This is battle time gentlemen. You will either come in with your shields or come back on them (Ancient Gerek saying) This is the plan that will hopefully give us a direct way into fox's main base. First we have to take over the minor base in front of it (Which I'm sure it will fall easily) Then its party time. Second we need to gather our army together get all of our tech. development things that we have created, get them all ready for deployment, then attack at full force. I will get the icebreakers to plow through Antarctica and fire on the base, the sub navy will either follow the icebreakers or we come in with our missile ships, blast holes in the ice behind them and the sub-navy will appear behind them. The air force will flank the enemy along with the drones (Drones commanded by qwert and the air force as well as the navy will be controlled by me) While the air force is flanking with the drones me memzak and the rest of the major commanders and minor commanders will attack head on with the whole force of our army. So men, pick up your guns, grab your armor and equip your Shields. Tank commanders start your tanks, grab plenty of ammo and roll out to join the army. Pilots, start your planes' engines, jump into the cockpit, and take off (there will be a refueling plane in the air if you need any). Last but not least admirals, start your ships, deport, and load your guns. This is battle time march into battle!

For all information about attack plan and troop movements please check out our Master Attack ThreadInitially there'll be the assault by 20000 (2 Regiments) Cytronian Troops and all other Legions/Battalions who wish to join. Later on in the battle the second 20000 Cytronian Troops'll attack, giving us reinforcement. "It's time to get moving." I said through the communications in my Athena Armour. The thousands of Cytronians around me group together in groups of 12. They all begin to form Devastators and start their march to Gaia. It was decided that as Devastators they'll be able to move more quickly and reach our location in time. The location picked out was in a valley nearby Gaia. It was far out enough for us to be protected by the terrain from Phoenix technology. They hopefully won't know we're there until we attack.
The sight of thousands of Devastators charging through the snow was truly something to behold. "Pie, Fireball and others, we have begun our march to the specified location. Do you copy?" I said over the communications. If all goes to plan we should be there soon. The route had to be slightly longer than a direct route since we were trying to avoid the smaller Phoenix bases surrounding Gaia. We should be at the location soon.

Pie's a bit busy at the moment, something about "Eating the wrong Indian food". He'll be back later, though. In the meantime, Memzak can have control over the sub-navy (though the drones are a bit too complex and Pie didn't get a chance to reprogram them).

Seeing as this base is over land... being the antarctic and whatnot, the sub-navy won't be of much help at the moment.
The troops progress was coming along well. Soon enough we'll all be prepared for a full scale assault. Luckily all the current Cytronians had already went in for their 3.0 upgrade. The other bunch's delays were namely due to the fact that they were in other outposts and hadn't received the upgrade. The journey is about halfway over and we have managed to remain undetected by the nearby outposts. (Which is a feat itself) If everything continues to run this smoothly we'll be there very soon indeed.

Well that means Ill have to stop the icebreakers and the rest of the navy and stall the sub-navy.... not very good news, now we only have 3/5 forces intended attacking...
"Well since pie is out we'll need our other commanders..." I said over my communicator, looking at the valley I spot turrets at the stop of each side about 6 on each side... "I didn't think fox would let us pass that easily through the valley... and apparently I see the turrets pointing in our directi-" A shell blows up the ground on my right ride straight into one of the platoons, killing 2 Cytronians. "Fire at will, men, fire at will!"

Approaching the valley I noticed something in the distance. Movement. A second later all hell broke loose. Looks like the Phoenix Federation also knew this valley was their weak spot.
"Attack!" I said to all those within range. Instantly thousands of Devastators were decoupling back into their dozen individual Cytronians. Companies of Cytronians were already moving up and out in order to flank the defenders. The two Devastators nearest me didn't decouple and kept with me in battle. We headed out With those attacking from the East. Hoping that if we get them from both sides, the defenders will crumble.
'So much for a surprise attack.' I thought. Looks like we'll have to finish this up quickly and move on to Gaia before the amass too much of a defence.

Well ice mostly occupied the outer rim of it... just enought to get our ships in range of the valley...
"We need those lazer cannons NOW", I saw while taking rocket launcher and firing at the turrets "Dang it! They're sheild protected only the lazer cannons can pierce the sheilds! Airforce: Drop the prototype TACOS in M4's name! Troops: put on your visors so you can see whos friendly!"

OOC: Wonderful.
The newly uploaded visor software was instantly fed into the Cytronian network. 1tronfan's brilliant flying managed to make the perfect arc in order for the prototype TACO bomb to be dropped. The gas is instantly released and enemy behind lines being glowing green on everyone's visor.
"Looks like it worked." I said. "If only Pie were here to get into their systems before they realise what was going on.
As the dust and snow settled, we realised that all that was left was a heavily guarded ghost town. The TACO worked miracles and managed to get everyone inside of the small encampment. Unfortunately that small artillery base was the least of our worries, the central command probably knows we've arrived now. I quickly instructed numerous Cytronians to take the Phoenix soldiers captive and keep them subdued until the TACO effects wore off. (perhaps we can squeeze some information out of them when they do) I also ordered some to get into the large artillery instalment and try his best to learn it's controls. Looks like it was only a single instalment with multiple artillery turrets.
As we turned our scopes to the main base we could see a buzz of activity. Soon enough their airforce will be in the air and the dogfights'll begin. It was then the large gates opened and thousands and thousands of Phoenix Federation troops poured out, with multiple tanks mixed through their ranks.
"Looks like they know were are here. Airforce, get in the skies now and take out their fighter jets. Laser Cannons, fire at that gate. If we can make a sizeable hole, we can gain entry with a stealth team. All other ground forces, Charge!" I said over the communications to all. Many Cytronian duos switched to turret mode (which is good for longrange) and a few devastators left in the mix charged straight ahead. The rest of the Cytronians gathered their weapons and attacked.

The SR legion poured forth, the boxers pouring around infantry while the gladiators took out armored targets and the whppers did a bit of both. The snipers fired into the infantry, burying arrows in people, while the gunners fired high-caliber shots into the tanks. The angels carved swaths in the immediate enemy infantry, while the grenade throwers aided in destruction of groups. While this went on, Aleksandr grabbed his sword and faced up against a tank, leaping on and cutting apart the machine gun, then beginning to cut slashes into the tank.

The Cytronian forces kept pushing into enemy lines, killing many Phoenix Federation troops, but when one fell, two came to take it's place. Cytronian turrets were taking enemies out from the distance and the Laser Cannons were blasting away. Their Phoenix tanks lacked anywhere near the firepower of our laser cannons, but what they lacked in power they made up in number. While we have only two laser cannons their ground forces were made up of at least fifty Phoenix controlled tanks.
"We need to get an elite stealth team to penetrate the base, find their command centre and take it down." I said over the communications to all high ranking commanders. As I was speaking a number of jets flew overhead into the battle. Looks like our airforce has arrived and the aerial battles have begun. Even our MH0-Helicopters were assisting by firing rounds into their infantry from above. It was then that Gaia's wall shifted. What looked like solid concrete and metal was actually on a giant hinge. When it spun a half revolution their true defensive powers were revealed.
What I saw was grim for us indeed. It was a multi-staged laser cannon with numerous large calibre turrets surrounding it all housed in thick armour plating. The lasers they fired were at least my height, if not more, in diameter. "Take cover!" I said to nearby troops as they started firing massive beams of light.
"Send a Blizzard our way intersperse seeds Alpha Omega." I said to the weather watchers back at a West Outpost C. It wasn't just for habitat improvement that we researched weather technology as well as genetically enhanced seeds that'll quickly grow into large trees who's roots crush concrete and flowers emit noxious fumes. (OOC See early pages of Tech Research for more details on Weather and Seeds) We shall take cover from the blizzard (when it arrives) in the valley. Hopefully the blizzard'll cause damage to some of their infastructure.

And tronfan... I don't wanna 'bust your bubble' sort of speak but I'm the commander of the airforce... you cannot make them 'take to the skies' without my permission, you can do that later when you rank up.... Well just pretend I said that
"Memzak we need to make our troops hold their ground and keep the enemy at bay. Tronfan take control of your plane and help out with the dogfights. Ill call in the big guns on the navy to suppress." I say while looking at the gate. "Ok, since the TACOS worked wonders no the first batch of groups why dont we drop a lot on the troops advancing twords us?"

sorry fireball9903.
Anyway, we need the ADEN cannon to defeat these type of planes. Lands in depot bay and fits the plane with the ADEN cannon.

Pie comes in on the central command comms for a brief moment.
Pie: Remember the ground drones! If we can manually break into their targeting computers their own turrets will be turned against them.

With that bit of information I reconsidered our break-in team's strategy. We would break in and try to assume control of their defences first. Full frontal assault would be required to sneak us in and the perfect timing for that would be just after the blizzard hits.
"Common guys, we just need to hold out for a bit longer." I said. It was then I got news about our newly built MBT1s. Looks like we'll have 10 tanks coming in with our reinforcements soon.
I headshot a Phoenix troop and seriously injure the one behind him. Things on the ground were going well, despite our statistical disadvantage. The real problem was those turrets. The sooner the blizzard can come, the better.

"I think if we could get up to where the turrets are We'd be a advantage aginst Fox's troops.... but we'd have to get in, use the guns aginst Fox and when the blizzard comes in we'd have to get out as soon as possible..."
I get a rocket launcher and start blowing up some group of fox's troops I see the tanks approcahing and the lazer cannon commander shout "FIRE" and beam of light rushes over the troops and goes straight through 2 tanks and blows up a group of enemy troops.

"The only problem with that idea is that their defences are not only gargantuan but impenetrable from the outside." I said over the communications as the other Laser cannon blasted a beam of light straight into their defensive laser-turret combination without leaving as much as a scratch.
"Our best option would be to keep our forces out of the base at the moment, because if we get anywhere near those defences we will have heavy losses. (which is why we should wait for the most opportune time to do so) I think the best time for a full frontal assault would be as soon as the blizzard passes. Our forces will just need to stay out of range for now and hold out until the blizzard arrives." I said. It seemed like the wind was beginning to pick up. The Blizzard was getting closer.

OOC: I'm not exactly a fan of you taking over the countdown meter... I was hoping for some RP before the blizzard hits... I guess not. Also, please let the blizzard actually hitting be my post. You can take care some of the taking coers.
"All troops take cover, move, move, move!" I said over the communications as my helmet detected the beginnings of the blizzard in the distance.
Cytronians, members of the SR legion and all others withdrew from battle. There was a flurry of activity as we all took cover.

Umm sorry about that won't happen again just trying to help you out...
"No-one left behind!!" I shout as I help wounded men take cover, When I do finally get back to the cover area you can see the blizzard head come over the horrizon. I look at the direciton the blizzard is going and I see fox's army setting up trenches, nothing to protect aginst a blizzard, in case we attack them again.

OOC: No problem. I knew you had good intentions.
The blizzard hit with devastating force. The fox troops who were outside felt it first. Many of their trenches were filled with snow and troops were buried alive. The troops closer to the entrance of the base began to flee for cover, but even as they ran, the entrance to the base was closing in order to protect the inhabitants inside. The doors only just closed in time. All the interior of the base would have received would have been a strong gust and a lot of snow. Their defence-laser-turrets also span around in order to protect from the blizzard. The base was once again an impenetrable dome. The good news was that anyone caught outside was most likely buried in snow, frozen or bashed against the exterior of the base. Once the winds began to die down I ordered the troops out for a full frontal assault.
"Charge!" I said. If we could attack the base as the doors and defensive-laser-turrets were opening and activating then we might stand a fighting chance of getting some inside the base. We'll suffer heavy losses and need to retreat soon after, but if we can get some on the inside we'd do well. All the troops charged and we were within shooting distance of the base when it started opening up again.
"Let's do this." I said to all commanders over the communications.

"No, lets not do this, lets WIN this." I said as I tell a lazer cannon commander to take out the turrets, then focus on the troops.
He says back, "Yes sir!" I look at one of the turrets as an explosion behind me throws me up 5 feet into the air and I land back on the ground, with the peices of shelling burried into my suit.

We attacked with our full force. Everyone able bodied was in the attack. We launched a couple prototype TACOs into the crowd, expecting brilliant results, but got the exact opposite. Looks like the these prototypes didn't mix the gasses correctly and wasn't potent enough. The good news is that when reinforcements come, the newly completed non-prototype models will arrive too.
"Alpha on me!" I said to a devastator nearby. It opened up and gave enough room for a single person to hop inside. I jumped in and laid down in order to fit. We then ran to the front of the attacking forces, along with two other Devastators and ran through the newly opened entrance. As phoenix troops poured out, the Devastator to the left of me was taken out by a couple tank shots and had to separate back into 11 Cytronians, seeing as one was fatally wounded. My Devastator and the other one, split up as soon as we entered and both went in opposite directions. We needed to get deep into the phoenix base without them knowing. Once my Devastator found a suitable empty warehouse, we separated into 12 Cytronians and I hopped out. Now it was time for recon.
I also got a signal from an encrypted line saying fireball was injured. "Rush him to safety now, Team Alpha and Theta have made it inside. Beta was destroyed. We are still awaiting team Gamma and Zeta." I said over the encrypted line. The battle just needs to last a little bit longer for the next two teams to make it inside, then we can retreat and recover from our heavy losses. Hopefully if we can hack the denseness to work on our side, we might have a big enough advantage to storm the interior of the base.

I wake up inside the warehouse with Memzak learning over the side, "Did we win?" Is the first thing I ask.
He replies, "No, not yet the battle just needs to alst until we can get the other two teams inside."
I get up and look around when I notice the pain in my back, "Ahh!, Why does my back hurt so much?!"
The Cytronian beside me said, "You got throw up into the air when an shell went off behind you, peices of the shell buried into your suit, it protected most but some got through and peirced your skin."
I replied, "Oh, then this pain shouldn't last long, when I'm better should I go back into battle Memzak?"

OOC: The how could both of you get inside of the phoenix base? It's basically a dome of solid concrete and metal. The only ways in and out being the entrances they open. I'm not sure how a plane crash and an explosion launching somebody into the air could get somebody into the bases... I'll overcome this discontinuity by making it seem that both of you had severe head trauma and assumed a medic to be me. If you want to join me in the recon mission, you can be aboard one of the next to devastators.
I get news that one of the next devastators made it it, I'm not sure who was on it yet, but I'll get more info about who is in recon later into the mission. We only need to hold out for one more devastator to enter... I hope he makes it.
