PG Tech Research Repository
Why am I making this? To categorically sort out and connect tech threads/pages from this forum, the backup and the wiki to make researching/learning about tech easier.
- "Something interesting involving metal checkerboard" - Looks at Thunder's behavior when falling through a pixel checkerboard. It falls faster and sometimes moves left, but never right.
- "interesting reaction: the truth of dormant laser" - A reaction involving Nitro, Soapy, and Laser.
- "Laser Technology - Basics, gates, memory..." - Discussion of Laser tech that began in 2008.
- "Laser Technology - Basics, gates, memory..." - The same discussion from late May 2010 onward.
- "Logic gates and other Electronic devices" - An early (2008) discussion about logic gates.
- "Ant - A complete study" - Discusses Ant.
- "Thunder to Laser and/or Rewritable Memory" - Two creations that perform the specified functions.
- "Thunder Memory 1-Bit Cell" - A unique memory cell that uses Nitro and Stone.
- "Extremely basic teleporter" - Documents a peculiar behavior of Ant, in which it "teleports".
- "Mercury Thunder Splitter" - Laser and Thunder splitting methods can be found here.
- "Vine to Powder converter/ Cloning metal, no clone" - 2 Reactions involving Bomb used to make Powder and Metal.
- "Controlling Unpredictable Elements (CUE)" - More or less a discussion on Ant, with a nice post on Air and Wind.
- "Uses for the metal "O"" - Uses for a Laser looping inside of an "O".
- "Broadband (Fiber Optics) Are they Possible in PG" - Mostly us asking for clarification, but there is a good, relevant code there, so I will leave it.
- "Thunder "weakener"" - As the name implies, a way to weaken Thunder current.
- "binary" - A small machine that demonstrates the workings of binary.
- "Laser to thunder converter" - Using Laser to impede the current in one of two opposing flows of Thunder, allowing one to overcome the other and exit.
- "Wierd thing(I wasn't the one to find it)" - Demonstrates a glitch in which fluids pouring down a 90 degree bend in a 1x1 tube quickly stop flowing.
- "Ultimate Signal Device" - Comparison of Superball and Laser as signal carriers.
- "Fireworks revealed" - Shows behavior of Fireworks when ignited underwater.
- "Ant element study" - A short study on Ant burrowing.
- "Minimal release slow water valve" - How to release a certain amount of fluid pixels from a reservoir.
- "New-style Clone (Neo Clone)" - Make Clone more reliable in an upload by putting an element inside of it beforehand.
- "Laser on-off with thunder?" - Methods for converting Laser <-> Thunder.
- "Charged laser cannon" - Mechanism that sustains a wheel-sized Laser for a short time, and reactivates when hit by another Laser beam.
- "thunder lines" - Shows every spot on screen where placed thunder will move in a straight line.
- "Landmine and Windmine" - Different types of mines.
- "INT-AND Gate" - Explains what an "If Not Then" gate is and references one made for Thunder. A laser one is posted on the thread.
- "Concentrated Laser" - A demonstration of how a beam of Laser can be concentrated with OR gates.
- "XOR Gate" - A search for the elusive exclusive OR (XOR) gate for Thunder that degrades into off-topic conversation. There are some good posts, though.
- "Strange Electricity Thing" Do *NOT* read past the first few sentences in the spoiler. The placement of pen-s 0 Thunder on speed 2 on the bottom of the wire (replicable by putting a Thunder Ball there) creates a strange effect in which the Thunder is able to go back on itself all the way to the beginning of the wire.
- Powder Game « Elements - A list linked to information on every single powder game element. Even steam.
- Powder Game « Technology - Another list linked to tech information ranging from land mines to logic gates.
