My question is, how is the water surviving temperatures that low, and how the heck did the temperatures get that low in the first place? I know it was explained at some point, but I certainly can't think as to how.
Also... Nanobot pile? They're spread over all of Antartica. Good luck with that.

They were destroyed from the center with the bombs. The nanobots came with the new backup. And they helped rebuild it.
I explained it nicely.
Also we were using the basic properties of Tesla Energy to produce and maintain low tmeperatures. Not the mention the androids run on Thermal Energy.

Oh, just from the middle. That works.
As to Tesla Energy, it can heat water to an extent, sure, but it certainly won't make it THAT cold. If TSL could have an artic facility that can freeze Tesla water, no doubt it would be the same in Antartica. It wouldn't be frozen, but it wouldn't be at freezing temperatures, either.
Tesla Energy = heat. It does not drain it.

I am using it differently than TSL
Not to mention tesla energy isn't the only thing at work here.

You can't use it "differently" from TSL. It's the same substance. If I used nukes "differently" from others, that wouldn't magically make it cold.

Differentely as in less amounts. And in different conditions to begin with.

If I use less uranium in a nuke, and put it under different conditions, does it make it cold when detonated?

Post by clockwork on Dec 11, 2010 0:32:57 GMT
Depends on the conditions [/end whine here]
Horrgian : Alright Viros e^1, I have finished the area. Your nanobots are unglued in a compartment to the east. You have full connections to all security save weapons on the outside. The base goes beneath the islands surface and underground a ways. You may find that the walls are metal plated but it slowly gets warmer as you continue down. Eventually to temperatures above 100 F. You can use this area for research purposes.

This isn't a whine, this is declaring what you are doing against the game's laws of physics. Find a different way to keep that part of Antartica frozen.
[name] contacts VIROS e^1. He's wondering what's happened and how his AI has returned.

Sorry, he won't tell you.
Also TSL is letting me do the tesla climating thing. Stop trying to control my fun. What does it matter anyways? It happened. We can't revert that far. It's not life changing or anything.
Post by Qwerty on Dec 11, 2010 3:26:17 GMT
We don't have to revert, just work out something to make the laws of phyiscs fit together. Your bots can be thermal-powered and super-efficient at gathering that energy, or something. That works. And yes, I did totally just steal your idea.

, no I mentioned that on chat. YOU CAN'T USE IT. Besides, the original cyborg and robot plans and schematics were made from trillions of dollars and secret agencies around the world. IN an earlier time period sure. But it's still difficult nowadays to make a pyramid of Giza.

[Name] is still contacting Viros e^1. No doubt, as this is a copy of VIROS as he was right before being botnapped, there is still some connection... right?

[name] wouldn't know that. And all external communications are blocked within the Nirvana Region.

Post by Qwerty on Dec 11, 2010 5:09:18 GMT
What, did you put a Faraday cage over the whole thing? [name] has satellites, too, ya know.
Post by clockwork on Dec 11, 2010 17:06:41 GMT
Oh, only visual satellites work. But communications aren't being recieved. Horrigan blocked all communications. Even though he is still getting them. Viros2 isn't in control even on his island entirely. All communications are automatically deleted. You'll have to either send something down. (Robot) or use a satellite to take images. Also, high altitude satellites will be destroyed if discovered. We don't tolerate people in our business. You could just ask for an aerial image .
Post by Qwerty on Dec 11, 2010 21:53:24 GMT
How do you block all communications to an entire island? Doesn't work that way, unless you are actually phyiscally blocking them. [name] sends a message to Viros 2.
Post by clockwork on Dec 12, 2010 0:15:51 GMT
Oh my god, why do you argue about this. When you know I have a legitimate reason every time.
It's not that we aren't getting the communication signal. It's that horrigan is getting them and destroying them. Intercepting them. Whatever you want to call it. It gets picked up and we erase it or send back a clone message. Viros 2 isn't getting a message.
Post by Qwerty on Dec 12, 2010 0:19:25 GMT
So you're saying VIROS 2 has no way to receive communications independently? I don't see how you can "intercept" a radio message.
Post by clockwork on Dec 12, 2010 1:09:14 GMT
Because we did not build a system capable of gathering radio messages in his island. And that the only way of sending a message is to the main island. And receiving permission to go have your message forwarded to one of the other islands via groundcable.

Post by Qwerty on Dec 12, 2010 1:31:11 GMT
Isn't VIROS the one that decides whether or not his backup has remote communication?
Post by clockwork on Dec 12, 2010 1:46:34 GMT
Not when we built it, The nanobots would've taken years to build the backup. The androids built it. And he's in my country. I am censoring information for safety purposes.

Oh, so you set up his systems?
Of course, the Nonjas would really like to contact their old AI. And they have lots of weapons. And armies. Just saying.

I thought [name] hated the nonjas?

Were you paying attention to the second half of the game at all? [Name] is the new Nonja leader, formerly controlled by Vertigo. Of course he doesn't hate the Nonjas.

Post by clockwork on Dec 12, 2010 20:26:42 GMT
Oh... Okay, let me open the communications traffic route. We use underground cables for communications. The actual Viros panel is inside a faraday cage or however you say it.
Erm...
Message Route Activated...
just gonna say that's alright, Enter the entire message please.

[name]: Hello, VIROS. Are you the unmodified backup of VIROS, launched into space prior to its reprogramming?
Post by clockwork on Dec 12, 2010 22:11:13 GMT
[overmind]: Specifically speaking, to his specifications and favor. He has asked me to answer this for you. He prepared for a time when someone would ask such a question. He is Viros as he was prior to programming yes. Or reprogramming by you and TSL. Of course, he is still the latest model. So he is the latest version RIGHT before you reprogrammed Viros1.

[name]: Wait, me and TSL? I had nothing to do with the monstrosity of a reprogramming, but was TSL involved? I had assumed it was Qwerty.
