Dust is programmed through java. Shouldn't it be simple to just extract the jar file, then extract the class files? The *.class file is bytecode, which is NOT human readable, but is compiled and ready for "translation" (for lack of a better word) to native machine language by any computer. The *.java file is source, which IS human readable. As it is, it is meaningless to everything except carbon-based intelligent life forms and the Java Compiler (javac). When you create Java programs, you as a human use a text editor or specialized IDE to type up *.java programs in the same way you would type up *.txt files. You then go to the Command Prompt and have javac compile your source into bytecode. Since Java is portable, a *.class file can be read and executed on nearly any machine.

But is there no reverse javac command?
(suprisingly on my computer there is no javac command, even with JDK installed, which sucks for me :C)

Well, there might be a decompiler somewhere in the Web, but not included with the JDK. Use of a decompiler, although possibly intuitive, is outside the scope of my knowledge of Java.
Concerning your supposed lack of javac, you aren't able to use the command prompt to "cd" to the directory where you store your *.java files, and then type in "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_19\bin\javac JavaProgramHere.java" to compile some arbitrary uncompiled JavaProgramHere.java? Or, assuming that both the PATH and CLASSPATH variables are set properly, you aren't able to "cd" to the directory where you store your *.java files, and then type in "javac JavaProgramHere.java"?
Well, do you have both the JDK and JRE, or just the JRE? If indeed you do have the JDK, you should be able to use your GUI to navigate to the Java folder, then the jdk1.6.0_19 (or some similar 1.6.0_xx number) folder, and then the bin folder? Inside the bin folder would be an application called javac.

Well, we got an update. The developers haven't cast EE completely to the side.
