"Brrrr! It's chilly in here! Is everyone wearing sweaters? Don't want anyone to get a cold before the battle! That would be just awful. You there! In the back. Yes, I see you shivering. Go put a sweater on, double time!"
Aleksandry runs up to Castle Boss, gets caught on fire, rolls around screaming for a bit, then slices its leg off with the Green Lightsaber. It falls and its head is crushed on impact. "Yay! We win!" Aleksandry says. "Now for the clean-up" Lev muses. The Sniper general walks up to Aleksandry, after the mes is cleaned up. Sir, I have an idea: We should make this little bow I thought up: It has a far more powerful design, and three notches so it can fire three arrows farther and straighter." Aleksandry replies, "Good idea. We'll begin design research and construction immediately." Army: 8 Latvia Navy: 2 Latvia
Lord Shadow:"This planet seems to be running out of places for us to conquer... I say we conquer the moon and set up some military bases as well as research facilities. It could serve as an extremely valuable asset and vantage point."
Minion:"Ooh... Sounds very interesting, Your Majesty."
Lord Shadow:"It's all coming together now... Alright, here's the plan. The first step is for us to launch a manned space station into orbit around the planet. This station will be relatively large, so we will have to send it in multiple rockets and assemble it in orbit around the moon. The capsule will house various military, scientific, and engineering personnel and serve as the rendezvous point for all personnel involved in the project. The station will be periodically sent food and supplies via unmanned supply capsules launched from Earth. Additional capsules will be periodically sent to increase the station's size, along with additional personnel.
From the space station, small, reusable landing capsules will be regularly sent down to the lunar surface, where personnel will begin setting up a fortified perimeter with military barracks, as well as the base itself, which will include greenhouses with plants brought from Earth, water purification systems, housing for animals brought from Earth, research facilities, living quarters, and the like. This process will be repeated in various locations on the moon. Later on, we can connect the bases to each other by some sort of lunar road system. Furthermore, within the next few years, we can perhaps expand the bases and commercialize them, bringing in civilians as well as private places of business."
Minion:"Wow... That seems complicated, Your Majesty."
Lord Shadow:"Yes, this is going to be a massive undertaking. But with time and determination, it will happen. Now, get to work designing that space station and getting it ready for launch. And I want troops and scientists of all different fields to be trained to go up into space."
Minion:"Yes, your majesty."
*The minion walks out the door.*
Lord Shadow:"Excellent... Project Frontier has begun!"
As VISO changes his personality according to specifications, he also receives a radio distress signal. A message appears on the screen, telling Vertigo of the incoming signal and that he may want to receive it in private.
@tsl: You realize, of course, that the stolen Nonja technology is already practically there. That was their original plan, and you took their technology. You can probably skip a couple stages in that.
"Sir, we have more armies than Estonia now." "Good, aide. However, we're not stopping yet. We need more armies, and I have some technology that will help a quite a bit." "OK, sir." Army: 9 Latvia Navy: 2 Latvia

These capsules can take in basic audiovisual information, in addition to temperature, and can be modified to test for traces of any material in the air and soil. This means that by scattering them randomly over a rival, we can use them for basic reconnaissance as well as testing for radioactive materials which may potentially be used for bombs."

Yes, but we never got around to reverse-engineering it because of the whole incident with ___. And with NF1 dead and NF2 incapacitated, how am I supposed to do it now?

Minion:"Your Majesty, the man-made island in the north Atlantic has been completed, along with the high-security underground storage facility."
Lord Shadow:"Excellent!"
*Lord Shadow walks over to the video conference screen, presses a few buttons. A connection is established with the scientists in Greenland.*
Lord Shadow:"Scientists."
Scientist 1:"Greetings, Your Majesty. What is it?"
Lord Shadow:"We have finished construction on a man-made island which has an underground storage facility. That Tesla water is very dangerous, so we are sending a ship to Greenland to pick it up and lock it up in the facility, temporarily at least."
Scientist 1:"Sounds good, Your Majesty."

*In the Tenktinite base* Hilyke: Alright, good work maggots. With this missile, we will crush not the Kar'm'lah, but their closest ally! Kill them. *Any attempt to stop the rocket is useless. The rocket is armed with anti-anti-missile armaments and turrets, making any effort at stopping the rocket impossible.*

Ok, time out, HTZ. That missile can't be impossible to stop, for several reasons:
1. If it really was impossible, that would be godmodding, which obviously isn't allowed.
2. When you were building and testing the K'Boom, you never specified the fact that it had anti-anti-missile features, so one could argue that these features are illegitimate. You should have been transparent before.
3. Although it could very well be possible for the missile to have anti-anti-missile features, they won't last forever. If I shoot dozens and dozens of missiles at it, eventually the K'Boom will run out of ammo and won't be able to defend itself anymore.
4. What if I just send dozens and dozens of fighter jets at it? Sure, it might be capable of shooting down planes, but there's just no way it can defend itself from that many planes. Plus, each plane carries multiple missiles (most planes can carry about 6). Say I send 20 planes at it, which isn't even very many. That's 120 missiles coming at the K'Boom! There is absolutely no way it could defend itself from that. Furthermore, fighter jets are equipped with machine guns, and unlike missiles, you cannot possibly stop bullets.
5. If that missile goes from Cairo to Salazar, naturally it's going to have to fly over the Mediterranean Sea. There are scores of Shadowlorian navy fleets in the Mediterranean. They are equipped with huge EMP cannons that can fire pulses of electromagnetic radiation at light speeds at the missile and completely fry its guidance and navigation systems. In addition, they are also equipped with lasers that could just blow up the missile in midair. There are also fleets all around the coast of Britain that shoot at it as well, if it gets close enough.
6. What if I throw everything I have at it? Fighter jets can fly towards Cairo from Algeria and Eastern Europe and intercept the K'Boom. Ships with EMP cannons and lasers in the Mediterranean can shoot at it. Once it gets close to Britain, there's even more ships with EMP cannons and lasers, plus even more fighter jets, plus multiple surface-to-air defense missiles. Honestly, the idea that this thing can reach Salazar and hit its target, is just not possible.

I left NF2 alive. He can still think. Plus, with postmodern technology, it shouldn't be too hard to give him a simple robot body for transport. He can still help out.
8. A guided missile relies on computers on the ground. The computers know the exact flight path of the missile, and transmit information to the missile to make its autopilot system work. There are Shadowlorian navy ships in the Red Sea right now. There are aircraft carriers carrying bomber aircraft. These bombers are equipped with EMP bombs. I can just send planes into Egypt, drop EMP bombs on Cairo, and wipe out the city's electronics. The computers will be fried, the missile will no longer be guided to its target, and it will simply fly until it runs out of fuel and falls out of the sky.

@tsl: Now see, you don't really know about this missile until it travels over Kar'Italus. From the sea, it looks just like a jet. @ Reason 1: Power playing, my friend, power playing. Common misconception. @ Reason 2: Actually, I said that a while ago. I'll see if I can find that in the archive thing later. @ Reasons 3-4: Did I mention it is a CLUSTER missile? It has hundreds of smaller bombs on it, each with a powerful warhead. Not to mention that the main warhead has been switched out for a nuclear warhead. FUN FACT: Blowing up a nuclear warhead ABOVE ground causes even more widespread damage! Isn't that great? @ Reason 5: Again, it looks just like a jet from the sea. And you don't know about it yet. @ Reason 6: Please refer to the previous information. @ Reason 7: Well, you got me there-hey, wait a minute... @ Reason 8: Again, I don't think the Nonjas would take kindly to Shadowlorian military aircraft bombarding their city. That would probably be bad if the Nonjas thought they were being attacked by you. No. It just wouldn't end well.
@ @ Reason 2: Found it! Re: Nonjas: Global Invasion Post by skribbblie on May 15, 2010, 12:15pm
(FYI, Operation "K'Boom" is a massive multi-phase Cluster Rocket. Very effective, in the fact that the main missile is armed with anti-missile and anti-aircraft weapons, thus rendering any attempt to stop the smaller rockets that come out of the main rocket futile. Additionally, the main warhead releases 5 kilotons of power upon impact. This particular research item will take at LEAST 100 posts.) Keep in mind that the main warhead is now nuclear. --------------- Hilyke: Begin evacuating to a safer location, scum. Dispose of the seized weapons, they are being tracked. MOVE! Oi, techie scum! Stay here to monitor the missile!

OOC: Exactly. It is stoppable if I just bomb Cairo. I don't care what the Nonjas will say. They'll probably understand, and besides, EMP bombs won't damage the city itself, just the electronics, which Shadowloria can help rebuild later once the city is out of Tenktinite hands.
*Lord Shadow contacts the admiral in charge of the navies in the Red Sea.*
Lord Shadow:"Admiral, we have an emergency!!! A huge super-missile is headed toward Salazar as we speak! There is no way to stop it directly, but the control center for it is in the Tenktinite base in Cairo. I want you to EMP-bomb the city to wipe out the electronics!"
Admiral:"But Your Majesty, that city is in Nonja territo--"
Lord Shadow:"I don't give a damn!!! The fate of your country is at stake!!! I want every single plane you have, to be scrambled. Not just the bombers, but everything. I want all your planes to escort the bombers and take out all missile defense sites and enemy planes if you see them. GO, GO, GO!!!!"
Admiral:"Yes, Your Majesty."
*Cue dramatic military music. The admiral stands up as tall and intimidating as he can, fiercely straightens his uniform, puts on his cap, arches in his eyebrows, licks his lips creepily, (You've probably noticed by now that Shadowlorians are not only extremely paranoid, but extremely arrogant as well.), and gives the order to scramble all jets and bomb Cairo. Dozens and dozens of aircraft begin taking off from the aircraft carriers, one after another.*
(There are 4 navy fleets in the Red Sea. Each fleet has 1 aircraft carrier. Now, first of all, the average aircraft carrier in 2010 could carry approximately 70 aircraft, so in 2060 it's probably a lot more. Secondly, Shadowloria has built special aircraft carriers that are a lot bigger than other aircraft carriers, so they can hold even more still. That means a bare minimum of 280 aircraft headed for Cairo. There is no way they can all be stopped.
"VISO, satellite imagery shows there to be a rather nasty missile headed to Salazar, over the Mediterranean. Of course, it would have to fly over France for the to happen, and we do have those artificial gravity generators."
"Turn on the generators in France, I want that missile stopped in its tracks, mid-air."
@tsl: If you read correctly, I never said it was impossible to stop. Oh wait. I did. Well, take that back. Hey wait a minute! If you're fighters disable the auto pilot, who's to say that it won't hit land?! That thing has around a hundred warheads on it, including a nuclear warhead! I hope that doesn't hit Kar'Italus! Or anywhere else. Except Poland. Nobody cares about them. EDIT: @ Vert: Wait, you WANT the bomb to fall on France?! --------------- Hilyke: Keep it moving, keep it moving. Everyone evac! Hey, where's my droid? WHERE'S LUSTERBANE?! *shoots a nearby civilian* WHERE IS HE?! *Meanwhile* Ekter: ...Did you hear that? Uncter: Hear what? Ekter: Behind us! I heard the secret door open and close! *A band of Hekslaughts jumps out of nowhere.* Hekslaught: Freeze, scum! *The Kar'altaners also come out of nowhere and shoot all of the Hekslaughts dead.* Mordavo: Alright, everyone out! We've got helicopters waiting outside to pick you all up, move!
