We should consider the powder toy's and powder game's features and/or abilities...
the powder toy and powder game will be referenced as TPT and PG.
First, TPT is GPL, aka, open source, you can mod this however you want, but be weary, this is for people that know a bit of C++ and anything programming related, not for people who don't know how to use Scratch (a programming language for kids).
Second, PG is small and portable, which makes it easy to load and run on devices with javascript.
Third, PG is online-only, aka, requires an internet connection, there are also more elements on their website than in their mobile app.
Fourth, TPT can be played offline, but it requires you to download it.
Fifth, TPT is desktop-only, there is an unofficial iOS release (some random guy charging $2 for it) and an official in-beta(?) android release.
Sixth, TPT does have more elements than PG, but since people keep saying Ant, Bird, and Laser is the best, I will elaborate on these game's elements. PG's Bird element isn't very good, i've tried using it, and Ant is nice, it makes nice patterns, but Laser can be colored, which is pretty good, it can "block" elements. TPT's life elements can be used for heating/cooling, you can do electrolysis with water, you can make water from oxygen and hydrogen, there's heat, gravity, and pressure/air simulation too.
Seventh, i've heard that TPT gets 25-30 fps while PG gets 35-45 fps or something like that, this is based on hardware, not software, for some people the web-based PG is faster than TPT (not web-based), for me on my 2007 Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4829, I get 30+ fps on TPT and 15-20 fps on PG, the Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4829 runs Debian 10, aka, Linux.
Eighth, TPT and PG have their own pros and cons, if you want more complexity, a lot of features, and moddability, go for TPT; while if you want simplicity, a decent amount of features, and good mobile support, go for PG.
Ninth, don't act like 3 year olds when someone says TPT is better than PG because it has more elements, or that PG is better than TPT because it has Bird, Ant, and Laser. They're saying why they prefer one game over the other because it has something that caters more to them than the other game, you can debate that and so can they, but don't throw curse (or cuss (either way, you know what I mean)) words at them, if you are offended by it don't say anything at all if it doesn't break any rules here. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion here.
TENTH, don't act immature, like saying "FU CUZ U SAID TPT BETTER THAN PG", I already explained in the the above reason, it just makes you look immature

I remember these old forums like they were yesterday, I've gotten back into playing Stick Ranger just the other day for the nostalgia, the later levels are kicking my butt lmao, wish the Priest wasn't so buggy and actually hit all the enemies within range. Oh well, I'm still having fun again, and I wish I still had the avatar from here that was that blue cat spinning in a circle from back in the day.

Hello, I’m just your friendly web archeologist here, it appears I have stumbled upon a dead forum site here... It appears this guy pointed me in this direction: “DisgorgedMech. #If548dqO Apr 10,2012 02:00 If you want to talk more about Mine Tower and other Dan-Ball Games, come to the Dan-Ball Forum where we have an active community always welcoming new members! danballforum.proboards.com/index.cgi”From the looks of it... this community isnt very active anymore... Anyone know where I could get weapons from certain monsters in stick ranger 2?

Finally an interesting update. This is what Stick Ranger is like in my dreams, though the fact you only have the boxer and the enemies don't have predictable attacks makes it extremely hard. As a side note, the SR Bestiary will not take this game into account.

Yeah, I look forward to trying it out when it's a little more fleshed out. Not much happening there at the moment.

An old thread is one thing, but this thread is six years old. A troll thread, at that. How did you even find it? I'm with him on this, not gunna lie, finding this thread again is rather impressive. xD ...just to sate my curiosity, does anyone know if any other Falling-Sand-Style games have been made in the last, well, 6 years?

I mean... Dan-Ball is doing fine. This forum? Deader than a stabbified ghost's ghost P_P Ayep... but it doesn't seem to just straight-up die for good. We all seem drawn to return here every couple months, checking in for some random reason? (at least that's what I've gleaned from my own experiences and reading through some of the 'recently posted in' threads) I'm not sure if we can bring it back to life, heck I'm not sure if I think we should even try... but perhaps we could neaten up what we already have for the old-returners of the past? (I wouldn't mind helping out if need be, the dead code/images everywhere is almost getting to me more than the dead forum...)

Greetings, it's been a years indeed. (: Also, a quick google, perhaps Clock was referring to this? (honestly have no idea though and just popped in on this thread because it was a recent active one)

+1. (does that make it 5 now?) More seriously, memories indeed. We probably all ended up taking it too seriously, but hindsight is 20/20 and all that. Retrospectively, I think that the large amount of both seriousness and drama was probably due to most of us being of the same rough generation and essentially growing up 'together'. Could this be construed as the third return of Molopoy? (original joining of the forum, original topic of this thread, and the 2018 revival?) I'm not sure if this is a good or bad omen... the Admin's last activity taking place on April 1st... [/ye-olden-paranoia-of-a-nostalgic-past]

Hi everyone, I don't really use steam often... but might as well drop my info here if people want to reconnect or anything. steamcommunity.com/id/memzak/Also, I believe there is a DBF Steam group of some sort? At least, I seem to be added to one and it contains a couple familiar usernames: steamcommunity.com/groups/Dan-BallOF

There's been plenty since the story was written. Not much recorded though. The drama left when all the people did. Oh my god. I just looked this up by random chance. Can't remember my old password. I have the weirdest nostalgia. I started on this board 9 years ago. Holy shit this feels weird. Can we... Can we talk about this? Shoot me an email if you're ever interested in talking to old strangers/friends on the Internet. swearingworth@gmail.com Basically the same boat as above. Very nostalgic reading this (and exploring the wastelands of this forum), along with a whole bunch of, "Oh geez, did I really used to behave like that?" A tear shed for the lack of inclusion of the, obviously, greatest member the forum every had... me...[/loljk] (oh wow, using fake BBC like that brings memories back too) Also feel free to shoot me an email/message if you want to. Basically any account on the internet named Memzak is probably mine, it'll probably be a bit hit-or-miss since I don't really check them all regularly. >_>"
