In the days of Listo, and the old forum, Listo would change the colours of the chat to coincide with the season, or special occasion.
I.E Red and Green for Christmas, Purple and Pink for Valentines, etc.
I think we should get this back again. Who agrees it would be nice to have some colour in our lovely chat?

Do you think an orange and black chat would go well with our current skin? I suppose we could revamp the skin, too, but people might find that annoying.

You know, we should really do something like this, once in a while. A "while" as in... Once every season? Maybe we should only make them to holidays. I don't know. I do know that this should be explained fully, by Dhoom himself.

It's only temporary. We can change it back when GV says so.

Not just Veers. We've got three admins, ya know.

He's right: we are a triumvirate with equal voice, not two assistants to a single owner.
Anyhow, if we were careful with the color shades and hues, we could probably change the chat without changing the rest of the forum to celebrate whatever holiday or season...

Well we already (sorta) did something with the pumpkin hunt, but that isn't much.
Perhaps we can change the general theme to orange and black to match Halloween. (instead of this tan/orange and brown.

That would take far too much time, and we don't even know how the codes work. I suppose we could just change the chat, but then the colors would clash with the forum itself.

Most of the color scheme is actually just in the skin modification page, including the solid brown (not the gradient black-to-brown) background. The things that are not in there, such as the brown table cells (e.g. the tops of profiles, the tops and bottoms of threads and Quick Reply, etc.), the tan background, and the banner are merely images that need replaced with different images.
The hard part wouldn't be messing with the code, but trying to find good hues of black and orange and making sure we got all the images that need replaced; however, it would be very time consuming.

I like the idea of changing the chat colors just fine, but not the forum colors. That would make it kind of tacky.

I like the idea. But these new chat colors are "eye rape". Seriously, whomever made these colors needs to learn more about HEX codes.

Eh, they are working better than I thought they would, but they still clash pretty bigtime with the forum colors. Not as much as the forum game chat, but still. It hurts a little to look at.

MicroFarad, read xkcd comic #32.
Well, if you have discovered my plan to blind everyone while I flood the place with Stromtroopers, what would you suggest I use for colors instead?

I don't know. Just orange and black really. Although a pumpkin in teh banner and the orange chat is fine I think.
Unless we want an extra spicing up for the actual halloween day.

Then it's settled. Now all we need to do is plan for Christmas.

Red and green! Hurrah! Red outer parts, green inner parts?

Sure, I mean that's what we did (well what listo did) two years ago during the 2008 Christmas.
Any other holidays we could change our colors to? I rate we only do it for Halloween, Christmas/new year and Valentine day.

It shouldn't be for Christmas specifically, though. Just the holidays.

Yea, I mean some people don't celebrate it, some people aren't religious. (I still celebrate it because I like presents and it's just kinda a festive season and whatnot)
