I also think that MF should STAY MODDED.

But, the rules should be more clear. Foxtrotzero uses "f***ing" way too much. When I ask him why he was attracted to rifles, he to threatened to ban me.

I would like the rules to be clarified, but noone to be demodded.

This needs to be evaluated by the staff body. In the interests of bias, Zai and MF's opinions would be nearly weightless, but only one of them is a mod anyway.

This is not the correct way to go about the process. I will not take action, but next time, be sure you send this in a private message to a moderator.

Either way, I don't know if this is exactly worth removing his moderatorship, but I believe for this and previous counts of behaviour unbecoming and, possibly, insubordination, he should be, at the least, probated.

Not only could that kind of thing be considered 'disturbing', but posting it three times in a row is spamming and trolling.

I was also banned for it, I posted it, and MF carries the ban over. He also comes. SPAMS THE CHAT! Calls me a major troll. And orders me to remove my post in GB or else I get banned. On chat, last I thought Chat bans don't carry to forums.

MF, now is not the place to post the chat doc OR praise it. I read the thing; almost all of it is left up to our discretion anyway. It failed the same reason the constitution failed, and that isn't being reaccepted anytime soon, either.

It would not be cut-and-dry on this issue. Instead, it would simply make it take a lot longer to solve.

Maybe MicroFarad should get probation for being a terrible example and publicly discussing what he obviously does not want discussed publicly (which goes against all common sense), discussing sexually oriented topics on chat, and Nmagain should get banned for one hour for posting the picture multiple times despite that another was banned for the same thing.

Shall the issue be considered settled at that, or shall we drop all charges against both parties?

I did not say anything in public which I did not want to public to discuss. The public construed what I said.

Okay: Whole story.

I'm carrying one of those concrete blocks with two holes in it and I dropped it. It cracked. My dad tells me to, and I quote:
"Stop being such a dildo"

That was a year ago.
I finally found out what a dildo was, and I was rather surprised my dad would call me that. Especially since he wasn't really mad when he said it, rather more surprised.

So, I posted something to the effect that I was shocked my dad had said that. But because of the fact that my "yeah" came after Zaix's dirty comments, the whole thing got rather nasty sounding.

Then, OMNI trolls me. Whatever this crap he is talking about with me carrying over stuff he did on the forum to the chat is untrue. He wants to wriggle himself out of a situation. At this point, I'm willing to let him go scott free. At one point, I sought retribution for him making me look like some kid with a messed up dad (which is absolutely not the case). Now I just want this behind us. I honestly think though that trolling is an offense which should be taken more seriously. It can seriously ruin a good day. Trolls should be given two warnings, and then administered a ban ranging from 1 day to 1 week. In all honesty, if they don't abide by the rules, they deserve it. And who says it's too harsh? It's this simple. Don't troll, don't be banned. And usually a mod would not seek a ban of greater than a day. But OMNI has been repeatedly trolling members, with a strong tendency towards trolling me. I have been far too lenient and not even warned him on a few occasions. NMagane probably did not deserve a two day ban, and I apologize.

Look at Dhoom. I hated his guts at one point. He was a pretty successful troll. But, whatever happened in his brain, he's decided it's either not necessary, or not worth it. And he's a really likable guy. OMNI, for some reason, went the opposite direction. NMagane was probably just poking fun at me at the wrong time. Though he was aware of the situation... I don't know what possesed him not to stop. In any case, I would be more than willing to put this behind us under the following conditions:
OMNI removes any instances of the screenshot, or clearly labels them as "Extraordinarily out of context"
OMNI and NMagane are unbanned.
The nature of the screenshot made clear to everyone.

I would be willing to have my banning monitored, however, I think this unnecessary, in light of the realization that retribution is impossible against a determined troll.

I guess I can see him being banned for one day, but I haven't really noticed OMNI trolling anyone else recently. So you posted your "Yeah" at the wrong time. So what? I've done various things, far worse.

If you saw my latest blunder in the Chat's Funniest Moments thread (all a matter of bad timing), you would see that I also became victim to a misunderstanding and put Dhoom in the same situation. Omni insisted that the picture go in his signature, but I insisted that it go in Chat's Funniest Moments and stay there. I moved it there, Dhoom was explicitly okay with it now that it was out of Omni's signature, and I haven't had any problems with that since.

I guess I have two points:

• We all make horrific blunders because we were seconds too slow to post, and shouldn't be too concerned with them when we know they are simply timing miscommunications.
  
• We do not need to ban someone for posting a Chat's Funniest Moments candidate unless he or she spams the image after putting it in that thread.

I've made blunders too. Usually they are funny, this one was not.

What more can I say?

I will restrain myself from doing this again, but I think that a person should have some say in what gets plastered all over chat's funniest moments and the chat.

Yes, although usually the Chat's Funniest Moments thread serves as a compromise (from my perspective) between having the image plastered everywhere out of context and preventing someone from sharing a rather interesting moment altogether, thereby providing a solution to both parties. I do not think that my blunder was the least bit funny - I unintentionally insulted someone's intelligence! - and yet I have that image on Chat's Funniest Moments. You may not see what you did as funny, and I certainly do not, but it's still a miscommunication that resulted in a good laugh for some.

If you don't want the image up at all, I guess you can take it down if it's still up anywhere...
