Previous post was: ''Hey guys, I don't think this is something worth arguing about. Danball doesn't need new members. It's like a guild, everyone knows each other. If you get a lot of people, it's not even a community anymore, you know.''

Yeah, that applies with gaining new members. Most of this is aimed at increasing activity and interest amongst current ones.

I see an interesting thing: Most of the required changes mean USERS need to put forth an effort. Little involves STAFF implementations. KuraiOorora, you want change, you get people to make it themselves. Staff, however, are not needed to make sure people have passion. Little more needs staff than a sub-board or a skin. But consider that skins may not work for all browsers, and that we make our own attitudes towards the forum, the activity is what we make it, and passion is ours to make or lose.

See, K7? That's what I was trying to point out to KO all along. Thanks for stating it in other words. Maybe he'll actually listen to you.

Glad someone's with me on this. It's not the staff's problem that WE lack creativity and passion on the scale of what once was. I mean, a skin or a sub-board, yeah we need them for that. What we DON'T need them for is to make us less bored and actually decently excited about this place. This place is dead because members made it dead. They find it boring. Staff solve the syntax errors here, not the user errors.

I can make games with actionscript. Does that amount to anything?

Is it dead? Honestly? We're a small community, not a dead one.

No, it isn't dead, and as the thread closed nearly a month ago there's no further question of that. Unfortunately your posting may have attracted undue attention to this thread from people that don't have the back info from, say, chat.
