I have 5 goods/services:
- Custom sig pic/logo or stars: 75 dan balls and 25 dan balls (per star) respectively. - Custom personalized graphic: 150 dan balls (Nothing insanely hard, okay?). - Custom profile pic: 100 dan balls (Again, nothing crazy.) - Sticket (You, in stick ranger form, a type of graphic art): 25 dan balls per sticket - Badges. Yep, badges. 50 db's a pop. I can't do anything insane, but I could probably do what is requested well.
Note: Alright, I dismantled the sticket raffle, because I have been getting some negative complaints on it. So I decided to make stickets a graphic of the buyer in a Stick Ranger Format.
You choose accesories (Nothing too hard), class, name, weapon, Color of body and head, and background (BG will be one from SR, but that's a large choice). They are 25 db's a pop.
Also, graphics and the like cannot contain porn requests.

I can't permit you to sell contest entries, as that would go against everything for which a contest stands (e.g. personal involvement, fun, challenge, show-off of skill, etc.). As for the stickets, I will be doing my own probability calculations soon to corroborate yours... 1 * 1000 -1 * 50 = 20 -1Matches | Chance (No 50-range Repeats) | Tickets Needed | m = 1 | 19! * 20!-1 | 20! * 19!-1 | m = 2 | 18! * 20!-1 | 20! * 18!-1 | m = 3 | 17! * 20!-1 | 20! * 17!-1 | m = 4 | 16! * 20!-1 | 20! * 16!-1 | m = 5 | 15! * 20!-1 | 20! * 15!-1 | m = 6 | 14! * 20!-1 | 20! * 14!-1 | m = 7 | 13! * 20!-1 | 20! * 13!-1 | m = 8 | 12! * 20!-1 | 20! * 12!-1 | m = 9 | 11! * 20!-1 | 20! * 11!-1 | m = 10 | 10! * 20!-1 | 20! * 10!-1 |

I see your point. Very well, I was not aware, and shall remove the item. I will also honor Nm's request, and lower to 150. It was, in fact, a typo originally, I believe. Plus, thanks for the odds.

I'm starting to wonder whether I calculated combinations or permutations. If what I fear is true and I accidentally calculated permutations (harder to get than combinations), then I apologize and ask how to calculate matching combinations for 1 item, 2 items, 3 items, ..., (n-1) items, and all n items out of n possible items (in this case, 10).

You're asking me? It's pick 10, 50 numbers, There can be repeats in the 50 chosen numbers that are winners, but not in the sticket. So it is no repeats in choice, making every number the mode, 10 of those, 50 numbers possible. You can't submit a number twice, but you can win twice for ONE number if that number is in the number pool more than once. There can only be a max of two repeat numbers, meaning 2 numbers can have a duplicate (but not a third match) and the other 46 number pool numbers are unique. The numbers range from 1-1000.
Of course, I calculate all this at the end of each 5 sticket raffle. Fifty preprepared numbers will be set up right after I post this.

Numbers have been made. After five sticket buys, I will post them in this thread.
Remember: It is NOT 1-100, it is 1-1000.

Do you really think people are gonna take part in that stupid lottery? GV already posted the chances and they are extremely bad.

Do you really think you can get far in life with that stupid attitude? My chances are better than the other lottery. Plus, I give a 100 db bonus for winning seven numbers. He also said he accidentally calculated PERMUTATIONS, which are far worse chances that actual chances. It's like a "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" type of deal. You came with a poorly prepared argument, good sir. Out of kindness, and courtesy, I'll add +1 karma to you nonetheless, even though you so callously took a shot at me, because I'm nice, crappit.

Well, combinations may be much better than permutations, but they still can have rather large odds in the millions if one doesn't construct the lottery carefully.

Please answer, if I understood your system correct: You draw 50 numbers from 1 to 1000, they can repeat once. I pick 10 numbers from 1 to 1000 (not repeating, I would be stupid otherwise). For every number I picked that appears in those 50 numbers I get 20DBs.
Thats what I understood. And with that system, The chances are around the following: 0 right: 60.441% 1 right: 30.618 % 2 right: 7.5422% 3 right: 1.2382% 4 right: 0.1469% 5 right: 0.0123% 6 right: 0.0005% 7 right: 0.0002% Because I'm not that good with probabilities, I simulated 1,000,000 games. The chance to get more then you invested is less then 1:800. The lottery in my country has a probability of ~2% to get more then you invested. Your average return is 10DBs per game. You are right, this one is much better then the other one, but still far from being a fair game.

Yes, well people play 1 in 11 million for most conventional lottery systems. If db's were cash redeemable, the cost of the ticket would make up for odds.

the difference to normal lottery is you have a slim chance of winning the jackpot and getting rich. You can't say, 200 is a big jackpot...
*edit* Oh and the lottery is controllable. You could easily just change your numbers if too many people would have won since you are the only one to know them before they are released.

1. These tickets don't cost $10 2. I wouldn't change my numbers. I am doing this lottery for fun, not so much profit. Note my casual appearance and the pun "Stick-et". Think about it: If the denizens of SR bought lottery tickets, they'd be called stickets. I do this for the fun of it, not to be a dishonest and low scammer. Yeah, that's right, some people are ACTUALLY honest people just living their lives, not just trying to make a quick buck.

For being an honest person not trying to make a quick buck, you have a pretty efficient system there to make a quick buck with dishonest gambling. But you are right, burning DBs is quite fun...
*edit* No seriously. Your intentions might have been good, but that still is not a fair system.

Look... I'm trying not to get impatient with you. It is a minor raffle, which you don't HAVE to do. End of discussion on the raffle. Now, I made this shop for people to buy goods and services, the raffle is just for fun. Quite honestly, If more than sixteen total numbers are matched across five tickets, I lose money. I lose 20 db's on the 16th, and 20 for each additional number.
5 tickets: 350 db's 1 jackpot hit: 250 11th number with jp: 270 12th: 290 13th: 310 14th: 330 15th: 350 16th: 370
350-370= -20
If all five are jackpots, I give out 1000 db's, and if one person purchased all of them, they get stupid large profits: 650 db's. So, before you try making me look like a scammer, think how much I stand to lose, and how my odds are crappier than yours. Now, please... if you are going to buy something, please do so. But don't argue, because I won't listen. I run a shop, not a debate team center. Buy, or ask something related to business.

The first correct thing you said there: You can actually loose money. But the probability for you to loose is much less then 1 in a million. And I'm not in need of your karma or anything. So get impatient if you want.

Actually, 16/50 are my odds in losing money. thats 9/50 away from 1 in 2. So I basically get gypped. Now, end of discussion, buy, ask, or leave.
