The Nonja island is, as revealed on the world map in Nonjas: Global Invasion, is located in the middle of the Pacific, many miles from anywhere else. It is extremely isolated, and is not generally known about or marked on maps. As it is at the same latitude as Panama, it has very similar weather: Hot, humid, stuffy, and generally unpleasant.
The island's geography is simple. On one end, there is a set of large mountains. These mountains come down gradually, but end abruptly in a set of massive cliffs. In the cliffs there is said to be a massive hidden cave with a single, small entrance, impossible to detect from outside unless one knows where it is.
From the cliffs, beginning at the base, there is a dense forest with a few clearings. Nonja Fighters often camp in this forest. Maneuvering in said forest is very difficult. At the edge of the forest, where it meets the abandoned village, the Nonja base is located, a short distance from the ocean.
Beyond the Nonja Base, after a short stretch of grass, is the abandoned village. This village is, in many ways, similar to Chernobyl. When the Nonjas conquered it, they had everyone out within a few days. Rotten bodies were eventually eaten by the creatures that took hold there. A few small groups of Nonja Fighters live there, in basements, but at great risk. It is in many ways similar to a zombie-infested wasteland, minus the zombies.
After that, by some freak of the climate, the humidity lowers. The climate almost entirely changes. The rest of the island, and indeed the majority of the island, is a desert.
The base, and the village, are essentially located on the shore of the side facing Mexico. The other side has a set of cliffs going down to the ocean. It is much like the island France (on Damogran, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference) in that respect.
Near the island, on the Mexico side, but past the horizon, is another, far smaller island. It is a standard tropical island. There is a natural spring there, and plenty of fruit trees. A small shelter is on the Nonja-Island-facing side of it, on the beach. It is left over from Qwertyuiop's time there. The shelter is rotten and parts have collapsed.
