Any and all graphic artists, please read this. We currently need images for three badges: "Gamer", "Member", and "Original Forum". Be creative, but try to make them look like the ones in my signature. The ones we use will become official badges, and the creator will earn 100 dan-balls (price may change with demand).

Original Forum? If I understand correctly, isn't that similar to the Veteran badge? Or what is it?

It just means that someone was a part of the original forum. It's not the same as the veteran badge.

Hmmm... How'd you get the Member badge? Would it be the easiest badge to obtain? I'm going to try and work on the badges.
I'm going to do the Original Member Badge

You get the member badge for joining the forums. Just a little something to get new members interested in badges.

Oh, in that case I'll make the member badge. Simple Basic. Should be Easy.

I like it, but maybe you should add a lighting effect to make it look more 3D
Like I did with the member badge.

Yep.... although at the moment it doesn't really show it but in a couple of years then it will show it...

My personal opinion?
Memzak's "Member" badge is nice and simple, and has a similar scheme to the forum color scheme.
Memzak's "Original Member" badge is too "busy": the animated frieze design and the two-line text and the background swirling are too much for the tiny space.
Zaixionito's first "Gamer" badge is nice and dark, but the word is nearly illegible on top of the bright light. The "space adventure" theme is nice, but the font is different than the one used on Swearingworth's original badges, ergo making the badge seem out of place.
Zaixionito's second "Gamer" badge is easier to read and has a "space adventure" theme similar to the first "Gamer" badge, but it seems to lack depth. This badge also has a different font than Swearingworth's original badges, ergo making the badge seem out of place.
RabidBadger's "Gamer" badge is nice and simple, and its similarity to a lottery ball is clever. As with Zaixionito's badges, the font used is different from the one on Swearingworth's original badges and would ergo seem out of place.
Many of the badges seem larger than the approximate 40 pixel diameter badges and would be out of place.

Fixed the first one's being too bright, at the cost of some depth. All of my badges at least are at exactly 40 pixels. 1. (Make background less bright) 3. (Added) I am of the opinion that the badges should use white text as the first ones did. Is this correct? I am also using Hubble images, since I am too lazy to find copyright free ones.

Here's one I created. It's the Member Badge. It shows a copyright symbol with a cross through it. I know, it's not good, I was using the grid feature of Paint. Attachments:

I like Memzak's Member badge the best of all of these. Basically I agree with General Veers. zaixionito: If you could make the first gamer one smaller, then it would probably fit in. lol, the font is, I believe, one that...(Oh God I forgot his name...) made up himself. (SRSLY, WHAT WAS HIS NAME!?!?!?) It started with an S... sparkpowder: Try downloading GIMP. Then the work practically flows. I'll try my hand at an original forum badge. Only one "hard spot" I personally have an issue with. What should the original forum badge say on it? Original Forum doesn't make much sense and might be too long... Even the first response to this thread was asking what it was. It sounds almost like the badge wearer has their own "original forum." Just curious. That's all. Less talk. More work. EDIT: OK, So I've made a sort of template for the badge and have ideas for the background. So I thought up some alternate words, if you like. Original Member Forum Original [something] Member For now I'll just use Original Member. Totally Unrelated:I still can't remember the guy's name. TheListo used to call him "onetonsworthy" or something like that... ShadowLord would remember. Dang it... I liked him a lot... WHAT WAS HIS NAME!? EDIT 2:Okay, how does this look?

Buggy, the font is a little illegible personally. And the outer color of the font should be black, no? Otherwise it's neat.

Alright, to get this straight... The gamer badge is the SAME SIZE as all the others, 40x40 pixels... Maybe 'tis because of it's words be inside the round sphere of doom, but it's the same size as all the others. There, /rant. Guys name? Wiki says it might be "SwearingWorth"... That it? Finally, that looks great! I still like ~Memzak~'s badge, since it has all the... Stuff... The borders... Lighting effect... But, yours has the fighter, which is awesome.

www.dafont.com/search.php?psize=m&q=bit+trip+7make sure to add an extra space between each letter and a dark grey - black outline. It would also help to just touch up the letters to not make them so crisp looking like they are in the font.

BTW, the circles aren't 40 x 40. the file is though. just use the old ones as a template. The are slightly ovular. A bit more wide than tall. Kso, try to make them a little less fail too. Buggy's is probably the best one on this thread. BTW double post cause guests cant edit merge them if you want

OH DAMN, I was ninja'd.
I was going to say his name. I used to call him swearingwoth though. He got a bit mad back then.... XD
Either way, I like buggy's badge, but most of our badge's writing doesn't make too much sense.
Like the "spam" badge.
I vote that we make the original member badge only one word. The word "original".
Seems to make sense to me. If I decide to, I'll give a shot at an original badge and a gamer badge.... That's only IF though...

YonderI'm all ears. Er... eyes. Personally, I was thinking that it was pretty legible, but I messed with it a bit anyways. Black some places... eh, whatever. Here, look. Yeah. I think it's better. @gdubz Well, the image is 40x40, but the actual badge is about 30x30 Lol Thanks to everyone who said Swearingworth, but M4 already beat you guys to it. EDIT: You know, that R is problematic. Must... Fix... EDIT 2: Alright. This should be good.

Hmm... So Qwerty's alter-ego is called Asdfghjkl? Interesting concept. It's a shame we don't have Swearingworth any more. I'll have to suggest a Swearingworth celebration day... XD
