Mac is a type of PC. More specific?
I figured there was another thread, but I couldn't find it.

Windows or Mac? Most people see PC and think Mac, so... There's your clarification.

Windows is more customizable, but more likely to crash because of it. If you like gaming, it has to be Windows, no other option. Graphic designers seem to like Mac. Really, it depends on the person. Security, though, is way better in Windows.

Agreed. A lot of the programs that come with Macs such as iMovie and iPhoto are just wannabe Adobe stuff. In a way, Garageband is a wannabe Adobe Audition, but Garageband has tons more features. Garageband and Dashboard are the only things I like about Macs. They are also pretty fast, but so are good Windows CPUs.

I will not say anything here because it will anger other people. But if you want my choice, look at my stars.

So long as you don't use Kurai-logic, I don't see a problem...

windows
mac os x is alright, but windows is much more customizable, and has a lot better software for it, i think. i really prefer linux the most, the only thing i'd use windows for is games, which my computer is barely capable of running anyway.
i dont mind if you prefer mac os x, it is just that you should probably have real reasons to, i do not really know of any when it comes down to it.

Windows. More compatibility, games, options as far as manufacturer and such goes (as opposed to being limited to only Apple with Macs), and much cheaper computers makes Windows-based pc's win.

I switched to Mac after using Windows for 7 years and then getting 3 "Blue Screen of Death"s in less than a month.

I'm not going to assume you mean the same OS for seven years, but just Windows OS's in general for 7 years. Either way, three Blue Screens of Death in less than a month? I must sympathize with your conversion to Macintosh.
With my current computer (which was high end about a year ago, if it isn't still so now), I only had one Blue Screen of Death.
Outside.
In the snow.
In Portrait mode...

Yeah, no I personally used XP for 5 years, Vista for 6 months, and then 7 for the next year and a half. God I hated Vista. I'm surprised that I got the failures of Windows 7, but hey, what are you going to do. The first I could understand, it happens to everyone, the second was ridiculous, and then the third made me lose and eBay auction and 4 hours of work which for some reason wasn't saving, and that was the last straw. I'd also gotten one Blue Screen on XP and one on Vista, but three in less than a month... Absolutely ridiculous.

I've had the same 2007 XP computer since it came out, and it works perfectly fine. It has never ever even shown signs of crashing.

The only problem I've had with a Mac is when my brother 2006 iMac froze up on me.

PC. Mac is the kind of operating system that makes you pay extra for an app to copy and paste files. Not to mention compatibility issues: While many professional applications are available on Mac, many are not, and most unprofessional applications are not. Heck, the Half-Life series only came to Mac recently.

I Personally Prefer Windows, But Mac Is Ok. I Use Vista And Havent Had Problems With It. Why Do Many People Not Like It Or Norton?

Yes, mac does support Chrome. But I wouldn't worry about that, Safari runs at a decent speed on Mac, it's just not optimized for Windows.
