Today, April 1st, marks the beginning of chaos week. Chaos week marks the anniversary of a great number of events here on the forum. April 1st was the day TheListo redirected the forum to another, stating that Proboards was going to delete it.
In the process a moderator decided to have fun and sent almost all of the old threads to the trash bin. Fortunately, the problem was all fixed and straightened out, but shortly afterward an example of rebel scum named Greenptato arrived, gained access to QwertyuiopThePie's account, and deleted the accounts of all of the staff members except for TheListo with the light side of the force. Molopoy later took credit for the event, causing the usage of his name to change to an insult. No doubt many of you recall this.
The forum also has a track record of other chaotic events on this date, although they escape my memory at this time...

Some other things were the forum redirect TheListo put up that was against the ToS and the demotion of all staff and the following promotion of staff to different ranks than they had.

He redirected the page to "danballforums.proboards.com/nothing". That was when it grew obvious, if a forum is deleted you get a "cannot load form" message, not a 404.

He also redirected to one of the various failed forums he made.

Yes, I personally thought that the "Forum Owner" custom title and the "Administrator" rank were big giveaways. Apparently not.
I also fear that, even if the real singer signed in as herself, assuming I never started this custom of becoming her, the forum still wouldn't become very popular. First of all, I'm not sure that Bedingfield is popular enough that rational fans would follow her here. Second of all, I'm not sure any fans that do come here would do anything other than make accounts and never post...

Isn't that how the old forums were? With some 1200 users, but only a small fraction active? I know that's how we still are, today.

That's how ALL forums are. One of the rules of existence as a forum is that the number of active members is the tip of the iceberg on the number of members.

Of course, we could always break the rule by deleting unused accounts, but then we would not look as appealing because we have a smaller number. As such, the rule binds us after all...

Plus that would be unfair. Plenty of people return eventually and there is no reason to do so. I left the FSGF because they did that somewhat, I'd hate to do the same here.

To the extent of my knowledge, no one who never posted before ever returned...

Nonsense, there's been several cases of lurkers later becoming active. I've seen them. I was almost one myself, on the FSGF. It isn't worth the risk or the effort.

Holy Mother of God.
I decided to just check out the old forum... (even though it was deleted)
And... it was alive... IT'S ALIVE AND NO LONGER DELETED!
(Lag still being Site Owner and all the post counts as they were before!)
It's amazing!
(Oh and staff all the staff threads are open to the public...)
I'm finding so many things... of the past...
In fact, I'm going to make a new thread dedicated to this.
