I have a year to go, but I've been contemplating laser eye surgery.
My eyesight leaves much to be desired. I'm not legally blind, but I'm required to wear glasses to see, and without glasses, my eyes get constantly exhausted and out of focus.
It's a real pain. I was looking at some of Neon's old photos and I noticed how much clarity there was. I know real eyesight might not replicate filters or exposure, but what do you think the improvement in eyesight would feel like?
It would be like I had water in my eyes this entire time and I finally got it cleaned. It'd be a smudge on my glasses that I scrubbed away. I'm actually really excited about the surgery, and can't wait till I save up a small fortune to pay for the damn thing.

Honestly, if your vision is bad enough to require glasses, you should go for it. Insurance should cover most anyway. My left eye's 20/20 (or near enough to make no difference), but my right eye is just terrible, and if I had to make do with just it... I'd probably do the same. Glasses only help so much.

I actually like glasses as far as fashion goes, so I'd probably get glasses just to look cool, because I'm a tool. That being said, I like to treat the disease, not the symptoms so to speak. Glasses are like cold medication, they just bring down the fever but you're still sick. Once I take them off, I'm blind as a bat again. They also don't give me THAT much clarity, only enough to make it through the day. The next pair of glasses I get I'll lie so he'll give me strong enough glasses to make things beautiful. I'm tired of being the one guy that has to move to the front of the class to copy something down.

Yeah, that's a fair point. Honestly, I have a set of glasses I'm supposed to be wearing, but due to my functional left eye I usually just... don't. The main benefit is really that they turn dark when exposed to sunlight.

My right eye is functional, my left is not. My left eye is only capable of reading the top four rows on the Snellen Eye Chart. My right is capable of making it twice as far. I don't wear my glasses in public because they're scratched, broken, and unfashionable. I only carry them in my car in case I get pulled over my a police officer.

I'm okay with wearing my glasses. Yeah, they're scratched, but they don't look half bad, and they're the fancy transition ones.
That said, ever since I stopped having to wear them in the car, I've sort of stopped using them. It was total BS what I did to not have to wear them, too. I managed to 'cheat' on the DMV eye exam, but honestly I think the examiner wanted me to anyway.

You will also be legally required to grow a mustache at that point.
