I said you could lead someone there if they were open-minded. You weren't open-minded when I explained it, and you wouldn't stop talking (You really wanted to share your point, which was a bit off the beaten path, but whatever). Everything I said was the same as in the video. And no, it isn't perfectly explainable. But you can do a better job than I did, without a doubt. But at the end of the day, you have to get it in order to "get it". You have to figure it out for yourself, as it isn't a concrete noun. It's rather abstract.

Consciousness for the purposes of society (determining what is sapient and what isn't) is the ability to express to another you are sapient, and make a reasonable attempt to justify it with your own arguments.

Awareness of existence.
Vido ergo est.
(I see thus it is)

I can't remember if I've already posted or not on this thread but oh well. Personally, I think that consciousness is just a by-product of the brain working. I don't think that there is a soul, or a god. Consciousness is a physical phenomenon imo. Maybe our consciousness is just our interpretation of each sense (if that makes sense)

Yeah, that's pretty much my view of it. There's no need to introduce unnecessary metaphysics to explain it.
