I figured I may as well write up some specifics about Nonjas, loathe as I am to do so. The Nonjas have always been a more vague canon, with no definite lines between what is canon and what is not, ranging from the giant cheesemonster battle, the Mind Control Device, the Hothian Cave-Dwellers and their base in the mountains, the events of Planetary Warfare and Nonjas: Global Invasion, and of course the layout of the Nonja Base itself.
This is, of course, completely natural from the origin of the Nonja canon. For months the Nonjas existed entirely on chat, and not much was known about them with the exception of their description in the original Nonja Invasion, also seen in Nonja Invasion: Redux. The introduction is fragmented because, essentially, Secret (yes, THAT Secret) asked what the Nonjas were. Note that nothing is mentioned of the base being underground, or much else for that matter.
Anyone that has experience chat-based roleplay knows how chaotic it can be. Things are regularly pulled from thin air, godmodding arises, and some things are completely random and nonsensical. The original Nonja Invasion was, in essence, a continuation of that chat roleplay where it could be carried on indefinitely as opposed to when someone has to leave. From there it evolved (through Nonja Invasion V2 and the other games) into a game more like NGI: Very controlled, very RP-like. The canon, however, remained upset.
Some pieces of canon even contradict each other. For instance, in the original Nonja Invasion, Temporarily9 presses an emergency switch that causes the entire base to essentially descend, and take up a new location underground. In the Nonja origin story Nonja Invasion: In the Beginning, it is stated that the base was always underground
These threads are the beginning of an effort to set the record straight, or at least firmly crooked. For the sake of canon, they will be about the version of Nonjas mentioned in the original Nonja Invasion, not the more futuristic NGI ones or PW ones.
