Okay... Forum is dying... Time for a revival scheme! Any ideas?
I analyze the problem like this...
ODBF deleted A few people come here Lots of posting Hype about move dies down Posting slows People get bored of NDBF because there aren't many posts They come on less often Even fewer posts More people fade away Fewer posts More people fade away Fewer posts ...
We need to raise the Forum to a sustainable activity level, at which point it should be able to succeed.
Ideas?
And Qwerty... Post in LD... LOL

According to the statistics, we are doing better than ever. If we just have people advertise, we can gain a lot more activity. Some forum stats: We are a forum with 76 unique visitors a day, one and a half thousand pageviews a day, four new users a day, 9 new threads a day, and 83 posts a day. On the worst day we've ever had (if you add up all the stuff), we still got 2 new threads, 1 new user, 18 posts, 21 unique visitors, and about 500 pageviews. We are hardly a dying forum. Here's the graph for new user signups (The spike at the beginning was the creation, skewed for obvious reasons): Oh, is that an increase I see at the end?

Heh, glad to know we are doing good. But, we still aren't making a lot of threads and posts. Other than the same members.

Qwert, that increase is no larger than the bump at 05/31, which went back down again.

Pr8, I merely meant to show that to show we aren't exactly declining. We are at the top of a couple small peaks. Of course, on a scale this small it means practically nothing.

i say advertise, I would gladly on fb but i actually know people there so i could be ridiculed etc, forums aren't the coolest thing (in the public view, NOT AT ALL WHAT I THINK btw...) so maybe get the uploading members to add the website and very quick description on EVERY upload hehe, bribe materoni to do it

Yup. What about Facepunch? I've been going after people to look at Powder Game and the community so they can see our ads there, so it doesn't seem like direct advertising.

Are you kidding me. I tried advertising on the comments board and got squashed by multiple people. It's hard. I had to go cut myself... a piece of cake.

Try the comment boards. We've gotten several people from there, almost all, in fact. Also, try uploading.

Uploading has never been my specialty. Besides I keep forgetting the upload times...
But I'll give the comment boards a try. Most of the popular ones that is. (Not something like Compasses)

And you did, by helping me do so. Thanks! (just putting that out there)
Just for advertising purposes, when are upload times?
(in +0 GMT a timezone)

Magic Powder hasn't 'squished' me at all. I just notified in the advertisements that we're not official, Listo is gone, and we just want an organized community for fun.
It seems to work, no negative rebuttals.

Magic Powder is fine with the new forums. Just not arguing about their superiority or officialdom.

Thanks, but please check the date before you post. While there are no rules about two-month bumps anymore, they are still considered rude.
Thanks for advertising, though.
