Hello, and welcome to Pass it On: Dwarf Fortress version! The basis of this game is that there will be a Dwarf Fortress save up for download. The first person to post "TAKEN" has 24 hours to make changes and reupload the save. If they don't reupload it by the end of their time, they have forfeited their turn and all changes they make will not count. Also, there is not waiting in line, when someone posts the new save, the first person afterwards to say "TAKEN" gets it. Examples below: User0: I call it next! User1:Alright guys, I added a new farm as well as a wall around the well. [save] User2: TAKEN In this case, User2 would get the save for 24 hours. However, if he went past his time limit of 6 hours, User0 or anyone else is free to take the previous save and make changes. And now, without further ado, the Save. Using and Uploading SavesTo install the save, go into your DF folder, > data > save, move everything here to a different folder (e.g. save.bak) then unzip the 'current' and 'region1' folders into here. To upload, just zip up the save folder (make sure you don't have any of YOUR saves in it!) and upload it.

But how would that work with a semi-active forum as this one? We should extend each period to 24 hours realtime, but a max of one DF year playtime in that 24 hours.

Aww, darn those migrants. From what I can see on the dorfing list, it was either MachPunch or Draxor.

Machpunch must have realized the fortress has no onigiri.
Anyway, should I restart it in a safer, easier place? Maybe with a modded game?

The most modern one, not sure what it's called. DF 2010, that's for sure.
