For some reason the tab keys selects modify/post message instead of making an indent.

Hasn't it always been like that? To include tabs, you may have to take the message into Notepad or some equivalent, edit the message to include tabs, and paste the message back into the post.

Oh well. Couldn't we make a javascript code in the global footer to add a intent? if you type in a custom UBBC tag?
eg: [tab]
It could work and we could just add an image for it next to the spoiler tag's image (although if we do it, we might need to modify the spoiler tag image to accommodate it.)
So anyone up to make the code? Or must we just go and request it from proboards?

Would using a censor code be possible?

I will have to see, but I think it might...
This is a standard line. [tab]This is an indented line where the "T" immediately follows [tab]. [tab][tab]This is a doubly indented line where the "T" immediately follows two [tab] tags.

Great, that would be really useful....
[tab]Have you tried it yet?
EDIT: I guess not yet... Although I must say, disabled that was a splendid idea, coming up with using censor codes...

This is a line where a space exists between "T" and a [tab] tag.
Alright, the censor works, especially if you modify your post to see the tag replaced by a tab, but tabs don't show up in a posted post. Maybe an HTML tab literal would work?
[tab] This is a line where a space exists between "T" and a [tab] tag, which is composed of five non-breaking spaces.
