The wide chat is the only thing I like about the new skin.

Love the new themes, but the extremely wide chat should be shrinked a little bit, don't you think? Well it just mirrors the width of the forum so that they match, and it wouldn't work very well any other way. I guess you could always use the full chat if it bothers you Nah, i'll get used to it later, keep up the good work bro.

Well, although I like the idea of having the new colors, and the color schemes are nice, I absolutely hate the new layout. I'm sorry, but I do. And, on the 'Dan-Ball' and the 'Classic' color scheme, which I use because it is most like the old forum, I cannot see any post counts, amounts of karma, and more often than not, the exalt/smite buttons are not present. EDIT: In fact, I cannot see them on any of the color schemes. It appears you are the only person with this problem.

That is what I call a crappy browser.

Firefox, Opera, Safari. All of those are nice.

I must say, you have outdone yourself on this occasion, GGoodie, and I commend you for that. Your constant work is revered by myself as the evolution of a constantly changing forum. Furthermore, I am most pleased with the layout as well as skin choices. The width makes the forum feel much more roomier and spacious.
I feel that the only problem I see so far is the grey background for the main skin. It just seems... out of place.

That's the DB background.

uuhhh... maybe you should put an option to change it back to the old one, i also prefer the old one.
i do prefer the old lay out and colours.

I notice you haven't changed your skin yet to one of the other color schemes. Learn how to change your color scheme from Dan-Ball to something like Classic, which has the same colors as the old skin, or Cobalt, which is mostly blue and grey, or Atlantic Coast, which has colors reminiscent of a beach, or any of the other available skins. I suggest you try them all...

Yeah, dan-ball is a horrible color scheme.

ARG! I don't log in for a couple days and then come back to this!
My eyes... THEY BURN!
*changes it via the menu in my profile*
Ahh much better.
Oh drat, looks like you broke my stars and header for the MA. Could someone modify the header to the MA to not include that whole JS image mechanism and just have a plaintext link? Also, could someone replace my stars with the default ones?
I like the new theme... sorta. I like how it is customisable, but I'm not too fond of the layout. (Or maybe I just have to get used to it for a bit)
EDIT:
Yes they are from my high school boarding house dorm. They are disrespectful trolls who created that account for the sole reason of annoying me not only in real life but also online.

So that explains why they post in the wrong thread when asked not to do so.
Anyhow, Dan-Ball can be a pretty eye-burning color scheme, no matter what layout you choose. It's a miracle we don't find ourselves complaining about Dan-Balls design, but then the applets are distracting like that...

Gah. Can v2 be an option? I'm not going to change my browser because of this forum.

According to GGoodie, it won't work for some unspecified reason.

Mach, if you're still using IE you should have changed your browser long ago and for far more reasons than this one. Not too long ago the forum had no IE support whatsoever: It would not work on Internet Explorer.

I guess I'm going to have to incessantly have to askhow many danballs I have then. 'twouldn't be much of pain to put v2 back in, and I think it would work. Worked when it was there/

Worked when it was there/ It would be even easier for you to just get a better browser. Google chrome takes almost no time to download and install. Also, all the info that is in your miniprofile is also in your main profile.

Seriously, just get a new browser. We aren't downgrading the forum just cause you won't upgrade your browser.

It's not downgrading if so many people like it better! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can't ignore us.

Fine, then we aren't completely revamping the forum when you can just upgrade your browser. Better wording for ya?

I hate IE as much as the next guy, but you know, IE has actually become pretty compatible. It's only stuff without real standards like AJAX where it gets iffy, but still cross-compatible if you write your codes right. So as much as IE sucks client-side, it's still just the developers being lazy if it doesn't work at all on IE (regardless of how slow it'd be).

The only thing about the skin that doesn't work in IE is that IE screws with relative positioning in the miniprofile (It doesn't dispay the info at all, yet creates the vertical space as if it was there). I honestly have no idea why it does it, and when I was testing the skin it would only do it some of the time and would even fix itself when I clicked on the page.

Worked when it was there/ Actually, it would be a MASSIVE pain to put that skin back in. First of all, it uses a wildly different layout than this one, and thanks to Proboard's rigid layout, that requires a large amount of Javascript. Then we need even more Javascript to tell the specific codes to only activate when the single skin is activated. Needless to say, it is much more work than its worth when we may not even be using proboards for much longer.

V1 and V2 both used a lot of JS forum codes to resize and put the images in the appropriate place. This one just has a lot of different colored images and color schemes for different skins.

Guys, it means something when over half of your forum is dissatisfied with a change, and even if we don't have a majority, just under half is troubling too.

It also means something if you have no idea how blasting hard it is to implement bad, messy jumbled code. I refuse to do so. My requirements as set forth in the "Now That You Have Seen This, Too" thread must be met, and the old skin fails too many of those requirements.

Can't it be recoded in a way that isn't so messy and jumbled?
