New : Compo item "Charm" addition. Compo item addition.
Freeze, Ice, and poison charms...I have a feeling poison charm will be the default for Vs mode. =P
In other news, I will be updating my betting thread and vs mode compo item thread tomorrow to support these new changes.
50% ice/freeze/poison for compo level 1.
Can someone tell us if this also dealing with damage? I don't currently have a vs mode team that use a ice weapon so someone else may have to make one.
After a quick look into the book I notice that level 4 cards, crystals, medals and most likely jewels also (did not check all stages) are also in the game. Seem like SR got more then 4 updates in one go.
Looking at the comment board (and posting a link to this thread) I notice that the admin update post have
"thunder spear" Correction.
on it...Anyone knew what the bug was?

The charms only affect if you are damaged by a certain attack at all. So you get a 50% (80%) chance, you are not frozen by the SS boss for instance. Thats quite a big thing, by boxer gets barely frozen and its a lot easier to deal with him now (not that SS boss was hard after it got dumped down).

there are no LV4 jewels, but LV 4 medals and five LV4 cards... LV4 crystals were there before.
the Thunder Spear 4 correction is minor, not even noticable...
Edit: oh, and the elemental attack protection by the charms affects only the EFFECT of the attack but not the initial damage (e.g. the SSh Boss attack still deals 5 damage)...

To me it's a waste of an item, but to other people it helps I guess...

The difference in thunder spear is not so minor as you say IMO. Now the spears decellerate quite a lot. If you attached a guide card to TS with the old version, imagine there are two enmies standing next to each other, the first one gets killed and a few spears are drawn to the next one. Now if the second enemy got killed and your spears still had speed, they would move over the whole screen until they hit another enemy or a wall. Now they immediately slow down and stop, so they can't hit another enemy (unless he comes into the guides card range). (If you don't understand my explanation, I can create a small vid to illustrate it.) While this decreases the usefulness of the weapon by a few percent, its probably how it was meant to be and it looks a little more realistic.

Excellent. This is an awesome update. I guess the SR developer did have two weeks on this. Hopefully we'll have updates like this more often!

That was one reason why I pick TS before the volcano orbs. In Vs mode you could quickly kill the mage and the lighting would go and attack the sniper. <3 Also thanks disable on how the charms work. I thought at first that if a sniper have poison damage of 2 then it would be drop to 1 (50%) but seeing that they are more like the black crystal the value of the items are pretty good.

These need to be downgraded a lot. 50% is way to much for a level 1 compo.

i agree with satar, but i dont think we should downgrade a compo. we should use the overpowered things to our advantage

charms may seem overpowered but look how far in the game you have to get just for a lv2 poison charm. You should be getting lv4 weapons by then.
As for the lv1 charms they in the hill stages so they are fine for being level 1.
I found the charms to be somewhat useless as it seem every poison cloud is counted. It like rolling 3d100 and hope both dice land on 80 or lower. Even then as soon as you got lucky from that attack a new attack is coming in within 2 sec from the last.
I believe the high values are needed. SS boss only have 1 bullet so of course you will be fine with a 50% or a 80% chance of being blocked but for the later bosses these items may be needed. The newest desert stage would be impossible or close to it unless you have a range unit.

I wonder whether we are gonna gt any other types of charm. Hopefully they will be on the next update.

I wonder whether we are gonna gt any other types of charm. Hopefully they will be on the next update. i'd also welcome that, but on the other hand fire and thunder attacks don't have an "elemental effect", just the plain damage... but still, it would be an interesting addition. this item mixes up the vs mode BIG time. ^^

Poison teams aren't gonna be quite so potent any more. Maybe I'll have a chance in VS for once...

50% is way too much for SSB. The freeze charms are definately overpowered.

The charms are so awesome... the frozen charm owns sub, and there's a poison charm too... desert 6 boss will never again be able to own a stickman with only 1 attack... Interesting that a few other gamed I play have chamrs too...

Bullets card 4 is so awesome! explosion chain + bullets 4 + mag stone 4 = ownage! defeated the whole boss stage alone with 1 stickman!

Yep. It looks awesome. Now the Thunder Spear is kinda overkill...
