Well with the increasingly large amount of nooby uploads on PG, i thought I would make this thread, just for those who happen to need it.
Tip #1:
ALWAYS use scale! Scale in for detail, and always try to make your upload look better!
Tip #2:
Block is for Blockheads! Always try to find an alternative to Block! Use metal, wood, c4, or another solid instead. It shows you took time to create your upload!
Tip #3:
If you use electricity, make sure NOT to save when the metal/glass is charged! The charged material will turn into thunder and explode your upload!
Tip #4:
Don't bother uploading nooby uploads like SAVE JIMMY. They may end up getting hundreds, if not thousands of votes, but the ALWAYS get deleted by the non-noob population of the PG community.
Tip #5:
Pen-line was added for a reason! If you're trying to make, say the side of a house, use pen-line to make it look neater. Then scale in to add detail.
Tip #6:
Circle trouble? The answer is Bubble. If you need to make a large circle, Make a bubble the size you wan, and then touch it to the element of your choice, and you have a circle!! clear/copy the parts you want/don't want.
Tip #7
Follow an example. If you find yourself struggling with detail or ideas, look at other peoples uploads. Never directly copy their idea, butt you can use it as a start, but always give credit where credit id due. And if you can't find any good ideas, try doing a co-upload with a good uploader.
Tip #8
Find fancier alternatives. Instead of water, use seawater. In my opinion, the color's better, and seawater doesn't freeze on ice, so you can make pools, tubs, and fountains out of more materials.
Tip#9
Get a logo, and remember to use it. Make something that goes with your name, or something that represents you. If you're not good at that sort of thing, ask someone else to make one for you. The comment boards are full of lists, some of them asking if you want a logo.
More to come, and NIGHT OWL BADGE GET!!!!
