curb the small nuisance bot owners. Well, we filter the people who can host bots by with the bot itself. The library was open source and is open source. If it weren't for the library. None of these bots would be here. Having a library does not equate to having a bot. It merely gives the potential for the bot.

Besides, that "standing agreement" was between Sorch and people he gave it to. Doesn't extend to us any more than his version of the updated ch.py was extended to us.

TL;DR: Anyone can have the library. Don't help the people just want to 'haz teh c0dez' because they're the ones you don't like. They're the ones who write incredibly shitty and annoying bots. Always make sure they can pass a fizzbuzz test first. Also, that's why I want to move EVERYTHING to IRC and leave chatango. Chatango's bans and everything else is incredibly shitty. I was at a point where I could evade every ban you could throw at me. IRC doesn't have that problems. And GeneralVeers' issue with impersonation is easily resolved with registering with nickserv and/or keepalive clients. TL;DR to the TL;DR: Fuck bitches and smoke weed erryday. Write good code, keep it free, but don't just hand idiots some experimental I-wrote-this-in-20-seconds code that they'll just end up slapping in about 3000 while(true){} blocks that'll spam everything. And FμCK CHATANGO.

Also, there's a nice framework on GitHub called Psyfrbot by a particular "Nullspeaker" that may be of help to anyone writing a bot. >_> <_< >_>

actually isnt example a bot ?

Example's a simple bot, yes, but not with any useful functions. They'd still have to know python to modify it to be of any use.

I kinda understand it because I know Python... I've made another bot again!
